[Q] hcidump

Hello,
After 2 solid weeks of trying to locate hcidump, I need to turn to this group. I've tried flashing various versions from 2.1 to 2.3, stock, custom, etc. I've even looked into compiling this from Bluez source but it's just beyond my skill level.
*** does anyone know a custom ROM that has hcidump tool in it or the binary or any otherway I get get this onto my x10? ***
Thank you very much and I'd be happy to donate to any cause or person that can help me.
found it!
Hi,
Just when I had almost given up, I found this file. You can find it in the CM7 ROM. I was able to go into the update.zip and find it under /system/xbin. I transferred it over and it seems to work.
Thanks

Can you post a link or upload the file here?
CM7 ROM
Hi,
Here's the link to the compressed file for the CM7 ROM [looks like I'm too new to post URLs, so here it is in a long way]:
www
multiupload
com
/BE5KF9LCLW
Extract it and you'll see a folder /system/xbin subdirectory is a file called hcidump. That's the only file you need. I went to a different ROM and found a file called update.zip which contained the file. But, this link should get you there.
Copy the file to the X10, set permissions to execute you're in business.
Awesome! I needed this for a droix x2 and it works!
Since the download above is a whopping 101MB I've uploaded the file here
www<dot>mediafire<dot>com/file/bslhsmbftyr48bb/hcidump.zip
(I cant post links either!)

4.03.605.2 ruu

Does anyone have a valid download link for this RUU. I've tried all of the links from Android Police and they either give me a "folder invalid" message after the download, or they give me a broken link. I found a dropbox link from the thread in the General section and I got the same invalid message. I really need to flash this RUU. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks.

I tried all the Android Police mirrors and the links either don't work, or I get the invalid folder error after the download finishes (mirror 1). Also, that torrent link wasn't working.
EDIT: I just tried the first mirror on AP for the 4th time and still getting the error. Is there anywhere else this RUU is located?

I just redownloaded the file, AGAIN, from Android Polices AP Mirror #1 (which is hosted on beta.androidfilehost.com, a solid reliable hosting site) by clicking the link then the green arrow circle... about 3 minutes and it was done, double checked MD5 and it's still a match. If all these sites don't work for you AND the torrent doesn't work either, maybe the problem isn't with the mirrors or the file...

I tried this link after reading your post and I am downloading now. The green arrow may be misleading because it looks like those sponsored links. I first used the wrong blue download link at the bottom, not even considering the green arrow...
Mirror #1 worked great last night

The torrent didn't work because it didn't have any seeds.
As far as the RUU, I was only able to get Mirror 1 to work from my wife's phone. I tried downloading it on 3 different PCs at work (since my own phone isn't working) and each of them gave me the invalid folder error. Just a heads up to anyone else trying who possibly gets this error.
Shipped-roms.com, ......vigor section. DLs fast.

Check your winzip program. I kept getting a corrupt file error on every zip file I downloaded and ended up being the program not the file. I changed to 7zip and the error went away.

Thanks for the suggestion. The download I used from my wife's phone worked fine. I'll have to download 7zip on my work PC.

Screen Calibrate - Smooth Bean 1.5

Hi, I installed Smoother Bean 1.5 no problem. My touchscreen seems like it needs a re-calibrate. I tried several times with the zero bytes calibrate.ini and rebooting and also tried the Touch Screen Calibration app (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=934500)
I logged into shell and did a complete system search for TSCalibrate and could not find it.
Is there a particular way to calibrate the screen on Smoother Bean 1.5? I like this release.
Thank for your help

Since you've already posted a link to the thread which has a link to this very same file, it's better to provide a direct link to the post containing the original zip file instead of reposting the file again.
The reason for providing a link to the original post instead of reposting the files (both here on XDA and on other forums) is simple: If I update the zip files--for improvements or bug fixes, for example--then users will be sure to get the latest files if you point to the original post. If you repost the files, like you've done above, however, then people could end up using something obsolete or buggy.
If, for some reason, you must repost the file (on another forum which does not allow direct external links, say), then do repost the file, but, make sure that you also say where you got the original file from--for the reasons already given. And also because reading the posts surrounding mine will give some useful "context" for users using my files.
