[Q] Data Issue with Phonebreaker 2.1 Rom

Hi Guys,
I recently got the SG2 on AT&T (i777) and the first day I had it stock I was getting consistent H+ connection in my house and pretty much everywhere I was going. I ran the speedtest app a couple times, and I was averaging 2.5-4 mbps downloading which wasn't too bad.
That same night I rooted the phone and flashed Phonebreaker 2.1 rom following the correct steps (Not my first time rooting/flashing roms, I've done it to my Tmobile SG2 a few times). However the following day it seems my data connection has become inconsistent and speeds have slowed down to a drag. The indicator on the phone can never stay on H+ or even H..it consistently cycles from H+ to 3G to H (tried it in same locations as the first day with the phone). I ran the speedtest a few times and my download speeds ranged from 300Kbps to 1.6mbps if I was lucky.
I tried looking around in all the forums, I re-did the APN settings found in these forums, I troubleshooted with AT&T but to no avail.
Anyone have any suggestions? Would much appreciate it as I love this ROM minus this data issue I'm having.
FYI - Stock only shows H+ even if your not actually on it.
Its an illusion AT&T does to make the user think they have great connection everywhere.
Also try flashing a different modem, that might be the issue with your speeds, cause I changed to the leak's modem upon many request.
Thanks LiLChris06!
I tried the KH7 modem which did nothing, and I tried the KK6 which seemed to improve it a bit. I went into AT&T today and they said maybe it's just a defective phone and were willing to switch it out, which I might do.
However I love this ROM so much, is it available without the custom modem you added or with a different modem in the install rather then the UCLK2 I think you included?
Thanks

Hmmmm...what you mean by is it available without the custom modem? Maybe Im reading it wrong. As you know, because you said you have tried different modems, there are many different modems you can try. Shouldn't matter what modem the ROM comes with. Think there is a modem thread around here that has some good info. I think Task also just uploaded the the new LC5 Modem
I should have worded my reply a little better, and it might come across as a newbie question but basically I was wondering if that rom came with the stock modem the i777 comes with because when I had the phone the first day stock, the data speeds were pretty reasonable (3-4 mbps/downloading).
Wasn't sure if flashing different modems other then the one that came with the phone originally would help out my issue, but I suppose it doesn't hurt to try. I did find the UCLC5 modem so I'll try that in a few minutes along with the other ones I haven't tried. If no luck, I'm going back to AT&T to exchange, probably defective phone like they said.
Thanks again for everyone's help
Sweet, found a solution!
I tried all 7 different modems under the same conditions, KJ1, KJ4 and KK6 were around the same ball park. KH7 and UCLC5 were a bit slower but close to each other, UCLC2 was by far the worst..and the winner was KJ2, big difference.
Thanks guys!

[Q] random reboots...

hey guys, im having this issue with random reboots. been rooting since the eris, then dinc, now thunderbolt. now with the tbolt, i bought it around the beginning of the year and now its becoming more and more frequent these random reboots. it happens with every rom ive tried (XDABolt, killasense, thundershed's cm7, now GBR 3.3).
i thought it might of been the base i was using, but now i dont think it was cuz it seems to have happened again on the newest one (.19). the only thing that seems to be constant is this happens while the phone is in my pocket, and USUALLY when im moving around a lot, lots of heat/leg sweat. i actually hope that this is just a heating issue cuz then i at least know that its my own user fault, but i dont know for sure.
i dunno if a last_kmsg will help seeing if this is the case, but i was hoping someone more knowledgeable on these logs could help out?

also im currently running GBR 3.3 w/ stock kernel.
EDIT: O also i am currently using the oem extended from verizon, but this also happens w/ stock battery as well

Galaxy s3 wont switch from 3g to HSPA after sleep

Dear XDA,
Please help me resolve this issue:
Newly bought, stock unrooted galaxy s3 (cytanet Cyprus provider) will connect to HSPA once say the wifi is turned off and for as long as you use the internet and not let it sleep. As soon as it falls asleep, after waking it will be stuck on 3g yielding very uplink/downlink speeds.
I've had the same issue with my s2 on a samsung based ICS rom, only switching to an AOKP base helped. Shocked to find this issue persists on a new phone. Is there any way to fix this without rooting and flashing.
Your answers and feedback are much appreciated.
Best Regards

Sorry to ressurect this. But have tried every possible way. Nothing works. Apparently all Samsung roms have this issue on my network. As well as all samsung phones. If anyone has suggestions I would appreciate.

Which network are you on?
Have you tried every possible radio firmware for your phone? I had a similar issue with several phones in the past and it's usually been solved by changing to a different radio. YOU can find all the radios in cwm flashable zip/odin flashable tar in this thread.
Also what exactly have you tried, everything is a hard place to start to give advice from, a bullet point list will be helpful.

Thank you very much for your reply. Here are all the steps I have been through with this issue.
Galaxy S2 after ICS upgrade is when this first surfaced:
i)Went through all the settings for fast dormancy etc
ii)Flashed at least 15 different modems issue was present on all of them
iii)Flashed 4-5 different roms based on Samsung, the issue was present on all.
iv)Flashed Ressurection Remix. That fixed the issue.
Galaxy S3 - thought i would not have this issue on this phone, However it appears that this issue is confined to phones running samsung based roms or stock samsung roms on my network.
I am using Cytamobile-Vodafone based in Cyprus. I really dont wanna flash aosp or aokp to galaxy s3 as i will loose the S-beam functionality and I use it a lot.
I really appreciate your input.
Best Regards

PS: the Galaxy S3 is unrooted, I would like to keep it this way however if there is a solution that requires root and would allow me to stick with a Samsung rom I will gladly do it. I wonder if this issue will be present on the Galaxy Note 2 or all other Samsung phones.
PSS: Also I have received the official JB update for G3 and the issue is still there.

[HELP] Phone randomly reboots!!

Like the title states, my phone started rebooting multiple times today, I just flashed Eclipse2.0 the other day. I havnt had any issues at all until now. any help would be appreciated. If more info is needed let me know exactly what/ how to get that for you!! thanks in advanced!!!!
p.s. Ive searched forums for a solution, none seem to be relevant to what I am experiencing.
I get random reboots on all JB ROMs. I think its a fact of life until an official kernel is released. Please correct me if I'm wrong about the kernal.

[Q] Constant freeze ups on travel...

Hey guys I am at my wits end trying to figure this out. My Evo LTE freezes and locks up every time I travel even 5 minutes away. If I stay in one place I have no problems. I've tried going down the list and disabling wi-fi, CDMA only, etc and have had no luck. I haven't been able to find anyone one else having this issue and have updated all radios and firmware. Please help!!!
UPDATE: I have tried 4 different ROMs with no luck.
Try some custom ROM see if it helps... You can always go back to stock when you want but I don't really get the problem though :/
