[Q] Tethering Galaxy S2 with Ipad Air and Asus EEEPad - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I currently own an Asus EeePad and Samsung Galaxy S2 phone from Sprint and rooted both devices.
I'm planning on buying an Ipad Air 128 Gig but still trying to decide from where and what carrier is the cheapest and I wanted to know if I can buy the wifi version and wifi tether both to my cell instead of paying for the 4G monthly OR if I have to buy the 4g version to tether it with my cell. If this is possible, please let me know what app I can use to do this and if I need anything else to accomplish this. Thanks in advance and hope to get some assistance with this soon.

Are you getting one?

I know this is the Vibrant section but i am curious to find out how many of you have or will be buying the new Galaxy Tab and if you have or will what carrier? Did you stick with T-Mobile or bought one from the other 3 carriers?
I personally bought the T-Mobile tab and it is great, just waiting for someone to get it to work with a Vibrant SIM to have access to 3G.
When the wifi only version comes out I will probably get one, web pages render so much faster on the tab then on my ipad.
I'm leaning towards an Archos - cheaper, and larger hacking community.

No offense, but I'm surprised that some of you bought the Galaxy Tab especially after owning a Galaxy S phone and knowing the issues. I guess the Tab doesn't have the lag issues? Is it Touch Wiz? I know nothing about the Tab other than its expensive and its Samsung made so please bare with me. I'm definitely thinking about getting my lady a Archos Tab for X-Mas though.

I got the T-Mobile TAB. Thing is awesome. And it is much faster than the Vibrant because it doesn't run the dialer services and stuff.

[Q] New Buyers for the Samsung Galaxy S 2 4G

Please excuse my ignorance, I am very much looking forward to purchasing a Samsung Galaxy S 4G on AT&T.
I currently have a Nexus One and love all the features (tethering and wifi hotspot), now I found out that if I want to keep my features. I will have to buy an unlocked Samsung Galaxy S 4G just like my Nexus One.
<here is where I get all newbie>
Can I buy the AT&T locked and someone enable the above features and get around AT&T charging me and arm and leg?
thanks

[Q] Need some answers before getting the Note, help!

Hi, First off thanks for all the resources and all the information.
I got a couple of questions, concerns about getting the Galaxy Note and I was hoping I can get pointed in the best direction.
Currently I do own an iPhone 4, been using iPhone since the 1st gen and honestly was happy with jailbroken iOS until Android ICS and now Jellybean..
Here's my predicament.. I am currently have tmobile service in NY and I am on the tmobile tzone internet plan (basically a very old grandfather $5.99 internet), i love it, good plan and service, and its been cheaper for me to upgrade phones, than buy new phones with $20-$30 internet plans cause most of the time im always by a wifi. I now want the note. I really want the International note cause it has the home button I really like, but I know it doesn't work on 3g or HSPA+. So the questions:
1- Whats the best version to go with in my predicament
2- Would getting the AT&T version be better since I can get 3G working than the International version of the note
3- Is it possible to continue having my tzones data plan and use the NOTE
4- Should i get the Note now, seeing that rumors of Note 2 coming out soon
thanks for reading and your responses.
I would get the ATT version since getting the international version simply because of the home button and not having 3g seems like a waste in my opinion.
Assume you know T-Mobile is reported to be releasing a version of the Note in a month or so?

So. I have a full upgrade at t-mobile. Please help me figure out which android to get

Currently have the galaxy s 4g. It has been great.
I want the phone primarily with the best ROMs and of course good speed, etc out of the box.
Please help! What should I get?
Galaxy s3 without any shade of doubt mate
That's easy, go with the Galaxy S3 if you're going for another 2-yr contract.

Verizon model (SM-T867V)

I was able to find an immaculate Galaxy Tab S6 on OfferUp for a really good price ($300). Rather than the wifi-only model (SM-T860), it turned out to be a Verizon LTE version (SM-T867V). Anything I should know about this model? Does it receive Android updates at the same frequency as the wifi-only model (SM-T860)? Should I try and find a wifi-only SM-T860 model only, because <insert reason>? I don't really have a need for a cellular tablet per se, but I guess it's nice to have---unless, of course there'd be specific reasons not to opt for the Verizon model. I don't have any intention of rooting this thing either, at least not for the foreseeable future (maybe sometime down the road). It should be just as fast and perform just as well as the wifi-only SM-T860 model, right?
Any and all tips and suggestions would be much appreciated!
Thanks!

Hi Ron!
I would grab the verizon tablet even though the update might be slower than the wifi ones. The Android 10 doesn't give many cool new features. You could try to get the wifi version with bigger Ram and hard drive but it will cost you at least $600. With the cost of $300, I will definitely grab it.
Cheers,
Thomas
