Hello, could someone please explain to me how to get rid of the Small Apps and the whole Small Apps bar in the app switcher?

Open up the app switcher, maximise the small apps bar, settings, delete small app.

If you want to completely uninstall them, go to /data/app (some may be in /system/app) (root required), or if you just want to disable them, go to Settings->Apps->All
The white bar where the small apps are, can't (easily) be removed.
Thread below suggests it may be possible. Can you post back results?

It works I deleted both "SmallAppManagerService" and "SmallAppLauncher" and rebooted, and now it looks like stock AOSP

Are you rooted? Go to /system/app (i use Solid Explorer), and just delete or backup (i.e just move them to the SD card) the two files (or four if it's an odexed ROM), and reboot.
Yes, my Xperia Z Ultra is rooted. It worked great with Solid Explorer. Weird ASTRO File Explorer behavior...
All stupid Small Apps are now gone. Thanks a lot!

Any chance of a screen shot to see what it looks like? I don't see me ever using it tried that small video player app but can't see me using it with something else....

Can somebody post the .apk file for the calendar widget? It actually has a full-month view, which previous versions of the Moto calendar widget lacked. I'm currently running the Atrix HD launcher, circle clock, and weather, so I imagine this should work as well. Here is a screenshot from the Add Screen > Start with a Template > Mobile Office screen:

Yes need to be root. What I did i use is titanium backup. freeze original weather app and install this weather app weather via titanium .

What he said. I just downloaded the apk and installed right from the notification bar, like any amazon or sideloaded apk. No changing or permissions, etc.

depends on what exactly he wants to do with the spen.... draw overs..... notes over pics..... i believe doesnt work directly in the app i was thinking thats what he was talking about correct me if that app does that as im not using it.... gestures sure.... screen shot sure.... as thats not built in app anyway thats built in OS

File attached in OP now you download it and install normally
I got it install fine but when I press the online tap is empty. I tried to set up online photo but it said select a service but I don't see any option.
It takes a long time to load pics. Any suggestions on a fix? Using dagr8 hybrid ROM.

I'm using the Moto x camera app on my GS4 and i love it i can some and take pictures with one hand. you you guys would like to try it out here it is, Please say thanks when you see how awesome it works. it does not overwrite the oem app and you can uninstall at anytime

Yeah I'm thinking the member that posted it:what:. It's a regular apk. You can flash it like any other app.

Flashed and working well for me. Even have it set to my default camera widget from the LS. I like being able to take a picture by simply tapping the screen.

it should work on 4.3 it was originally built for Moto X that is Running 4.3.

3minit is nice, but for those that aren't rooted, notification toggle offers just as much.

I tried doing exactly as intructions was posted but it gives me that error when i try to work with file i copied over to my sd card only way it does let me edit it is if i open the original from original folder and after editing and setting permissions and all that i rebooted and got stuck in bootloop so i dont know how you edited the file and copied it back cause it would not let me can you create flashable zip of the edited files or help in any kind of way.thanks
I used free version and it worked i bought the paid version and it wouldnt work makes no sense
Try using Widgetsoid instead. Also you can customize it to match Samsung's own toggles. See my screenshot.

I tried doing exactly as intructions was posted but it gives me that error when i try to work with file i copied over to my sd card only way it does let me edit it is if i open the original from original folder and after editing and setting permissions and all that i rebooted and got stuck in bootloop so i dont know how you edited the file and copied it back cause it would not let me can you create flashable zip of the edited files or help in any kind of way.thanks

Sorry man, I just saw this, did you ever get it resolved?
I'm not sure everyone is aware of this but you can install tablet apps on this thing directly from Play Store.
I noticed straight away that Play Store was running in tablet mode on this phone and hence tablet apps will be visible and you can also install them.
Love it!

Yes I haven't changed a thing I'm not even rooted. Pure stock.
So you're saying you don't have this priviliege on your Z when running pure stock?

I can see them too, I get the option for a few tablet apps without root or any mods. Loving that launcher btw, thanks for that!

I've noticed this too, however it's not for all apps. CNN, for example, only shows their phone app, and unfortunately Flipboard only displays a the phone version too. This is on a completely stock ZU.
