If my phone is still under warranty would I be able to get a replacement one if it has software problems like being stuck at lg logo and saying security error?
I think they wouldn't replace it but fix it for you. What have you done to your phone?
Flashing a rom for an locked bootloader phone?
Can you fix it by kdz offline flash?

My bootloader is unlocked. One day on stock rom like a week after flashing a fresh kdz my phone just crashed so now whenever I start my phone there is a dead android with a red triangle over it. Whenever I flash a new kdz it changes nothing, my phone still boots to a dead android with a red triangle over it. I think it may be stuck in a recovery bootloop. So after I thought that, I used omap4boot and entered fastboot mode and flashed me a new recovery. But now in the recovery I cant do anything it says something like E error cant mount \cache or sd card and things pertaining to that. The recovery is also mirrored. So after about a month of posting on xda in the questions and l9 questions areas I decided that I would just try and replace it. So I flashed ics u and x boot which when I enter s/w upgrade mode doesn't say bootloader unlocked then I removed the custom recovery which makes it just load up to the lg logo and freeze
What questions might they ask me if I want it fix is there anything not to say to them
If you want to try sending it on warranty you can start here: https://www.lg.com/us/support/repair-service/schedule-repair
I don't know if they will replace it or repair it. I also don't know if unlocking the bootloader voids your warranty.
I sent my rooted P769 in under warranty. They replaced the flash memory and sent it back with the latest FW about a week later. Works fine now.
It only cost me about $5 to mail the phone to Texas. YMMV

You better say nothing about your phone but just "IT FREEZE" and let them check themselves. Before that I suggest you flash the ics kdz first because ics don't have bootloader checking and your phone can pretend to be "Offical".

Messing with the bootloader voids the warranty. So you'd be better off just booting to LGs logo and NOT the Security Error Security Error will tell any tech right away that you've been doing things you're "not" supposed to do.
Yeah be tactical. If they anyhow come to know your boot loader's status then you're screwed. I mean the security error stuff.

Dual booting has always been unstable and the only way out is to start from scratch. I would not advice dual booting unless you are able to spend time redoing it.

The only think that can hardbrick was that bootloader you flashed... Don't do that when it's completely unnecessary.

To tell you the truth I kind of don't know because it was working fine the day before this happens and when the next day came I try to check the time but the phone was dead.....
Then i relized that 2 days before this happen i tried rooting it which i wasint really good at or even knew how to root it so i download a kdz file and im guessing that is what probably caused but what i dont understand is when i try recovering it using lg support and when it gets to the update mode it keeps on stopping at 50% saying there was a problem between the phone and pc I tried using another computer and it told me the same problem.
P.s. I took it to a phone store they said it could fixed for 60 and they even said it just need an new kdz

Maybe try a different .kdz from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2107971
Sometimes files fail to download the way they should - maybe you have a corrupted kdz file and a new one will work?
Edit: Or maybe try the official update, you have instructions here: http://www.lg.com/us/support-mobile/lg-LGP769BK
P.S. If I was you, I'd simply unlock bootloader, flash a recovery and format from recovery. Then, I'd flash a ROM.

to enter download/odin mode from a power off state hold power and volume down. To get to a power off state, pull your battery.
If you can't get to odin mode...I have no idea how you can fix that.

If you can't get the phone to do ANYTHING. Not even odin or recovery modes. What other options would you expect there to be?
You can try to get it to do whatever it does when you press the power button while attached to your computer to see if you can get ADB to recognize the device. If so you could potentially force it to go into recovery.
I understand that but I still don't see why flahsing a wrong rom completely disabled the phone

Lol even if you don't understand, your phone still isn't going to work. If you can't get into Download Mode or Recovery, You can send it to get Jtag repaired at a number of places. This is signifcantly cheaper and they can unbrick your phone.
So this is situation
I had rooted device and hyperdrive rom. I went back to stock using Odin. Then I rooted again using saferoot method. I flashed custom recovery. I didn't even check if it has been installed correctly. Then I used boot unlocker app to unlock bootloader. App name is EZ-Unlock something. It asked me to reboot, I did and I can't turn on my screen. I used all type of combination. I tired keeping battery out for few hours and nothing is happening. I can't turn on screen at all. Nothing means nothing. Any idea please? I don't want to waste money with out getting help from here. Thanks in advance.

There is no "boot loader unlock" for the i545, just Loki for the MDK bootloader.
What bootloader did you start with? What build?
It sounds to me like whatever you used hosed your phone, which is pretty unusual. Normally you can at least get into bootloader mode.]
If you press the power button and plug in to your PC, what kind of device appears?

Ok, first off you cannot unlock the bootloader on this phone. MDK build is the only build that has a bootloader workaround, but it is still not unlocked.
What you will need to do is to find out what build you are on, download that .tar file, boot into download mode, and flash it through Odin.

Hi guys. I've been being a XDA reader for a long time so, today I decided to register in this great community.
As a Xperia phone owner (actually, I don't own a Xperia Z2 but I thought I rather post this question in this subforum since it's a general Xperia phones question and Z2 subforum is crowded, lol), I would like to know which flashing method is more effective when trying to recover a bricked phone: 'fastboot mode' or 'flash mode'.
I ask this question because my Xperia M2 is stuck in bootloop (I can power it on and both Sony and Xperia logo appears but when the "purple waves screen" appears, handset does nothing else, just keeps showing that purple screen with waves in motion).
I've been trying out to flash a .FTF file with Flashtool but to no avail. Once process is finished and reboot my phone, it gets stuck at same "purple waves screen".
The problem is that the bootloader isn't unlockable unless I send my phone to Sony Technical Service to change "Unlock Bootloader Allowed" to Yes (they can do it for free since my contract with carrier is finished). But before doing so (in order to enable fastboot commands), I would like to know whether or not it worths sending the phone to Sony. So:
Is there any chance I could recover my phone trying out to flash a ROM with fastboot commands enabled (bootloader unlockable and unlocked) knowing I wasn't able to recover it with 'flash mode' (flashtool)?
If so, which steps should I take? Maybe extracting .SIN files from within .FTF file? Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks in advance.
PD: Before flashtool, I also tried to recovery the phone using official PC Companion, but with same result as flashtool.
You cant realy recover a phone through fastboot (aside flashing a stock kernel.sin)
(asuming a custom kernel on LB is the cause)
There are many reasons for a brick but the most common ways of unbricking would be forcing off the device and flashing a FTF which can only be done via flashmode

Thanks for your reply, Envious_Data. If I flashed an entire ROM (.FTF Stock ROM file) with flashtool, kernel is supposed to have been replaced with stock one after the process, isn't it?
What do you suggest to do further? Firstly, I tried PC Companion. Then I tried Flashtool. My next step was going to be trying to unlock bootloader to enable fastboot commands but, from what you said, maybe that's not worth it... Any chance I could recover my phone myself without sending it to Sony? If I send it to Sony to convert BootLoader to Unlockable ("Unlock Bootloader Allowed: YES"), will the phone be recovered "collaterally" (maybe, to do so, they do a fresh ROM install and that fix the bootloop problem, I don't know, what do you think)?

They wont do that, they will refuse to help you unlock your bootloader unlockable
I recomend flashing a FULL FTF because it should fix your device if it isnt suffering hardware damage.

If your contract with carrier is finished, Sony can and, in deed, does convert the bootloader status from "Unlock Bootloader Allowed: NO" to "Unlock Bootloader Allowed: YES", but you have to send your phone to Sony Technical Service. From what I've been reading, in that process, techs do some flashing jobs, so maybe phone gets recovered collaterally... Any clue?
Have you tried waiting a bit for it to fully boot up? Seems like you just came from flashing and booting up the phone may take a while. I tried flashing LP rom earlier today, and it took me 20 mins before the phone boots up completely.

Hi das.dian24. Yes, I've been waiting for it to boot up more than 20 minutes, even 30 or 40 mins, but no luck. It's so weird. I can't believe I can't fix this bootloop problem flashing the phone either with flash mode or with fastboot mode. I don't think that's a hardware problem.
