Can you give me some more info and I'll try and help.
are you rooted?
unlocked bootloader?
Is there an option to select wifi on and off in settings?
does it display the available wifi access points?
can you take some screenshots to help us see what you see...
Did you drop it? unlikely but the signal amplification module could be damaged. (very unlikely)
That should give us something to work with

I guess its working again... glad I could be of assistance...

Android Beam not working

Hello everyone,
I purchased two I9300 (one for me and one for my wife) and we're tired of trying to use Android Beam. For some reason it just doesn't work (It doesn't do anything, no sound, no screen pop-up, nothing...)
Is there any way to test on each phone separately if the beam works or not?
Thanks in advance!
PS: Yes, I've checked it's activated, and yes the phones were restarted once again and yes it's the last firmware (It didn't work with the previous one either).
you also need to turn on wifi direct.
I would be careful using it, I heard the screen can break when bumping the phone together ! Joke

Xperia Sola Anyway to connect through USB port not WiFi??

Xperia Sola Anyway to connect through USB port not WiFi??
Of course there is, just use the cable provided with it
But jokes aside I was wondering the same thing sometime ago, mainly because I didn't have wifi installed, and from what I read it's quite complicated (or so I remember) and it's vastly easier just to buy a wifi access point then trying to set it up.

Help please! - "Obtaining IP address" WiFi problem on Galaxy SIII

Hello there.
I bought Samsung Galaxy SIII about two months ago, it was working great untill I updated it OTA. I had Android 4.04 before the update, when I updated it, it was still 4.04 but since then, my WiFi's not working. I mean, it works when I'm in the room where the router is, but when I leave the room, I don't have internet access. I updated to Jelly Bean OTA, still nothing. The problem is still there. Any suggestions? If you need more info about my phone, feel free to ask. Thank you in advance.
Anyone? Please help, without Wi-Fi my phone is useless for me.

Are you sure? Because I don't want to lose all my data. And I already tried it when I had Android 4.04 and it didn't fix it, but I did not try it on Jelly Bean.
Make a backup and then do a full reset . After that flash stock ics

Still nothing, any other ideas?
I doubt it has got something to do with the update. (I'm not saying it's impossible - It's just highly unlikely)
Maybe you typed the password wrong, or the security type is wrong.
Try deleting the network, from your device, and then checking out the different settings, like WEP, WPA, WPA2-Personal (PSK) and then checking if your password was/is incorrect

My password is not incorrect because I can connect when I'm in the room where the router is, but as soon as I leave, like 10 metres away from router, it disconnects and I get that " Obtaining IP address" error.

Stuck On Factory Boot Up Screen

I factory reset my LG Optimus L9 and when I try t do my e-mail I put it in and press enter. But then it comes up with the message "Can't establish a reliable connection to the server. This could be a temporary problem or your Android device may not be provisioned for data services. If it continues call customer service."
What do I do? I really don't want to call customer service, but I will as a last resort.

You're obviously replying over WiFi. Umm the only thing I would do at this time is download connectify and turn my PC into a hotspot and use the WiFi from there.

No GPS after sim-unlock

I request a sim unlock from the operator.
Eventually my phone motherboard was replaced at sony and the phone came unlocked.
The problem is, the GPS does not work at all!
GPS Status shows 10 satellites but none of them has signal.
Any one had this problem before ?
Thanks!

I guess that flashing custom kernel doesn't help? Try to reflash firmware several times, it worked for my bugged mini jack sensor.
Sent from my LT22i using xda app-developers app
My way to get it working is:
1. Edit manually gps.config or use this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.fastergps&hl=pl
After that it works but when I want to get some sat fixed i leave my phone aside near the window for 5 min and than usually it works.
I noticed that when the phone is still for a while the fix is faster I don't know why but it is.
Cheers
Cwikla
