I don't really care to find the ota, it's that there were several posts which possibly discussed the ota but I couldn't confirm one way or another since it wasn't in English.
As far as I know, I haven't seen both updates posted.

who cares about this OTA, joelz has 4.4/sense5 almost working for us. As per him it will be available for mass consumption soon.

It looks like if you haven't S-off, then accepting the update will prevent moonshine from working.
You should S-off your wife's phone and then wait for someone to post the update zip.

Far from a noob here but am new to the DNA.As in I just got it a week ago new.I'm s-off,unlocked,etc,etc and a little confused here.Taking the OTA with s-off will or won't soft brick?I would appreciate any feedback.

S-off wasn't the problem. Is your recovery and hboot stock? If not, some people have the same issue as you.

That's the same as the link in post 4, xboarder has removed the download to it, so that doesn't work either.

I was wondering about this too. Is there any reason to believe this to be true? I just got my warranty replacement 3D and have to start over with htc dev-unlock and juoponutbear wire trick for s-off.
I can't imagine living with the bloatware another day.
so actually when i check for htc software updates it says checking... but keeps checking and never comes off the checking to tell me whether or not an update is ready for my phone. anyone else have this problem or know how to fix? under my software number it shows the rom name and not a number. could this be the issue?

I think its because you're running a custom Rom. Try going back to stock. Also I would suggest you just wait til someone can grab the update and add some root.

This booted ok on Mik .02, but there seemed to be an issue with the stock browser. It kept closing after a few minutes with only 2 windows open. This happened about 5 times and after a reboot too.
The browser issue went away when I reloaded a backup I had.
I'm not sure if this had to do with this update, but I figured I'd share what happened when I tried to use it.
Flex, by all means I'm not trying to down the work you do here. Keep up the good work. :thumbup:

I have nandroids. But if I run this and it works well, come two months from now when an ota drops I don't want to have to use an old nandroid to take it. I want to either just be able to take it as is or run a revert and take it then.

Although I don't think that this will affect otas that just sounds lazy...not wanting to restore a nandroid? Unfortunately When u wanna tweak your phone not everything will be spoon fed..make a backup if your worried and restore to how it is now..or flash the rooted version of the ota which is what I always Do.. I'm assuming your on 1.19 since u take otas
Just received my Droid DNA from MobileTechVideos today. Got the S-off because I wanted to root, guide coming soon, but here is how I got my phone back. I sent my phone in new condition, just bought it, and received it the exact same. No indication the phone was open besides the side grill, which I just had to push back in place. Here is my video getting the phone back. Gonna work on a video on how to root today so be on the look out for that.

Got mine back today also. Already unlocked the bootloader and got recovery installed, about to flash a new rom now. Very quick turn around though, I sent it out last thursday and got it back today. No physical damage to the phone at all.

You can actually skip the unlocking process. I just flashed the Engineer's HBOOT, flashed a recovery, and that was it. Made a backup of the stock ROM (not rooted) and am now chilling on a Sense 5 ROM.

Still fairly new to all this, I have yet to unlock and root phone. Will taking the OTA effect rooting the phone in anyway?

Locked and unrooted and you're fine in applying the OTA. It's after you've unlocked and rooted that it gets interesting. Someone, hopefully, will have something flashable for those of us that didn't realize to do a backup before rooting of the phone which gives you better options for taking the OTA :laugh:

Battery definitely ain't as hot as it used to be, IMO
