I wanted to SIM-unlock my Sony Xperia P as it was locked to one network. I used flashtool to replace the current firmware. After flashing ICS everything was amazing, and it unlocked properly. If anyone is OK with ICS, this is something that can work. But I don't like that software, I would prefer the latest version.
I updated both via PCC and flashtool. After updating to a newer version, it relocked. The phone is working as it should on both firmwares. But I just can't get it unlocked on JB. I've seen a few threads, but none of them seemed so answer this question.
Does JB relocks it to a network? The ICS unlocked everything (see on photo). What is happening, any ideas?

You need to be on stock 2.3.3 ROM...you're going to have to repair your device using Sony PC companion, then root and unlock the bootloader
Hi, I am trying to find the latest official release of Jb for my S2. I was rooted but wanted to just put the latest official jb release. So I flashed an Orange branded ics firmware via Odin. But when I now connect to Kies it wont update. So Im looking for the latest release of jb ( branded or non branded ) to flash via Odin manually.
Any help finding said firmware appriciated.

Hello everyone, right now there is in Mexico an update from Samsung that enables the SIM unlock:

so... my questions are... rooting my phone will take the SIM unlock off? or installing a custom ROM?? the compilation number is: JZO54K.I8190LUBAND1 and the model is GT-I8190L would it be possible to root via Unified_Android_Toolkit_v1.2.8.exe??
thanks in advance and I apologize for my english I really don't use it in a regular basis (I posted this because even if it's a question I think is interesting that samsung is offering SIM unlock by FOTA update).
Hello guys, I tried to root my phone and something went wrong and my phone stopped booting and stopped going into recovery menu etc.
When I try to flash my stock frameware with Odin, I get the following error:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And this shows on my phone
Details about my phone
Im totally clueless from here. Whether it's my Odin version (v3.10) or my stock frameware.
Some help will be much appreciated.
Thank you very much.
Bootloader don't allow for downgrade so you'll have to flash same or higher firmware version that was previously on the phone.
