WIFI to USB

I want to use my smartphone to give WIFI to my PC.
So i need a simple software that does WIFI to USB routing. (NOT USB TO WIFI)
Please suggest me a software that does this.
(I know wmwifirouter does this but 30$ is too expensive)
I suggest you to use WMWifiRouter, but as you said that is too much expensive.
You need to pay for what you want
try

HARDWARE keys that do WIFI to USB cost 5$.... No way i pay a software that does that 30$!
Is there a new HTC internet sharing that does WIFI to USB??
You might try ICS Control v2.1. I never had much luck with it, but you can try it yourself. It supports nearly every possible connection, and even says that it can do WiFi to USB.

I tried, that software is crap. I guess only the programmer knows how to use his complicated program.
Try Mobile Wi-Fi Router it lets you use your phone's internet connection as a WiFi hotspot.

Can someone help?

I was just wondering if anyone has tried to change the wifi MAC address on the photon? And if not, do u guys know of any ways to do it on another phone that would work on the photon? Please help and thanks

why would you want to change it anyhow? banned from wifi? I know you can spoof them relatively easy from a command line in linux, if i recall MACs are pretty much hard coded to the adapter anyhow, are you unlocked and rooted? I dont see you getting far if you aren't at least rooted.

Hmm. You might want to test if your MAC address spoofing works at home. Basically, try a method to spoof a MAC address on your phone. Then connect to your router at home and in the router's config page (usually at 192.168.1.1) and see if the router is seeing the spoofed MAC address or the real one. That way you can tell for sure if it worked. Then try it at your school.
There might be a chance at your school that they have had to ban so many MAC addresses that they decided a whitelist is better and more effective. I went to a school that did this. If they did implement a whitelist, just find a whitelisted device (preferably one that's not used that often to prevent conflicts) and clone its MAC address.

How Can I Use 3G USB Modem with Tablet s?

is there any one know?
I have huawei E170 3G modem and disable flashdrive mod. I disabled with DC-Unlocker client
But Tablet S did not recognize the 3g modem (Unsupported USB Device Connect)
Please Developer Friends Help me.
Thank You

Here you've got some info. Unfortunately you will have to wait for a root solution.
yes I tried some posts but nothing else
Yes we are waiting developers friends
Tried it using an aircard but android only picks up the usb stick.
I dont know if it actually help but I saw this on tech republic when they open the tablet.
3G-ready motherboard and case: Sony left an open spot on the motherboard and inside the case for a 3G or 4G card. The internal mounting bracket even has screw holes for it.
Dont know if it is possible to add an internal modem or install driver for that.

Maybe this will help you http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25615728#post25615728
At least worked for me. It disables other functions of USB 3G sticks and leave them to be acting only as 3G modem, which then tablet recognizes.
Is there anything new? I have got rooted ICS on my tablet. Is it possible to use 3G USB Modem on my tablet? I have got 2 USB-Modems. The first is ZTE K3565-Z and the second is Option 4G Systems XS Stick P14. Is there a solution?

If darkjesus's method didn't work, then I'm not sure anything will. These modems are not easy to work on a lighter system like Android.
I'm happy to be proven wrong, of course.
In a german forum, i found an app called "UMTS Manager". With this app you can connect with 3G Networks with some Huawei-Sticks and maybe some other devices, too. They use mode-switch to switch device mode to modem only and then it works for them. Here's the link:
http://www.android-hilfe.de/asus-ee...-stick-zum-laufen-kriegen-17.html#post3236187
Of course, a lot of pages But some of them got ZTE K3565-Z working. For me it doensn't. Maybe we can find a solution
I found the reason, why it does not work on Tablet S. Our Tablet does not create ttyUSB*-devices when attaching 3G Modem to the Tablet. Normally it creates ttyUSB*-devices, attaches the Modem there and you are able to connect. I think it's a kernel issue or Sony modified the kernel. But with Custom Rom and Kernel which has got this "feature" it is possible to connect via 3G Modem. Maybe one of us could create this custom Rom..
So how?
Hi there friends
So any tablet s user here found a way to use 3G on this tablet?
About a year...is this question solved? I just bought sony tablet s 32gb wifi and of course hoping usb modem work

You will have better success looking for a portable 3G-to-WiFi hotspot device. Not only will you not have to worry about installing USB modem drivers, the device will work with a non-rooted tablet. Also, if you have a 3G smart phone, look into WiFi tethering.

[Q] phone to phone transmission

Hi,
I can't find this covered anywhere, but I am thinking in theory all the hardware exists in a mobile phone to communicate with another phone without going via a base station - I'm thinking a walkie talkie type thing. Phones have transmitters and receivers, so the hardware is all there as far as I can see. Does anyone know if the developer has access to the hardware on this level in order to do this as an app? Even in theory?
I know it would be possible (not necessarily easy!) using bluetooth or wifi signals, but a mobile is capable of transmitting much further with its hardware, so I wondered as an emergency thing, would it even be possible?
Thanks for your time

Sorry guys, but is this what counts as help on these forums?
I have a serious question. Does anyone know if this is possible? Now at a glance on the forum it looks like this has been answered.

Phone camera security

Hello, I don't know if this is the right forum to ask for this, please forgive me if it is not.
I want to ask if I turned off mobile network and wifi connection, can people still hack or spy me from my phone camera?
Or I am completely safe if I turned those two off?

You are never completely safe carrying a cell phone. It can be enabled and disabled remotely.

No, what I mean is, that if the device has power then anything can be activated without you knowing. Wifi, bt, camera, GPS ext. Heck there is even an option that offers to scan for wifi even when it is off. So use a bit of common sense and tell me what you think.
