Oh boy, I hope they decide to support all the g2 variants. I loved liquid on my gs2 skyrocket until they dropped support.
I tried the New 12/17 Nightly and its super fast, except IDK why but the SD Card is not being seen/mounted.
<3 liquid. Probably my favorite aosp team

I flashed it a while back. From what I remember it worked well.
I have not seen a development thread here about this ROM.

I flashed it earlier. No gapps baked in so you'll need to download them BEFORE flashing. The ROM doesn't see the sdcard. Until I see a definitive thread for this I will be sticking with cm11.

The SD card was the reason I left this ROM. It ran so smooth. I've loved this rom since the first time I flashed on the note 1 on att

Considering the similarities between the domestic variants of the Note 2 and their international counterparts, would anyone be willing to test some of the success that the folks over in the AT&T forum have had with porting the international N7100/N7105 firmware/ROM's over to the Verizon Note 2
Check out these two threads over in the AT&T forum and see what you all think:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2016575
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2018411
The basic gist of the procedure is to use a custom recovery like CWM or TWRP to flash a stock N7100/N7105 firmware, and then flash your carrier specific modem/kernel.
Why would anyone want to do this? Well, for starters, you would benefit from built-in stock-supported tethering, and a few other features that carriers disable (YMMV). But mainly this means that the domestic versions of the Note 2 can benefit from the development of the international versions! So, when the latest version of Android comes out for the rest of the world, we aren't stuck here waiting for our carrier to catch up to everyone else...
So what do you all think? Anyone willing to try?
ba-ba-ba-BUMP.
What about integrating carrier specific apps? The Verizon version has a data usage app that works without logging into my Verizon.
I do believe that is what scrosler was doing here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2055218 and he said this in the features " Verizon Patch files in a flashable zip can be found http://www.cleanroms.com/downloads/Note2/VZW Patch for 7105 Base.zip This will let the ROM think you are a VZW ROM! Good for the Play Store and APN settings! " But.... He did say he was unsure if it works on other roms in his second post. You possibly could try it. : )
Thanks. . But I'm already using his VZW rom

Any chance that Scott's patch would work on the CM10.1 nightlies for N7100? If I try it, do I risk bricking?
Sent from my Galaxy Note II using Tapatalk 2
You risk a soft brick. Just make a nandroid backup first and you'll be fine.
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app
Just make sure you don't flash modems and keep a stock kernel on hand
Yeah since the hardware is nearly identical I think the most you would risk is a soft brick. The 7100 lacks LTE though so I'm not sureif you would have data on one of those roms. Tell us how it goes if you go through with it.

I'm looking for a stable TW rom alternative to beans/cleanrom. I know some people have been using the verizon patch to make international roms work on verizon phones. I don't want to re-invent the wheel, so if you've applied the patch successfully to another rom and it works, which one and does it work 100%?
None at the moment. I might at some point down the road
So does this mean a custom ROM like Android Revolution HD 8.0 for N7100 will not work without adding a verizon patch to our verizon note 2?
The patch only applies to TW roms for the N7105 and American carriers. Roms for the n7100 require additional modification in order to run on LTE devices.
Can someone please post a link to the patch thread? Thank you.

Nvm. I got it now. I guess after flashing the verizon patch, I don't need to change the buildprop back like the instructions in that thread stated. I reflashed the rom and when in the buildprop. Well? Are our phones and the Canadian version compatible with each other?
Sent from my LG-E970 using xda premium
I'm not an expert (by any stretch), but no... I don't believe we can run this... although it is exciting that CM10 for the E973 has come that far.
I remember reading the comments of a user or a dev much more knowledgeable than I... he said that E973 can run E970 kernels, and E970 can run E973 kernels, but where the E973 has a leg up is that they can run Nexus 4 kernel... or something to that effect. I can't remember who said that and I tried searching for the post but can't find it, sorry.
Nevertheless... we are getting closer day by day, I would assume, and once this phone is running CM10...I'll be hanging up my flashing gloves for at least a year, probably two.
Yeah, we can't run this. The Canadian one can boot Nexus 4 kernels for some reason, hence 4.2, but we can't. It's stupid that all the variants are different.
That sucks I wonder if we will ever get a cm10.1 ROM why do the phones have to be so different.

Knock on still exists in the kernel.
Knock off will eventually be added to the launcher from what I read.
Until then,there are certainly workarounds.
I had knock on and knock off (on launcher AND any app via status bar) working on my *HTC ONE* before I got this. Using just Nova Launcher, Secure Settings, and GMD Gesture Controls
