My tab is HCL ME U2.Android 4.0.4.Now it is not sim supported.I have to connect to internet via dongle.Whenever I connect the dongle I find the option Use 2g networks only under the mobile networks setting.But can't check it.It automatically unticks.So how can I use 2g network.It drains my battery a lot.And 3g is costly in India.My tab is rooted. Anything to tweak the build.prop to get 2g networks option??Please help :crying::crying::crying:

I don't have any data on my mobile plan so I turned off data connection by going to
settings/menu/all settings/connections/advanced/select networks
I changed it to My ISP (from my provider).
but now I can't connect to the internet via wifi (at home or wifi hotspots).
Can someone please help me? What can I do to connect to internet via wifi?

go into settings and remove the current wifi settings reboot then readd the correct wifi settings, pass word etc
Hi I recently went to bangladesh for a holiday. I noticed that the apps can't connect to the internet. Apart from the internet apps e.g. opera, dolphin web browser these can connect to the internet. I had no issue with this when I was in the uk. I was wondering if it could be because since there is no 3g network in bangladesh my phone is using 2g network connection - edge connection. Could it be because of that? Also when I was in the UK my phone use to have HSDPA connection and all the apps work when it is connected via wifi.
Hmm strange issue.. Are you using stock SE rom? Are you sure that there is no 3g connection or maybe you disabled it?
I think its your.carrier, theres no way to prove it but who knows

If your phone is on roam, it won't connect unless you go into data settings and allow it to.
I have this problem to, and i have 3g connection but apps cant connect to the internet.
Enable internet while roaming. If problem persists then the carrier dosent support it.
is there a way to use the wifi network just for lan and the 3g network for internet at the same time?
i'll explain my issue:
when i connect my phone to my odb2 dongle using wifi i can use the odb2 interface but i have no access to internet...
while driving i'd like to record my car activity and use internet as well.
so i need wifi on to connect to the odb2 (but no internet access)
and 3g to use internet at the same time.
i've googled it but unsuccesfully.
do you have any suggestion?

I have this peculiar problem. I am using Micromax A116 dual SIM (Android 4.1.2)) with internet pack activated on both SIM.
The thing is when I use internet on my laptop using Wi-fi hotspot from my mobile, I am able to acess net on my laptop if data connection on SIM 1 is activated. But as soon as I switch my data connection to 2nd SIM i.e. SIM2 I am not able to access internet via Wi-fi Hotspot though I can access it through USB tethering. I don’t know what’s the problem though my wi-fi icon on laptop shows me connected on both occasion but I can’t access net on laptop. Please help.
might be your rom is not supporting dual sim hotspot... try other fast and stable 4.2.x roms in development section........

when I disable my Wifi connection, my Galaxy S21 does not automatically connect to a mobile network. I always need to disable "mobile connection" first and enable again, then it directly connect to mobile 3G/4G or %G network.
Is someone having the same issues?
