They are the same Ease of rooting depends on your current Android version. ICS is easier, but JellyBean can be rooted up thru V20H. I haven't seen any success on V20I or newer...

Thanks

I'm guessing it's because you're on the LL4 OTA which patched the exploit. Follow the guide in development.

In the future please search for an answer before asking. This gets asked all the time.
Now to answer you question rooting and unlocking to flush a custom ROM is the easiest way. You can do it without, but you have to mod every app that you want yourself

Yes also it's important to tell us the build number (or at least last digits) because we have two official builds and both are 4.1.1

its ll4
it says ll4
its super simple to root it and flash and I think thats your best bet for having all your apps multiwindow'ed. I had my doubts (only rooted once before and had a tricky process) but its really simple this time around. Just DL some files click a few buttons and your done in under 5 mins. I'm too lazy to find links and whatnot but if you are genuinely interested I can at least send you some stuff on how to root your phone.
Just follow this guide to root unlock and flash a ROM. It's the best walk through around

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using xda premium
the root is permanent. lately we have been replacing the 6th bin file during kdz actual flashing process. this bin file i guess contains super su and necessary files for root. markolino is another member who has created cm9 for locked bootloader l9 p760 ask him as well how he got around this block.
Im permanent root but i know people wich have the temporal

The opinions about the battery life are a bit controverse. How much are you able to get? A saying goes like this: Never touvh a running system. Thats something I ve learned in the past couple of years. Yes downgrade is possible with the offline flash method (read the how tos and faqs).

[OPEN EURO V10][P760]Stock Firmware

It took me some time to find but here it is. This is for P760 owners wishing to go downgrade to ICS or for those, like me, willing to experiment.

LOL. Don't bother. It didn't work. All it did was make my computer recognize my phone as a P760.
