So problem is i cant turn on my wifi..I tried everything i found on internet, even flashed stock firmware and same happens again.
When i go to data/misc/wifi/config i can see mac adress of wifi adapter, but when i go in wifi settings theres no adress. Some galaxy nexus users had same problem as me and they needed to send their phones to service to replace PCB.As we simillar hardware to Gnexus u assume its same problem with mine L9,but i hope someone had same problem and found solution.
Wifi worked till this morning.
Thanks in advance

I got that problem sometime when there're some error occur during phone boot up. Did you try to delete data/misc/wifi folder and then flash stock rom?

Can you tell me one thing,do you have nvram file in system/etc/wifi,mac adress is stored there too.I had simillar problem on friends ZTE Skate, but writing wifi mac in that file solved problem.I dont have that file so i think thats the problem. So if you have it can you upload it(without your mac) and give it to me so i can copy it anbd try that way

I don't have L9 now, it belong to my brother. Maybe some one can help you, if not I'll post it tomorrow.
From my knowledge, in CM rom, wifi MAC is written at boot and it use some function from RIL (baseband) library. Maybe you flash incorrect or incompatible kdz/baseband? But that should not happen with stock rom so I'm not sure what the problem.
Did you try to full wipe your phone? Format /data (delete all files not just wipe it) and remove your sdcard then reboot after flash rom or kdz.

Good morning guys, as the tittle says, I got some questions about patched files. I own a S3 (i9300) but I had the problem of "not registered in network" when I updated to 4.3 (It was fine at 4.1.2) so I fixed this using these files:
My questions are:
- Do I really have to patch those files everytime I wanna try any custom rom? (Only on roms based 4.4.4 I don't have to patch them and btw, I tried just patching the modem file and it fixed the network problem, I didn't have to use the kernel one)
- I don't know If installing stock kernels will fix the problem.
- Is there any other way to have network working fine?

You will just have to try a rom and see. Maybe sometimes yes maybe sometimes no.
If you don't want to do this all the time go get the imei repaired properly.

What do you mean with "repaired properly"? I was talking about customs and stock. It always happen, that's why I uploaded the files.

You require those files because you or someone else has "upset" your efs, causing either or both of you imei or serial number to go to a generic one causng you to lose calling etc.
If you got the imei and serial number fixed properly at a service center this would no longer be necessary.

No you are not, you can either continue to flash the files after each rom flash like you have been which honestly doesn't take long to simply flash it again or choose option b which is to get it repaired by samsung which will cost $.
Personally if the patched files are working fine I would stick to them.

Hi all,
Since 3 weeks I have this problem on my rn3pro sd version
I tryed to restore all backups I have with no luck.
I tried to flash china/global for miui 7/8/9 without success.
I think It's hardware failure. I tried ordered a brand new wifi antenna.
The imei is correct, the bt mac address it's already ok
Any tips for this?

Pretty weird are you able to connect to wifi mobile networks and Bluetooth device if yes then i would recommend to wait for the antenna to arrive although I think it's a hardware Issue and would require changing the logic board....
For this reason I'm suspecting the problem it's on wifi module

Once u turn on wifi the mac address would display correctly. Wrong mac address is displayed only when u reboot the phone nd wifi is set to off. But it wont affect the wifi functioning and the speed too.
As of now in LOS only issue persists is bluetooth MAC gets displayed incorrectly, but still BT works fine...

So I am fond of flashing custom ROMs and stuff on my mido and I carry knowledge about what I'm doing. Day before yesterday I was flashing Oreo 8.1 ROMs via TWRP. Accidentally I deleted everything in "/" folder (I suppose its called root folder idk). Terminal gave output saying something like rm -rf i don't recall exactly .. i thought i didn't mess up so i went forward flashing AEX 5.1 Beta ROM. The ROM booted perfectly but only issue I got was No WiFi and data signals... I thought i messed up with firmware so i went ahead and flashed sock ROM via MI FLASH. It flashed successfully but when my device rebooted I started setting it up until it started rebooting again and again... It's not normal boot-loop... i am getting past Mi logo and even able to go through setup wizard but unable to complete it... when i start setting device up it freezes and then restarts and that's it!
what i have tried:
1) Flashing in EDL mode
2) Flashing TWRP/ RedWolf recovery and formatting data
3) Flashing Custom ROM (The issue persisits the device boots succesfully the reboots)
4) Tried flashing via QFIL but cant seem to make it work (fh_loader stops working)
Is it software issue or hardware? It must be software right? or else phone wouldnot have booted successfully
P.S: Under Device Info it shows MAC as 20:00:00:00:00:00 and WiFi wont turn on, same with Bluetooth (Mobile signals work perfectly)
I think i messed up with partitions someone PLEASE HELP!

you actually messed up your device bad. basically the '/' directory has folders containing files which the linux os requires. there are dev scripts which perform the backend tasks, and if they all are deleted, well sorry to say, the device then is just an expensive paperweight. not sure how you are still able to boot. Basically rm -rf command deletes all the writable partitions of android. maybe the device is booting up on the support of blobs. but there are very little chances to get back normal. sorry but unable to help

Hey, I got it working up and fine. What actually helped was flashing the stock rom with QFIL tool. The device booted up successfully and right now I'm writing this with my mido only ? All the partitions have been recovered successfully and WiFi and Bluetooth are up and running too! The only issue is that QFIL wiped my IMEI. I'm sure there must be some way to write IMEI back. If you know you may help too ?

Hey, sorry for late I'm here now! Listen, I followed the same procedure as mentioned in Mi forum. I got the same error! It might say that fh_loader stopped working right? The solution was to flash stock miui rom. I need these files please if somebody can share:
- modemst1 - modemst2 - fsg
Due to a kake ROM now I have corrupted my EFS partition and need those files to bring alive my device. Please help.
I have found MEE7 files in the web but I guess don't have to use on my phone.
Please, somebody with MEG7 can help me? I will be very glad to buy him a beer.
Hey there! I'm not currently at home now, but I can give you a direct link to NEGMIFA Rom(for Global Version phones), you can extract files you need by yourself.
Download_V9.5.11.0.NEGMIFA (as you can see, its an old version)
OR you can download_fastboot_ROM, and flash it with MiFlashTool, it should solve your problems.
Have a nice day.
P.S. If you cant download something by any reason, I'll make a mirror on googledrive or other filehost in an hour or two when I get at home.
I read somewhere that modemst1 and modemst2 contain IMEI so the rom doesn't have those files.
Fsg is also related to IMEI
Well, as far as I understand your phone not working at all, correct me if I wrong. So my algorithm to make it work is to flash it first(fastboot), doesnt matter with or without your IMEI(I think it'll be 0000), then you can search on xda or whatever, there was a bunch of threads with IMEI "problems", I'm sure you can find the right one.
Have a nice day.

Hi Dunaldo, thanks for your time.
Currently my phone is working on official miui 10 developer rom, it was bricked until I could open the bootloader and install twrp.
Now, the problems I have are:
1.- Baseband "UNKNOW"
2.- When I digit *#06# on the dialer: "UNABLE TO GET IMEI"
So I was reading a lot in the forums, and ,my conclusion is: I have corrupted the EFS partition or probably I lost it, then I need first to solve the "baseband" problem, for that I need the modemst1 - modemst2 - fsg files of my exactly device model and then I can get back mi unique IMEI.
By the way do you have the MEG7 model?
And thanks for your suggestion about flashing fastboot rom, I will try once more, don't think will resolve the efs problem but I'll try anyway.
I have the same problem & i have used the files ur looking for but everytime i restart the phone my baseband again becomes unknown ?? if u want i can give u the file link tomorrow but its no use
Search Qcn file in google for your model . restore it using QPST and write your imei thats all tested MEI7 works perfectly
Any solution?

Hey there! I hope you are doing well. Could you please tell me the process? I am be so glad if I can recover this phone. I have similar issues like you.
After unlock, i always do a full backup of all block partitions. It saves many issues
After unlocking the bootloader flashed magisk and data decrypt imei and baseband are lost can I restore it?before going to service center:crying:?
Download a global Stock ROM for your device and just run the flash all.bat file and let it run may take awhile and phone will be fresh again
HELP !!! I'm getting the same issue but don't care if i brick the phone.
No matter how many times i flash use different roms i still lose my IMEI/Baseband
I have an external SD card but it looks complicated to backup the EFS file to the SD card and then restore it to the phone but is that my only option ?

Download a global Stock ROM for your device and just run the flash all.bat file and let it run may take awhile and phone will be fresh again

Don't disable forceencrypt, that's your problem.

Did you flash a recovery rom or a fastboot rom? You should find flashing the fastboot rom restores everything correctly.

I tried restoring the phone using a fastboot rom, but the baseband and IMEI errors still appear. Does anyone know about another solution or tool for this? I know both of my IMEI numbers, by the way.

Every time I got this problem I found that flashing a fastboot ROM fixed it. I never managed to find any other solution that actually worked. Googling the problem I did find some solutions, but I didn't try them all. I just gave up and kept stock ROM with Magisk, then debloated it as much as I could. All I can suggest is seeing what Google throws up and seeing if any solution works for you.
anyone found a fix yet?
I have the mistake of rooting my device and disabling the encrypt, Now I have unknown baseband and my imei is blank. What do i do now?
