Some hints:
1. Keep in mind that this are early beta stage builds!!!!!! Means bugs can happen. So please only use this builds if you want to help us and iron out the bugs with proper bugreports etc (see third post about how to submit a bugreport)
2. Be sure you are on latest CWM recovery!!!!!! download it here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2200501
3. Not all gapps packages right now are nice working. You can try others but at least I know that the one linked here is working (it only does not have the new google launcher). If you have other gapps which are working you can link it here of course
4. Full wipe when coming from any 4.3 rom (as well format system manually please)
Download:

Gapps:
please only use our gapps for now

Reporting Bugs
When you submit a bug you want to make sure that nothing from your side is causing it. Otherwise your developer might be hunting a bug which doesn't really exist.
The best way to achieve this is by doing the following.
1. Make a nandroid backup.
2. Perform a full wipe (factory reset + wipe /system)
Now we have two different ways depending on what kind of problem you're having.
3a. When you're having a problem with a ROM function, flash just the ROM without GAPPS etc. and boot back into the system. You will boot directly onto the homescreen.
3b. When you're having a problem with a 3rd party app in combination with our ROM then flash the ROM and GAPPS.
Boot now back into the system. You will boot to the setup wizard.
Log in to your Google account but make sure that you untick "Restore from my Google Account to this phone/tablet".
Finish the setup and open the playstore and download only the app you're having problems with.
4. Start a logcat recording and reproduce the bug (if possible more than once) while taking the logcat. If you don't know how to get a logcat read this tutorial or this.
5. Post the logcat in a txt file (this is important because you otherwise clog up the threads with your log) in the correct thread.
Please also write detailed description how we can reproduce the bug.
6. Restore your backup from point 1 and wait for a fix (don't ask for ETAs).
Yay!!
Finally. It's here. After a long wait.
Downloading.
Wait for it! Wait for it! You can jump up and down in front of your PC/laptop now, SlimKat is here!
yes!
Yeeeah new kitkat
Here I am come SlimKat.:laugh::good:
Very good. Downloading right now!
Is there a not-working list? The CM11 kernels works right? But the r2p3 or the normal ones?
Great rom.
Couple of questions, how go I turn off touch lights for menu and back?
My external SD shows full but isn't? Any ideas, was ok on 4.3.1?
Lastly, I'm guessing quick settings haven't been implemented yes?
Thanks in advance for your awesome work!

I tried that and sadly it seems the system itself doesn't allow a downgrade. I think I might've missed something though.
Also just wondering but a lot of features are missing, are they going to return later on in the stable build?

I'll give it a go later and see if I can come up with anything for you if I get time.
They will return. There's new features coming, old ones that have been revamped, some other features depend on those two so have to wait, and some just haven't been implemented yet.

Hi
Can anyone explain me what the purpose of this ROM ? I mean why would I choose it instead of Carbon, in other word give me some reasons to love it please...
Basically its a verry streamlined Rom with some uniqe and a cherrypick of popular features with the main idea to stay clean, fast and stable.

Menus sometimes are a little complicated, to remember and to find the right way...Carbon is MORE better organized with CarbonFibers menu.
In fact often sub menus are hiddens into a single row... The power of Slim is the absolute custom option.

You're right. English screenshots, next time and as soon as possible.
Both roms are stable (roots are same, CM with a look at AOSP+) and fast.
Differences are minimal and just a question of taste and needs, wich are strictly personal and you can approve only trying. Here few example in difference that I found:
1) Lockscreen: Slim=8 targets, Carbon= AOKP Ribbons;
2) Interface Transparency: Carbon has AOKP controls with better control; Slim allow colorized (Carbon has commits waiting for introduce);
3) Toggles: Carbon has animated toggles, camera toggle and a little bit more toggles to choice.
Etc. Etc.
Actually the only thing that me let choose Slim instead of Carbon is a little issue with the double tap on Home button. For the rest, Carbon is my preferred, CarbonFiber is an added value that makes Carbon organized and professional.
As you see the choice is strictly personal, only trying you can the best dress for you.
If you use your device for work as me, backup 'n try, backup 'n try, backup 'n try, backup 'n try................ :good:
If you have a little bit of time, take a look to the official board site, you'll find tons of informations, themes, addons and more...

@PippoX3
heads up a few big changes will be hitting the CM repo for the X+ in the next few hours (some have already been implemented)
http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/52602/
http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/52404/
http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/52398/
along with
http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/52599/
and there will be a kernel change once i get it to compile again along with a ramdisk change which is this
http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/52640/
these except for the ramdisk change are all for the new audio implementation, we are yet to upload the updated vendor folder, but i'm just making you aware of the changes needed.
pollyd+jpolly are no longer needed, and that's been removed from the ramdisk, i'm working on removing it from the commons folder and back into the endeavoru device tree, but for now you can manually remove it and stop it building.
-Lloir
*edit*
the kernel change is 100% required no way around it. for the correct audio to work once again
Really really Thanks a Lot @Lloir !
I saw last days the movements of polly's service from enrc2b to tegra3-common... but in other projects would have been more difficult to see them!
Libhardware & Libhardware_legacy --> are directly pick-up from CM to Carbon (Slim has its owns).
Frameworks_AV --> forked from CM to Carbon (Slim has its owns).
The rest is simple. Thanks a lot again. I will have a little to play about!
Edit: Will be changes to kernel project too?
Since everyone's asking for a separate thread (and I want a sticky post), here's one.
BIG IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Seriously, read this
I'm trying a thing here - discussion and all that for version 5 (and yes, there's a version 5) will be on Reddit, more specifically, here: http://www.reddit.com/r/oneplus/comments/2moqig/cm12_nonscheduled_builds_discussionupdate_thread/
This is my attempt at keeping things clean. We'll see how it goes. I won't be reading this thread.
Version 4:
Updated to Android 5.0.0_r6 across the board
Features!
Reboot, airplane mode, etc. in power menu
Hardware key rebinding
Battery percentage in statusbar
Call blacklist
Dialer lookup
Protected apps
Profiles
Kill all apps button
More?
HSPA+ also has the correct statusbar icon now
Clean build, so things will hopefully stop regressing randomly
Fixed in version 3.1:
Mobile network icon showing 3G when actually on 4G
Fixed in version 3:
Bluetooth
Some miscellaneous improvements
Fixed in version 2:
Slow boot (for real this time!)
Settings alarms causing a bootloop
Download limit exceeded, save the file to your Yandex.Disk
Also, face unlock works with new Gapps!
Fixed in version 1:
NFC
Slow boot
Enabled multi-user
Not fixed:
Keyboard crashes on swipe input (upstream, use the Play Store version)
Video recording only captures sound
More?
How to install:
Boot to recovery
Flash the latest build: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=21188
Flash GApps: https://s.basketbuild.com/gapps
Flash SuperSU: http://download.chainfire.eu/593/SuperSU/BETA-SuperSU-v2.19.zip

Full wipe before upgrading from CM11, things will go horribly wrong if you don't.
Might also need a wipe between versions, at least it didn't work right until I wiped.
DON'T flash custom kernels on this, it may or may not break horribly and you don't want to try
For developers: this is built from the latest CM12 source, here's what's different:
Removed com.qualcomm.location.apk, the new version depends on CM's MSim code which is not (yet) in L, and I can't be arsed to find an old one that works
Added overlays to enable multi-user

Added to Dropbox. I'm mobile so its hard to upload. Mirrors would help. I think I'm missing binaries (not on googles site) I'll look later. Would love to make this a community effort. AOSP is a lot faster then stock.
I ran a build myself. Haven't had the chance to see what may be missing. Would you mind sharing the fix for recovery being overwritten?

Encryption enabled by default?
Yes. And Milly7 its in BoardConfig.mk I can do it later today.
Added an androidfilehost link.
This may be a dumb question but how different is this from the stock lolipop on the Nexus 6? I've used AOSP before but it's been a while.
You'll lose all the proprietary google apps as the default options. But you can download them from the play store. I am noticing a huge difference in performance tho. I'm hoping to fix the video playback soon. I want to just add a battery percentage option tho then I'll just optimize without touching hardware or kernel.
Would someone mind uploading the gallery.apk from this build? Currently using an older one which force closes on the editor screen and don't want to backup->flash->pull apk->restore.
Thanks for this papi92. I compared the vendor folder from the stock image to aosp and it appears quite a few files are missing. I really don't know how to add them and have always relied on devs such as yourself. Can upload the stock vendor folder if you need it.
That'd help a lot but those won't be the only ones missing. Some go in weird spots. I just need the missing ones.
Here is my vendor file for anyone who can help https://github.com/papi92/android_vendor
...and it begins. Thanks OP!
Here are the vendor files from the stock image. http://d-h.st/XV7
I was looking at them on 2 different computers so it was hard to tell which were different, but there are quite a few missing.
Ya I'll try to figure it when I have time. My daughter was born on the 21st so I was just trying to help people get started. I'm hoping the community helps with this. It'd be nice to get a solid base for the Nexus 6

INSTALL GUIDE
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1deBgPOQnX3chWDt2hZdCXi1r1GuhQZvJtyLu-O4QNtA/pub
You need to flash the latest TWRP from here if you are planning to use a Marshmallow ROM. This is a must.
Also note that when you flash Gapps, refrain from flashing full or stock versions as it is found to mess with smooth functioning of the ROM, like the dialer. If you use Open Gapps, the best bet is to flash the pico version. Rest of the apps can be downloaded from the Playstore.
Note: ROM's for Galaxy Mega 6.3 are provided with no warranty. You are installing this software at your own risk. You may be violating your warranty.
Warning: Do not restore backup data of system apps!
If you restore a bad backup with cached settings in telephony.db in data/data/com.*.*.telephony it can break MMS.
It seems that restoring backups can also break Calendar sync.

UPGRADES
Upgrades from previous versions of ROM's are the same process as install, except you do not need to wipe anything. Contrary to popular belief, you do not need to even wipe cache and dalvik-cache when upgrading between versions. You only need to wipe if you are doing a major upgrade, switching to a different ROM entirely, or attempting to fix bugs caused by bad backups or corrupt app data. Updates will be notified via OTA.

FAQ
Q: How the heck do I get root?
A: Goto Settings and About Phone. Tap Build number 7 times. Go back and enter Developer options. Change Root access to desired method.
Q: How to get compass working?
A: Shake the phone around in the air a few times.
OVERCLOCKED KERNELS
As I don't want any user who doesn't know what he is doing flashing this kernel, I have made the folder containing them encrypted. Decryption keys will be sent to people asking for them via PM / email. You can then use it to get the actual files. This will be needed only the first time. The files are available here.
Also note that I am providing these kernels with no tests made from my side, so expect issues. If you are not willing to take the risk, DO NOT FLASH. I will take no responsibility if your device ends up dead.
The cpu frequency has been hardlimited to the stock value of 1728000. If you want to overclock, you need to edit the /sys/kernel/cpufreq/hardlimit file and change the value to your liking. Don't go over the max value of 2052000.
KNOWN ISSUES?
Ghost button touches. Menu and sometimes back button get activated without user input. Only fix as of now is to change the short tap activity to none.
Update : Seems there are other devices that have the same issue. See here. Read the last post.

I wanted to say that version 2.1 is perfect but 2.4 is already out so time to flash! On 2.1 I tried quite everything to make sure everything was working: gps, bluetooth (pebble and miband); I can't say anything about battery, it depends on my work: sometimes I live with phone in my hand, other times I use it only during lunch or small breaks..
Thanks a lot Silesh for your work, it's a pleasure see you also on xda

I didn't see it, i think that when i'll have some free days, i will give it a try. But for now temasek is really awesome. Latest version is really fast.
Welcome back Silesh. Temasek is working flawlessly.
Thank you and everyone involved for all the work you have done for us
I am replacing the OTA update app from the next build. Gonna use slimota. There will no launcher icon for this. It will be integrated into settings.
For temasek its accessible from Settings->OTA Updates.
For stock cm, its in Settings->About Phone->Cyanogenmod Updates.
Insufficient storage error
I dont think this is a rom related issue but maybe you guys have a solution for it:
Whenever i try to install a an app i get this error, even i have enough space to install it:

Edit: After deleting all cache from storege overview, it downloaded the app.
Temasek v.2.6 flashed (over v.2.4)and as everytime, all is OK. Allready with xposed and all is fine. TY once more time.
