CM 10.2 Headset button not working - LG Optimus L9 P760, P765, P768, P769

I'm using CM 10.2 on my LG L9 (p760) but I'm unable to use the headset button.
It seems that many apps do not recognize it, including Poweramp and during phone calls. Is this a known issue with CM roms?

Yes it is a CM bug and exists in slim as well as in pacman too. Although in PA is guess those work.

That bug exists in official CM but I think most custom CM already fixed that bug. You can put following file in system/usr/keylayout/ to re-map headset button. Please rename omap4-keypad.txt to omap4-keypad.kl before copy it to your phone.

You are the man! My headset button is working now!!
Note: I still cannot post any comment in the developers threads, but CM 10.2 version by mateo1111, latest build of December 5 still has not solved this, so your fix is very helpful :good:

[Q] Cannot open Incognito taps on Temasek's CM11 v10

Hi!
I've just installed the v10 of Temasek's CM rom and I get a FC message whenever I try to open a new Incognito tab in the default internet explorer. Is there any way to fix this?
Thank you!
P.D. I just realized that I wrote "taps" instead of "tabs" on the topic's title.

Thats a known bug on 4.4 Roms for 9300. AFAIR no solution yet until this gets fixed oficially.
You could use another browser though.

Fix for FM Radio (For both AOSP and CM based ROMs)

Hi All, I could able to fix the FM Radio on XenonHD current version (0706 build). After the compass fix (thanks to @vasishath) I was looking for a fix for the FM radio. As I didn't get any solution, thought of giving it a try myself.
I have tested it on my Mi3, it is working fine. Need confirmation from Mi4 users whether it is working or not.
Do not forget to change the Region from FM setting for your country.
Will it work on any other ROM where FM is not working or not there at all? Check the EDIT section.
Enjoy & Thanks!
EDIT 1: The fix is working on both AOSP and CM based ROMs where FM is inbuilt, hence changing the name of the thread and also the file name.
Thanks @pkatsaras (on Mi4 Banks CM build) for the confirmation.
EDIT 2: The fix is working on ROMs where FM is not present by default. You just need to create the required directory structure first before flashing it. Here is the link which has the detailed instructions.
Thanks @heerarana (on RR 07/24 build) for the confirmation.
Thanks. It worked.

I am using Bitti's cm 12.1 rom
Worked for me too... I'm in Team eos mi3
This fix is working perfectly on my Mi4 on latest resurrection remix rom!
Huge thanks!
Working fine on AICP 10 release...
Thank you...

I'm on Candy5 with FM inbuilt, try this fix but seem not working, keep getting FM is not on, do I have to uninstall the inbuilt FM Radio before flash this fix. I can see the file folder structure are the same as you mention at first post

Thanks for the feedback. No, uninstall is not needed as the fix takes care of that. I will look into it for sure but need some time.

Thanks for the feedback bro. Strangely the same fix used to work on CM Cancro earlier builds (some other members confirmed that). Not sure if there is any update to the device tree which might be causing this. Will look into it but it may take some time.
Cheers
thanks for looking into it... and i also wanted you to know that I followed the special steps for RR roms... and that didnt work too..
more power!
The recent change in device tree is causing the fix to fail in some ROMs. Unfortunately couldn't find till now what change has broken it. It is still working in ROMs where changes are not done device tree recently.
UPDATE: Today I flashed TipsyOS and found there is no FM in there. So used my fix to install the FM and it is working very well.
Cheers
Unfortunately the fix does not work in Omnirom.

That's right because Omni (till now) doesn't have the sources for the FM to work. Can't do anything until the support goes in on Omni for FM.

Try AICP v10 Nightly (9th August build). Very stable and feature rich. I am on it. Very good experience. But don't update to 11/13 Aug build as it has SOD.

I believe AICP has inbuilt and forced - i.e. without my choice - "anti-piracy support measures". I like my system to be as clean as possible (I even use the pico gapps from tk so as to not install anything I don't want) and not want any extra "features" which are detrimental.
Tomorrow, they might think that xposed or ad blockers are bad - or some of them may even do worse things like what Lenovo did (not saying that AICP is doing that) - do not want to get into that situation. I am on Android because there is freedom of choice as compared to iOS and Windows, don't want it to get curtailed.

Can someone tell me which stable rom has its car bluetooth rom working?

Hi guys!
Have someone met the same problem as me? its so frustrating. im always having problems with the official miui rom or some of our beloved developer rom. Either it doesnt save the bluetooth info in my car (ie everything i switch on the car, i need to rekey in the password) or the bluetooth just switch off every few secs..
Perhaps I havent tried all the roms, but can someone tell me which rom is working for the car bluetooth? would really appreciate it!
I'm using sMIUI 7.0.8 stable because of the Xposed compatibility and works fine with my car (Toyota) and the other ones from my job (Nissan).
I heard that Stable 7.0.6.0 is the best version for bluetooth. Some people have problems with 7.0.8.0 and 7.1.3.0
Yeap, Stable 7.0.6.0 has no problems
I have this problem with all miui roms on my redmi note 2 prime.
---------- Post added at 05:01 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:00 PM ----------
It's working win I use a cyanogen mod.....
I could never get it to work on my car (BMW) with any CM or AOSP based ROM. However, in all the miui ROMs I have used, bluetooth works fine. I am currently on SlimMIUI V7.1.3.0 (stable) - see http://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-2/development/rom-slimmiui-dev-stable-t3296594
Bule's CM ROM works fine for me on BT. All the other CM ROMs crashed when connected to my car.
Bules ROM worked fine for a few days but BT is now crashing when it connects to my car.

Build 11 (number 2) here: http://en.miui.com/thread-194162-1-1.html
I also recently learned that flashing modem P37 may fix all the CM ROMs. I haven't tried it yet, though.
Thanks. Presumably this means that any CM ROM that is based on Bule will also work? It doesn't seem that Bule is developing his ROM anymore (or perhaps he is doing it in another place?).

BT on Bule's ROM is now crashing on connection to my car.
I have tried 4 CM ROMs now and BT crashes on all of them. I have even tried the suggested P37 modem cure but it doesn't help.
Looks like I'll have to go back to MIUI.

Bule's ROM worked fine for a few days and then crashed when I tried to make a call. I had to restore the phone to get it working again as a reboot wouldn't fix it.
I then installed P37 and the BT wouldn't work at all.

Unfortunately so - for me, anyway. Looks like I'm going to have to go back to MIUI.
The problem seems to occur mostly when sharing contacts. Music etc is OK on Bule but after several days it just crashed when I was making a call. I dunno if it was the call making procedure set it off or if it just happened.
It seems like all CM ROMs have some BT issue.

That's a negative. My understanding is the soak test is needed in the plus because of finger print scanner issues. I have the XT1625 and it runs great without the soak test. Flash the quark kernel too. Waaaaaay better benchmark results.
stkpxl said:
I just installed it. Definitely didn't need the soak test. VoLTE works too when I called my voicemail to check. No crash on the Gallery app either like I've seen reported. And the best part for me is that Republic Wireless works with it and the app works too! Usually they don't support custom ROMs but this time everything works.

Glad to hear you're all set up. Try quark kernel when you get a chance. Makes sure you get 2.0,because the other ones caused a boot loop for me.
I've just rooted my phone, I'm in 6.0.1, I just need to download and put this in SdCard, later Install w/o gapps and it will works?
I flashed the ROM and wiped and then flashed gapps, gallery is crashing for me.

Were you trying to install the arm64 gapps? I could only install the arm gapps.
I updated to the last nightly build which seems to have fixed the gallery bug for me, but now the camera can't access the sdcard to save pictures or videos when the card is set as internal.
Running 12222016 as of this morning. Have been using it since it first hit the streets. Seems a little unstable. While it's running, it runs great. However, for no apparent reason it reboots my device. I can't seem to pinpoint the cause as it happens sporadically and randomly.
I noted that the blue light filter "sort of" works. It has to be manually activated. Tried the automatic route but it's hit or miss.

That would be because the "other ones" are for MM based ROM's and 2.0/2.2 are for Nougat.

Im a dumb, I was installing other gapps, now Im not getting any issue, only about video recording but I'll fix it flashing a boot.img.
Thanks to all.
I always install ROM boot it then go to browser and search Gapps it automatically finds the one I need then just download and reboot to recovery and install so I don't have any issues the Roms are all comparable for bothering devices but I think arm is different between devices if that helps anybody

Hi,
I bought a Moto G4 for Christmas. I'll receive it tomorrow, and so I'm looking for a good custom rom. I had the Moto G 2014 LTE (thea) running CM14.1. I notice that the last CM build available for athene is the 20161225, and I'd like to know if it's stable. Does it have an option to make volume buttons control media volume instead of ringtone, for instance ?
Thank you, 'n have a nice day !
Yo is cm 14.1 gonna get xposed
I installed the CM 14.1 12/25 nightly on a XT1625 motoG4 non-plus. Upon reboot, the OS asked me to input my password. It was unable to decrypt my data.
I had a pattern PIN, so I looked up the proper numeric sequence and entered it, and the OS told me "my password was correct but the data was corrupt" and suggested I wipe my phone.
I tried this several times with different passwords, and even with completely incorrect passwords it said it was correct but the data corrupt. So I had to wipe my data. After wiping data, nougat 7.1 came up fine.
Note I have a SDcard set as adaptable storage. My guess (and it is only a guess) is this is what screwed me over.
Has anyone been using this for a while? I know it's nightly, but just curious if it's mostly usable. Would like to get off MM and tired of waiting for Official Nougat

You can use the latest official version of CyanogenMod. So far I had neither bugs nor crashes. The last version is cm-14.1-20161225-NIGHTLY-athene.zip
Otherwise, you can also use the official soak test from Motorola. This is also based on Anroid 7.0

Thanks! I found the latest Nightly and also an updated LineageOS (replacement for Cyanogen since they've stopped) version, might try them both out. I was perusing the Soak Test and saw it doesn't work with XT1625 devices unfortunately. I have the XT1625 non-Amazon version with Republic Wireless. Saw someone posted earlier in this thread that Republic Wireless was working fine on CM 14.1 Nightly, so that gave me some incentive as well.
