Hello,
I'm looking for a Boot/Down Ani that was in an older ROM and of course I can't think of the name of it. It may have been the early One X port..? I think it would be a fantastic so see it standalone here as well.
It was not too complex. It actually looked exactly like the HTC One boot ani but the "one" flipped in the animation to read EVO. I have @youdug's boot ani right now and the only thing I don't like is how the "one" is pre-flipped and looks like "euo" versus how the other looked more like "o1ne", if anyone knows what I mean.
Also, I need a little help finding a black power on splash instead of the stock white w the red disclaimer. The one that @youdug posted is not working for me.
Any assistance would be heavily appreciated,
Mike
Check older threads here for one by E T Heil, he has a ton of splash screens. Also, the boot ani you want is the one from the first sense 5 port. If you go to that thread (in general there is a thread that points to it, will have to go a little ways back), download the ROM, you can pull the SPC_bootanimation.zip from the system/customize/resource folder and place it in there on your current ROM. Good luck.

Maybe I spoke too soon. Haven't paid attention to any sense 5 stuff since , well, a really long time. Anyhow, I just tried to do some digging for you, and the old threads for it don't seem yo have links anymore. I'll see what I can come up with if someone doesn't beat me to it.

Sprint HTC One boot animation~
Oddly enough, I'm looking for the boot animation for the Sprint HTC ONE resized for the LTE. Would anyone have that or be willing to grab the original and resize it for the LTE?
Thanks in advance!
See if these will work for you

Can you have more than one rom boot option?
As far as I know, not in the way you're probably thinking. There is an app called Boot Manager that allows you to install ROMs in different 'slots' on your SD card. You use the app to choose which one to boot into.
I don't know if it supports this phone as of now though, but you might want to look into it.

HTC One X/S/EVO support?
Sorry to necrobump this thread. I was wondering if there's been any update about this from the dev.
I tried searching on their forums and found every thread about the topic had been deleted (about two pages worth of search results). Then I tried posting a thread asking about it and it was automatically deleted. I have to say, if they're actually ignoring and keyword deleting threads about it, especially from people who paid for the pro version (back in my EVO OG days when I could use it), I'm pretty disgusted with the company.
any update on this??? i really need dual boot :fingers-crossed:
Hi Guys,
i have a serious problem. i bought a second hand korean version of HTC evo 4g, known as HTC rider. i have searched the forums and they mention that its same as evo 3d. The problem is that my phone is stuck on the boot logo and i want to install a custom rom in it. i have also noticed that hboot has been installed in it so i presume that i can install the custom rom. which rom can i use for it?
please help.
The evo 4g is the original evo, not the 3d. So my guess is that you need a 4g evo Rom.
Posted with Tapatalk 2
unfortunately, i have tried a 4g rom also, but it didnt work. the installer showed an error message for asstertion and then aborted the installation :|
Since its a different phone with a different footprint, you might need to adjust the build.prop in the rom before you flash, that way the footprint in the phone matches the footprint in the rom. That's the first thing that clicked in my head, I'll try and do some extra research for you if I can, that way you know what to change what to

Can you help us (evo 4g+ users) to find a working custom rom and kernel.

Sup guys, I haven't been in the Android world since I let go of the HTC One X. That being said, I'm back with the HTC One Google Edition.
I see that there's not much information regarding the phone, so if I can do anything to contribute I'll be more than happy to do so. Please be patient with me as its been a long time.
Best regards.

The phone itself is exactly the same. Just the OS is different from what i know. So many posts about loss of quality on camera... is it that noticeable compare to maybe other devices you have owned?

You know, I can't really say I've noticed a significant difference but then again I haven't flashed the HTC One stock ROM to compare and constrast. I've been taking pictures with the phone and they look just fine to me.

Is there any way to root this GE phone? I miss my extra features from rooting the most.

Its rootable and as modifiable as the regular version. You can flash any rom you want, even a Sense based custom rom if you feel like it.

Hey guys, I got an HTC One GE also. Since there is no separate forum for the GE, does anyone know if it is possible to gain S-OFF? I'm not planning on flashing ROMs because stock android is awesome. I really only need it so that I can remove the "tampered" flag in the bootloader in case I need to return the phone for warranty purposes.
Thanks!

Me too, the quality of pictures is unchanged.
So, it turns out we're out of luck. After a ton of research, the only exploit that works to S-OFF works with hboot 1.44, but the GE ships with Android 4.2.2 which has hboot 1.54, which patched the exploit.
We have to wait it out for S-OFF.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've never seen the Tampered flag returned to normal. I've seen counter resets for plenty of devices, but in the few phones I've rooted and modded for friends, I haven't seen a boot loader reset tool that could fix it. Am I living in the past?

I'm not sure if it is a true reset, but with the revone exploit and the - t flag, you can remove the tampered flag from the bootloader! There is a forum dedicated to S-OFF which I can link to here later (on a phone).

You don't get around much do you?
We've had a system dump for a couple of weeks now.
I have the GE as well. It would be nice if we had a separate forum. I have a few things I would like to see if others are seeing as well:
Home and back button light work "inconsistently"
Wifi seems to be inconsistent too (I may have solved this with turning off the "wifi optimization" in the advanced settings
IR definitely does not work. I tried the MacRemote app, which works on the standard HTC One.
Loving the phone so far. It is so nice to finally have AT&T LTE on a stock android(ish) device. For those that will scream that this is not "stock android" I shall call it SKINLESS android.

Not sure about the WiFi or the light inconsistencies, but I know that HTC didn't include the API for the infrared remote because the GE is supposed to be as 'stock' as possible.

Yeah, once you have S-Off, you can change the flags, remove them, add ones, etc etc. You can even change and reset it back to 100% completely stock and locked / S-on if desired. I used it on my DNA (same s-off method) then returned it to factory locked before I sold it.

I have S-Off with my one, on Hboot 1.54, but thats because I was originally on 1.44 =)
I was about to post this plea for help and then I decided to try a factory reset and before I could finish signing into google I had an LTE signal.
If you're having connection issues try a factory reset. Mine was cycling between 3 bands along with having no signal at all and never managed a 4G LTE signal, I even went and got another sim card. Incredibly relieved at the moment, the phone is great, no junk, just Android.

This thread will expand but for now this is a call out to any and all that want custom boot anis. Hopefully the devs will figure out how to make .zip anis work like they did previously (I would but I don't have a G3 yet). I have been designing and making custom boot animations for years now and was even honored to develop the OMIrom boot animation. This is a callout to devs also, I would be honored to make the boot animation for the roms you are well off by now developing. I'f youd like to see some of my custom work it will be up shortly.

I didn't have the sprint boot but that also meant I didn't get the wifi calling app either. So when I reset the phone using the msl code to get wifi calling I got the sprint boot. You can just add new boot and shutdown ani to System/media and delete the sprint ones and your golden. Pretty easy.

Yeah, I needed the WIFI calling. My home is a vortex for Sprint signals, all around me is full strength and once I'm home there's nothing. Sprint has no idea why . Had to have an Air Rave which they supplied at no charge, but the wifi calling actually works better.
The CdmaDevTermV.2 method got my MSL without having to call sprint. The method is in here somewhere and was pretty simple. :good:
I only skimmed through the rom-build guide here at XDA University. I don't want to spend days doing it and find
out I've wasted my time.
Is there any reason this wouldn't build and/or boot?
Is it actually impossible? I'd like to get more than one response on this. I know some devs' impossibilities are others'
know-how.
