My battery percentage is showing me 2% or less all the time even if I am charging my mobile for the whole day... I faced this problem after changing charging through USB connection to 900 mAH via Boeffla Config. V2 and I was running Boeffla Kernel V5 as it was working fine with me on Yank555's kernel... I a lot of thing but nothing worked with me, I used reset.zip for Boeffla Config. V2 app... I calibrated battery more than once... I flashed another kernels after wiping cache and dalvik cache... I installed new ROMs after full wipe and full format but the problem still exist... Now I am working with NeatROM Lite and Chinese repacked kernel and the problem is still with me ... Any fast help plzzz, It is very urgent to me.
I did full wipe and format and downgraded to Omega 4.2 and back to 4.3 but the problem still the same.. I kept the phone in the charger from the night till the morning and it reached 60% I think ... It is not about the cable or the battery as I tried both of them on another device and they worked well... Any ideas !?
Same issue as many previous posts, rules say search and read before creating a new thread.
Replace your charger, lead and battery. Flash to full stock rom and factory reset. If still the same then you need a new motherboard

Man, It is not about battery drain... It is about not charging.. When I plug the charger and w8, I see the percentage of the battery is going down not up.. I tried full wipe and format and calibrating battery "But I can't do it on 100% as I can't recharge it" and nothing worked with me.
My dad died the day before yesterday and I am not in the mood for the phone at all but it is important for everyone as u all know guys "RIP Dad"

hey,
I've a problem: When the battery of my X10 is under 20%, the phone shuts down automatically. When I start the phone again, it works till the next shut down. (this can take 5 minutes or 2 hours. Its different)
When I use the phone without turning it in standby, I can use it till the battery complete empty.
Is anything defect, or is it normal?
rom: WB V6 on stock kernel, but with stock rom, it was the same.
sorry for my language, I'm from germany
greeting, Tobi
Have u used battery monitor widget to get that it always shutting down at 20% , mine does it at 40% . Mines fine if im using it but if its in standby . . . Shutdown ... I then switch it on and says I got 20-35 battery and phone charges very fast back up to 100 . I think my battery is buggered which is what I think is wrong with yours. I could recommending a temp fix of freezing it battery overnight then charging for like 8 hours . Sometimes helps ..

Hi mate
I don't know what you mean by accu(I understand you meant battery level?) It sounds like one of the old kernels they were making, are you sure you are on stock kernel?
You could try flashing another rom on a ftf file with flashtool.. but try to charge phone when its off.let me know.

yes I mean battery level. I've only flashed wb roms. Bevore, I only used stock se rom, so I must have the stock kernel. In settings is written: 2.6.29-00054-g5f01537 SEMCU .........
Do you mean only charge when phone is off could be the solution? I will try it...

yes I used a widget, so I saw the battery level. 20% was an example, I remember I had the problem between 20% and 30%, too! But the most time its when battery is under 20%
What do you mean with temp fix of freezing it?
I think I had the problem since I've the phone. So you think my battery is defect?
So you also had this Problem with the SE rom? If not, try to wipe the battery stats with xrecovery before flashing a new rom
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
I definitely heard this issue on old roms so make sure you flash the latest patches updates for that rom and follow well the installation procedure(factory reset, wiping cache, dalvik, bat stats)
If after charging the phone (offline) it does not charge, try to flash a ftf firmware with flashtool.
I have this too on all Roms but it starts at 35 and keeps doing it until 0, bad calibrated battery i think. Had this on 2.1 once and it was gone without me doing anything, weird Battery.

can we use a working/optimized batterystats.bin to fix this problem?
as the topic says.
Yes I had the problem with stock SE rom too.
I already tried battery stats with xrec, but same problem.
I've also the newest updates for my rom ( wolf v6). Do you think I should try it with another kernel? Now I have stock.
Or I flash my rom & kernel again..
and can someone say me how to calibrate my battery correctly?
thanks
Same thing here with stock kernel...now i'm th kernel and team rom and it's ok

I still have the problem..

problem solved!
I first tried to flash doomkernel + wolf6... still had the problem.
Then I flashed TH Kernel + Rom and let my phone go off, because of empty battery.
Since I did this, I dont have the problem!
thanks for help!
btw: The problem was not solved with the new rom..
1 week ago, I bought a new battery and now my phone doesn't shut down all the time
-> my battery is defect
I am currently in discussion with 3 UK and they have informed me that the fault is because of a faulty glue joint, which they claim is my fault for dropping the handset. I am wondered how many people are actually having this issue, and what network you are on?
Hi. There are a lot of battery threads - a lot!, but after using search I found nothing relating to this problem.
My phone was fine up until a week ago or so. I'm on stock 2.3.5 after upgrading from VillainRom (which was great, but I just wanted stock back).
I've been back on stock since 2.3.5 released and everything was great. I froze/stopped the bloatware ect..
But the last week or so my battery drains 45-50% a night. I have wifi off and also the data network is off. I don't know what could be doing this.
Could someone help trouble shoot this please? As I said, it was perfect before, I don't think I've changed anything, wifi and data are off overnight, all apps closed.
Thanks very much.
EDIT - So I bought two new batteries and I still have the same problem. I've even went back to VillainRom 3.0
Now here's the kicker, after putting my phone on charge in the morning, after two minutes it's up to 46%. So whatever is happening it's not the battery draining, it's a software bug or a hardware bug or something.
Has anyone heard of this? And what's the best way to go about this?
Also, why would this only happen overnight and not during the day?
EDIT 2
I have attached 3 screenshots of my battery stats.

Better Battery Stats should be of help.
You'll be interested in Partial Wakelocks, and possibly Kernel Wakelocks. If you're unsure of anything post in that thread and someone should be able to point you to a solution.

Thanks. I've been trying that since you suggested it. It hasn't helped. I'm thinking it's a software problem, so I'm going to start fresh.
Thanks for the suggestion though.
Maybe you can try to do a factory reset and start again from the beginning (gmail account, install apps, etc...)

Try recalibrating your battery. Drain it completely to 0 and charge fully. Then wipe the battery. Status.

DON'T DO THIS.
There batteries are not meant to drain to 0%. It could damage your batterie.
If you already wiped your batterie stats with this batterie, just use your phone and charge it when it's almost empty. Repeat this a few times. It is possible that your batterie needs to settle in and that your problem is solved in a few days.
If not, try flashing an other rom. Make sure you wipe everything (except batterie stats, because you already had).
Yep do not drain it completely.
I would recommed to calbirate your battery. It seems that your battery stats are somehow off.
Use this guide here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1312273
If it does not helpt do it againg and go through a few charge cycles.
If the problem still persits I would consider a factory reset.
download battery calibration from market and follow instruction.
Thanks for the replys, but none of this has helped. What else could it be?
Imho the Battery will never drains to zero, the phone will turn off before, so let your phone on until it turns off by low voltage, if you afraid ruin your battery, use the eldest, you already got 2 spare batts
I had a similare issue some weeks ago and my phone went dead 3 !! hours after the indicator reaches zero.
Maybe it helps.. (No guarentee)
Just to be sure, have you tried a different charger? perhaps yours is messed up?
BTW, i flashed 4 different ROMS in the last 2 month, and i never wiped my batterystatts .. no issue with that (for me)
Try a different kernel, based on my experience, the rom is almost nonrelevant to battery usage, the kernel makes the major difference, give Phenomenal Extreme a try, this kernel boosts your Battery for real! -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1351191
Turn of location service and facebook
Good Luck! Feedback appreciated..
if you wipe to factory resets, add your google account, but don't add anything else, does the same thing occur?
If so, I would say it's a hardware issue, otherwise it's probably software.
I saw someone suggest using better battery stats, and you said that it didn't help, what do you mean it didn't help? It doesn't fix anything, it just lets you identify WHAT is using the battery.
My Galaxy S used to drain to 50% overnight, turns out it was the instant messaging (using MSN) that was doing it.
Like I said, try it after a clean factory reset with just our gmail account, no MSN, no Hotmail, no Yahoo, etc and no Additional Apps
or you can try speedmod's kernel ... test 13 i think is the latest ..
works a wonder to me in terms of battery performance
I can try another Kernal, but I have switched recently.
Because of this issue, the last time I switched roms and kernals I did a clean start, and I didn't restore anything, I literally started from fresh.
I'm using VillainRom 3.0
Kernal: Siyah 2.1.1
Modem: KI3
I will have another look at battery stats aswell.
I have added some screen caps of my batterys stats to The op, I'd appreciate it if you'd have a look.
Thanks again.
I won't bump this again if there are no replys, but just incase it was missed.
Sorry.
Hello guys,
I'm a little bit desperate with my battery. One month ago I updated from ICS to JB in my s2 i9100 and the horrible loop started:
- Between 100-70% of charge everything is going more or less ok
- Suddenly, phone turns off. After restarting, the battery is around 40% and very unstable
- Now it's even worse, without charger, the phone remains up only 15-20 minutes.
I tried EVERYTHING:
- All the roms for JB (all versions of RR, Paranoid Android) with all the combination of Kernels (CM10, Siyah and Dorimanx)
- Go back to ICS (of course, for every ROM I give to the phone 2-3 days to stabilise it)
- Battery calibration tools of the play store (even I paid 3$ for one of them)
- Battery calibration without being ROOT (the trick of this thread did not work. I tried 3 times)
- Reset fuel gauge chip from the ex-Tweaks
...
Any other idea/clue?
I'm about to give up, I think I'm going to get a new battery. I prefer to pay 15-20$ than spending hours trying to figure it out.
The last question. I'm assuming that a brand new battery will fix this problem. Am I right? I'm afraid of buying a new battery and facing the same issue.
If I get a new one I am supposed to do some operation on the phone before to install it?
Currently I'm using RR 3.1.1 with dorimanx kernel.
Thank you very much in advance!*
You guys do an AWESOME job with this forum.

My battery SUCKS now. If I'm using the telephone in a normal way (surfing, music, videos)... it goes down every 30 minutes.
I'm going to try to remove for a while right now. You mean, minutes, hours, days?
Yes, I tried to wipe battery stats from recovery with no results.
Thank YOU very much for your interest
just remove it 2-3 min but i don't think it will be better. Can you tell me how is it after. Thanks.

Hello, guys. My problem is this that when i go to bed my phone has 20-30% battery and i put it on charge and when i wake up it is on 40-50% and it doesn't want to move.It has been on charge around 7-8 hours. Then i have to plug it out and play a little bit to waste some of the battery and then to plug it back to charge to 100%.Do i have to change the firmware or what ?Thanks in advance.
Stock rom and kernel? If yes then try another charger and lead first.

Continues then wipe battery stats .
Drain battery to zero charge fully drain again and charge fully then use as normal .
That is purely to rule out any wrong reporting and start the battery recalibrating .

This will do nothing. This is the biggest misconception in regards to Android Battery that XDA has ever seen.
Example of battery stats:
Screen on = 2h 40m
WiFi on = 5h 33m
Why does anyone think wiping these back to 0 will help anything? Charging the phone to 100% wipes the battery stats anyway.

HERE WE GO AGAIN PURE IGNORANCE .
IT wipes the battery stats how many times does it have to be repeated BATTERY STATS WIPE
IF you actually read the post you would see it was an attempt to return all to zero nothing to do with battery stats calibrating phone .You can read Diane Hackborns post in that regard just as i did the day it was posted . So dont come that battery stats crap with me .
Just giving the OP a zero state to work from does not matter if its duplicated or not zero start from the beginning rules out one possible fault area as unlikely as it may be .

Wow. At first I thought you were just rude and unhelpful but you're actually unknowledgable too.
What % the overall battery level reads at has nothing to do with "battery stats". Whether any individual system is at 0 or not is completely irrelevant to overall %. The OP does not need a "zero state". Stats and calibration are not linked at all. It rules out NOTHING (except perhaps any level of knowledge you were hoping to trick the OP into thinking you had) Try reading Diane's post properly before flaming!

Well its got me beat with this battery thing too..
It either barely charges at 100-400 mA or the phone is using more power than that and so it effectively discharges slightly even though connected to wall charger.
You can cross these things off the list as things I have tried so far:
>tried other chargers and leads
>took battery out for a while and put back and restarted
>wiped battery stats several times
>did a backup and wiped system/factory reset
>inspected and cleaned mini usb socket on phone
>tried all the battery calibration and charging apps
>tried charging to 100% even with phone switched off but it never got there even after 24hrs
>with and without siyah kernel
>done lots of yelling and hair pulling / tantrums
By the behaviours I dont suspect a dead battery. It seams like the phone is only asking for a low charge rate from the charger for whatever reason.
Please offer any suggestions you think will help narrow this down. I use cm nightlies.
When did it last work? Do you have a nandroid you can restore too?
It could be hardware. I stability generated by a faulty USB port.
I would be tempted to return it to stock. Problem still exists, send for repair. If not, it was software
