I think that there's a thread on rolling screen in general. It starts on task 14 but then talks about how to fix the cwm rolling screen as well.
Sent from my GT-P7510 using xda app-developers app
I had this, too... let the device start, and on login screen short press the power button so the screen goes dark. then wake it up and the rolling should be gone so you can login... there are some other thread about how to get rid of the rolling screen, esp. in CWM. You need to flash another bootloader.

For Guyz like me with recovery problems for S7 Slim 201u version....
1. Revert back to stock "UPDATA.APP" Official huawei official 2.2 rom.
2. Then root
3. Fastboot install recovery.img (latest) by batabe
4. Reboot and install ROM Manager "ClockworkMod" from play store
5. In Rom manager flash clockworkmod recovery! when asked which version? choose3+
6. Still in Rom manager...choose reboot into recovery
DONE!
If you want smooth launcher and overall experience..do this
-download apex luncher..much faster then stock
-In build.prop system file under graphics add this line
debug.composition.type=gpu
-in settings ..developer options chech "force gpu rendering"
-then in same setting set background process limit to 3 or 4 (this option when restarted device is back to standard so you will have to check it everytime you restart device)
If you use tablet mode and you want real full screen in some apps or games use app call Gmd gesture

Kernel lupus dual recovery for wt19i

Dear friends
Here I have got a lupus ics kernel having dual recovery CWM & TWRP
As after flashing this kernel on my stock ics Rom its working great without any freezing of system its really cool one the link for the kernel is https://www.box.com/s/x5m775edeifvpc23i5e9
After flashing your kernel, when you boot your phone you will see a purple light during that time when you press volume down button you will enter in touch interface of TWRP
which is controlled by touch
And when you press power button. after purple led you will enter in regular CWM 6.0 where it is controlled by vol up , vol down button and home key
You have to flash WiFi modules to run WiFi that I will tell you in next post
Sent from my WT19i using xda app-developers app
U should put your tinfoil hat by now. Be prepared for massive trolling coming in
Anyway I can't report, browsing via tapatalk.

You have already asked this question in the sudden death thread and got an in depth answer.
Here, I've copied and pasted it again for you

Reply:
CWM is a recovery. PhilZ is a recovery that's based on CWM. So it's capable of pretty much everything CWM is, and more. Hence your backups should be restored without any trouble, as long as the CWM version PhilZ is based on can do it. You have one /recovery partition. You either install CWM or PhilZ or TWRP or whatevertheeff else (this is in response to "Do I still need CWM?").
PS: Please clean up your posts, you're almost polluting the thread!
Why are you asking it again? And not only that but making a new thread for it!
Surely the best place to ask is actually in the PhilZ recovery thread.........once.

Which recovery you use?

Which recovery you use, and why?
In future..
Which number u call/text more?? and why
just kidding..
Usually the recovery one which comes with ROM..
because to install next new ROM
Hospital recovery
Math recovery
"Stay in bed" recovery
This will be a whats the best recovery thread in a day cuz if people say that they use twrp cwm people will think that most used recovery is better
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I used cwm,cwm touch,philz touch, twrp touch.
Now on twrp.
I just want to try all of them.
For me I think twrp is best.

The one that comes wid the kernel
I use the one that is with the kernel, but I have also tried the TWRP and I like it very much!
CWM 6.0.4.5 work fine for me.
CWM best
