So there doesn't seem to be a thread for this specifically for the Optimus line. It's just like it would be for any other device. The best way, I feel, to start is to describe widgets/themes used. If you like what someone has as their setup, compliment them. It's pretty simple. And I would like to remind people to please be appropriate. All that having been said, here is my setup.
I am running Cyanogenmod 7 on an Optimus T, but I'm using the Optimus One's Rom because the one specifically for the T has a camera issue and still doesn't have wifi calling working which would be the one reason I would swap.
I'm using Minimal Magic theme by UpwardSpiral for the T-Mobile Theme Chooser which is part of CM7. I am using ADW Launcher EX and a medley of ADW themes with ADW.faded being the main one used.
This is my Green Lantern Theme. A bit nerdy, sure, but is anyone else as hyped for the upcoming movie?
Left screen is mostly for convenience. I have the power control widget with an assimilation of apps that I use most often.
Middle is the main screen. I'm using picture frame, Minimalistic Text, and Clockr.
Right screen is used mainly for widgets/media. I have my DoubleTwist widget, my countdown timer, (counting down to the premiere of Green Lantern, of course )
date provided once again by Minimalistic Text, and my Pandora Radio widget.
UPDATE!
Ha update on my homescreen. Got tired of the average feel of it. Made it seem too generic android, so here I present to you, the new and improved Green Lantern theme for Optimus.
UPDATE!!
This is the complete theme! I'm much more proud of this than I was before. This is the result of several hours lol. I think it's worth it just for the bragging rights of having something vastly different than everyone else.
Left Screen still for convenience. Minimalistic Text. Middle/Main screen is much more avant garde and I'm thoroughly pleased with it. It uses Desktop VisualizeR that leads to a SiMi Folder with all my apps with a circled png Green Lantern emblem. Right screen is for media/games.
Final Update for my Green Lantern Theme
I know I said the last one was finished, but now I'm done. At least until I figure out how to theme the market. Thanks go to the creators of Minimalistic Text, Dont Panic for his morph dialer, the UOT Kitchen for helping me with the hard stuff, Me for my hours of work on theming/perfecting this lol, and of course, the Green Lantern Corps. haha. But in all seriousness, thanks to the aforementioned. Without them, I would be staring at a dismal looking phone still!
Details: my Green Lantern emblem is a .png for Desktop Visualizer which I have connected to SiMi Folder with all my apps. If you click "in brightest day," you get sent to the market. If you click "in blackest night," my handcent opens up.
My Handcent theme:
Haha last Green Lantern theme
Here is the last update. I can finally focus on making another theme after friday because that's the release date!

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I checked the whole Optimus sub-forum. Just a broad search, but it yielded no results. I'll check it out.
This is my new theme. I'm calling it Gory Graffiti.
For whatever reason, the red doesn't look uniform on the screen shots, but it is. It's the color #A10000 which is much more vibrant than the one shown. What do you guys think?
Found a nice theme in preware called: "Glass Effect Suite - for Touchpad" Look it up and check it out!
Post other themes found to work on the Touchpad and post them here, I plan to update op often with links.
Mods, suggest to make sticky for easy findings.

i searched and couldnt find it
I can't find this theme either.
It`s called "Glass Effect Suite - Touchpad" and you can find it in WebOS Quick install under "Themes" tab.
I can`t see any differences to standard theme except a ****ty wallpaper with text "muahaha".
Bad joke ?
yeah, I don't see the difference except that it makes the apps window translucent.

It's a simple theme that changes some menu backgrounds, launcher background, and a couple other little tweaks. It's not meant to be a full-fledged theme... Just replaces some rather boring UI elements.

I think you meant "Glass Effect Suite - Touchpad". As far as I'm aware, my theme is the only one available for the Touchpad at this moment. I'm hoping other people start putting out some of their own work soon...

I dont have a Touchpad yet so i still cant experiment on it. Do you mind sharing some info on how to make a theme for it?
switcheroo lite
switcharoo light on HP market has been my favorite so far. The background changes every 10 15 or 30 minutes not sure on the timing, but every time I turn on my baby, a new background is there and I get that ooooohhh effect, I like that one... Nice change to live or constant background that usually is used. My 2 cents worth. Oh love preware program. Used it to make changes to improve speed etc on touchpad like the internet articles are saying.
lovin my touchpad......

You are right!! Sorry... Will fix... You don't mind I called you out do you? I mean, it was for a good reason!!!
We do need more themes... I think everyone's just waiting for android but we could def use some webos themes....
If you can't notice the changes... Ah... #iWon'tFlame... HAHA
Great theme!
No, I don't mind. lol
Glad you're liking the theme. It doesn't change a lot, but it's not supposed to. Glass Effect Suite exists to simply improve the UI of*webOS. Everyone is*free to use the images in their own theme as well.

Kudos to you for your work!
I loaded it up as soon as I got Preware rocking. I like it a lot, but not all wallpapers look good behind it, when you are in the app drawers. I do wish it had adjustable opacity with a specific base tint maybe.
So I'm installing the themes through WebOSQuickInstall-4.3.0.jar but they never actually change the look of the device. Is there some other way that I should be installing them or activating? (I'm feeling quite stupid here...)
My understanding is there should be a themer link in the Tools dropdown, but see attached for what I'm currently getting. I have v.4.3.0, is this the correct one for the Touchpad?

Push the globe when your TP is connected, then go to "Themes" tab. Searching Touchpad only has the two themes mentioned here though. After you choose to install, make sure to reboot Luna, either via device or Linux commandline option "reboot luna".

I wish that was possible too... In those areas, the only way to change the appearance is to swap images. I'm not able to edit the code that controls it.

Those of us who like to have a clean and professional looking theme, knows that He's the man. Not taking anything away from all the other awesome Themers on board.
Here's a link to his work http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2070424

Elex_kr for hands down one of the best contributions to the theming world with his BetterDraw9 patch.
Please hit this man up http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2149192 for his awesome program he has made for us. It's amazing how much time you save with patching .9. images
Thanks to motomoto00 for letting me use his Motomoto00 Theme http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1818961 as a base. Good looking Bro. I really appreciate it.
I want to thank Lantek23 for helping me with the Status bar fix.
I tried my best to theme as much as possible and will continue to make it as complete as possible. If by chance anyone sees any images that may be theirs, please hit me and I will give credit.
But most of what I've themed I made from scratch.
Thanks to: beanstown106 for this awesome Rom. I've been running this since I've got my Note2. Hope you get the S4

The Clock you see is one I made for myself for BeautifulWidgets. Apk
I'm sharing my external folder that has the my clock in it.
You Must put this inside your BeautifulWidgets folder.
To install it,
1. Must have BeautifulWidgets. Apk of course
2. After installing it, first set up a regular clock widget that's standard.
3.Then go to menu, BeautifulWidgets. Apk,
once inside settings and scroll all the way down to Graphic designer mode and turn it on. Go to widget configuration, 4x2 Clock #1, set it up like you want.
4.Now come out and choose your file Manger of choice. Go to SD Card =Android= Data= com.levelup.BeautifulWidgets and add it to the folder that you see with the long serial #.
5. Menu = BeautifulWidgets= My themes= click the settings and drop down will appear. Choose external themes and you will see Bluack show up. Hit that and your good.
Here's the link

THIS IS ONLY FOR beanstown10 rom. Haven't tried it on any other rom, as I used His Rom as my daily run.
Installation
For fresh install right after installing beanstown10 rom.
I recommend doing a fresh install of beanstown10 Rom so that you want have any errors coming off of someone else's theme.
1 First Make sure you have all your apps from the Market.
2 Go to Menu-Settings-Application Manager- find Google Play store and clear Data.
You don't have to do this, but I've found that after booting up, I have no problems with Play store restoring my apps.
1 Backup Rom
2 Reboot in to Recovery
3 Wipe cache partition
4 Select Install zip from SD card
5 Select theme, and press install
6 Reboot
And enjoy...
If you like my theme, Please hit the thank you button.

Hey guys! My question is about the themes on the MyColorScreen website. I've noticed that not all of them can be used on the Themer app. The one I want to use in particular is called Pink Chrome. I tried putting it in the export folder and it didn't work when I applied it with the Themer app.
Would it be possible for someone to show me how to convert this theme so it will work with Themer?
And if the Themer team is reading, please make it possible to make the themes on MyColorScreen.com work with Themer? I realize that there's 50,000 themes on the site, but those are great themes and it's frustrating when those themes don't work with the app. Thanks.

same here and there are some much better themes on MCS's website.
I'm pretty sure that MCS's website is where folks would upload home screens they made on their own to show off what they'd created. If you click on an image, you often get an explanation as to what apps were used to create these homescreens. The Themer app was just created by MCS and what you see at the main MCS site aren't themes for the app. I wouldn't doubt if some of these screens are used for inspiration for developing themes in the future though.
I'm not 100% on this, but this is what I gathered.

not trying to come off as a jerk but give it some time. the app just came out. and its beta at that.. they cant be expected to get all 50,00 themes to be compatible for the app this early. it doesnt quite work like that (dragging random files from said theme into a folder for themer. the theme creator has to make sure to use the apps that Themer the app is compatible with and then export it). im confident that in time, a lot of themes will be added, and possibly Pink Chrome will be too. a lot of users also give instructions under their MyColorscreen theme to set up manually which is an option if it has not been added to the Themer app yet. maybe the same goes for Pink Chrome. things will start to fall into place as soon as more themers get on board with the app. its understandable that people are frustrated with this beta app but its not a magic tool. there are behind the scenes processes, and configuring that needs to be done so you, the end user can just click once and enjoy any theme they have listed on your specific model device (there are many to test and make it compatible with). like the widgets that are used for one. a lot of the themes on the MCS website use many different widget apps that Themer just simply dont support yet. the app is free and their team is small. Patience is key
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=46261711&postcount=1
Well the themes on the website have been made by the users, I don't think Themer can just pick them up and covert them for Themer without the permission of the people who've created them
Yes as has been said above it's going to take time. Right now we have a very small team and taking a theme from MCS, working with a designer to rebuild it in Themer using our tools, then implementing the theme to work on many screen resolutions takes a lot of time. We are trying to grow and hire more people so this doesn't take as long.
Also another issue is that many themes on MCS cannot be reproduced in Themer because certain third party widgets were used that aren't available with Themer. However, we announced today that Zooper widget will soon be in Themer, so the number of themes that we can recreate from MCS will skyrocket.

im sure they are very open to suggestions.
its just that they have had a bad rap so far for no reason, and if you look at their reviews in the play store, a lot are bad only because the code fiasco. and when their servers couldnt keep up with the high amount of user wanting to try it out. thats why they wanted to stagger out the codes.. so they can build upon what they have now. im sorry if i came off defending these guys a little harshly. i create screens for MCS so i understand the work that is put into it. and i know their team is small as of right now. but rest assured, this app will only get bigger and better in time. now with Zooper support, its a giant leap ahead now. again patience is key and please enjoy themer. its really a five star app and effort

Well, this sure is an awesome app so far! And seeing all those screens on the site floored me!
I know about the ratings in the Play Store. It's really not fair because people don't understand what beta means, and why the codes were necessary, so they gave an unfair vote. I remember when Gmail was beta. It was the same way, with codes. And that's a Google product!
But yeah, I don't blame you for being defensive. It can be hard, anyway, to decipher what people mean when you read a post on the internet. It's not like you can hear their voice, or see their body language. It's all good! And I love Themer! It's great! And the existing themes are more flexible than people realize.

I know Im deviating a little bit from the topic here but I find that is related.... and didnt want to create a new thread just for that.
The concern I've been strugling the most lately is that majority of themes I would like to try out are not in THEMERAPP already and Im willing to give them time since I know is hard and long process for a BETA stage and I dont wanna be demanding, but how can I know or tell what new themes are availale in THEMER without reachning my phone or going into that app itself, I would like to know that because I'd like to analyze a theme in my PC before I try it in the actual phone.
Thanks in advance.
it would be nice that themer could change the framework such as dialer messaging app etc...
maybe in the future ....just a thought.

To do this you would have to download the original file then strip completely.
Then using the original wallpapers re build the theme in themer.
by setting the wallpaper in themer options. Then adding the widgets required when this is all done export the theme and it will be saved.
I've done this myself with the themer theme HUD so I could mod to my liking and make a matching lock screen.
Hope this helped

This is my second theme(themer started acting up for me - a logcat and update later and we are running smooth again!) and first in honor of my hometown. It is a very basic theme but I think it turned out pretty well. Only Themer widgets were used. To install simply copy the zip to /mycolorscreen/themer/exported. Then go to the theme browser, click exported and choose this theme.
