Download android sdk, set it up(this can be found easily on youtube) then navigate to where fastboot.exe is stored, shift right click(windows 7 and up) and click open command window here and type
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Where boot.img is in fastboot.exe's folder
Alternatively you can flash with flashtool(easier)

Here is the instructions:
1. Download Official ICS Beta for NEO V here
2. Flash all the .img files except boot.img from fastboot mode.
3. Download MT15i ICS kernel with built-in CWM Recovery here , flash it and boot to recovery. Thanks to NightElf for the modified kernel.
4. Flash camera-fix (Neo libs now with flash working) http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=921337&d=1330298767, Thanks to zackie012 for the fix
5. Flash this package from recovery to root your awesome ICS Beta.
6. If you want to enable face unlock flash ICS gapps from here , boot your device, go to settings - security - screen lock, change it to face unlock, configure and looks how amazing it works.
7. If you want to enable WIFI and Bluetooth flash this package from doomlord, thanks to Doomlord http://www.mediafire.com/?c00wwa3aew1doc5
8. Build.prop fix and tweaked for neo http://www.mediafire.com/?rvkf69c1c9a4p3d
If you want to try Chrome beta, here is the link http://dl.dropbox.com/u/22987550/com.android.chrome-1.apk , Thanks to marcell96 for uploading
for n00b: If I say flash it means boot to recovery (press volume-down button when SONY logo appear) then flash zip from sd-card.
Known Bugs: Can't mount sd-card from recovery.
Confirmed all working by me.
Additional:
ICS Bootanimation: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=818499&d=1324020244 , thanksto doomlord for uploading
ICS Launcher without search bar (4x5), thanks to djmcnz : http://www.mediafire.com/?ewqq6nn1bxryru7

ICS battery bar: http://www.mediafire.com/?rx52dic5t5pcc2d
ICS style analog clock widget: http://www.mediafire.com/?ny35c5cj0xy6l8q

I've tried all and confirmed working great for me.
Use it with your own risk, I am not responsible if you break your device
As Usual, don't forget to press thanks button if this help

New exclusive feature of Xperia sola - Glove mode:
ICS update lets you use Xperia™ sola with your gloves on
Using floating touch over entire UI
How it works
Glove mode is enabled by default in the ICS upgrade for Xperia™ sola, so when you unlock the phone while wearing a glove (or with a bare finger in the air), you will enter glove mode and Floating touch™ mode will be disabled. In this mode, both glove touch and normal touch usage will work, for example, if you take off the gloves. There is also a cursor ring shown where you press the screen with your glove, to help you understand where you are actually pressing the screen. To turn off glove mode, you simply lock the screen and then unlock it with your bare finger touching the screen and you’re back to normal mode with Floating touch™ enabled. - Sony

Observations/Issues/Bugs:
Wifi Signal seems to be a little weaker, gsm signal is bit better.
Floating touch is available in some games instead of normal touch.
Battery Drain.
Poor Ram management.
microSD is causing reboots and bootloops(for some users).
As usual touch screen freaks when charging.
Settings Crash when you open running apps(for some users).
Lags(for some users)
Wifi bugs.
Camera on Instagram doesn't work.

Fixes:
For faster UI experience: Settings->Developers options-> Set Window Animation scale and Transition Animation scale to x5 or off.
Before rooting have backup using that backup&restore app, some users are reporting problems mounting to PC after rooting,so if you have similar problem, restore the back up.
SD Card Reboot fix:
Use System Tuner or any app and set SD IO Scheduler to "noop " instead of "cfq".

It is a humble request to everyone to please factory reset the phone after updating....It will really be worth it!!!
PLease let me know if I have got this right.
Running on custom ROM +custom kernel now.
To flash this ROM we need to get off both the custom parts.
To do that is to first relock the bootloader and then flash the stock/factory ROM.
Right so far?
And then finally flash the FTF file through Flashtool + factory reset.

Is it normal or is it a bug? Using King's Rom at the moment.
Edit: Seems like it's this recovery bug, as I switched to an older recovery (5.5.0.4) and USB Mass Storage is working fine now.
I can get a good deal on a simlocked Xperia U, but want to use another provider.
Does this recovery remove the simlock?
THX.
Work on the .54 FW?

No. sd-ext is a partition for apps in your sdcard. If you make an ext partition in your sdcard (or internal memory in this phone) you can run apps from this. But we have enough space for apps, so we don't need to use it.
Ok, thanks for the clarification.
On other devices, I have not seen this error so I wanted to ask the author what exactly means, but if this is normal, and so it should be fine.

There can't be any problem with ROM < because thousands of people around world are using SJB>
Problem must be in the kernel.. is there any other kernel we didn't try???
Post Fastboot log (the bunch of text, which is shown in Flashtool or the fastboot window) of the kernel installation.
me too.

Hi everyone,
I have an unlocked Xperia Ray.
I am trying (in the last 2 days) to install Super Jelly Bean 5.5 Rom with no succes (yet)
the steps are:
1. flash stock firmware ST18i_4.1.B.0.587_1252-3693.ftf using Fasttool
2. root the device using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2118343
3. install CWM using SE_Extreme_Tweak_Installer_1.8
4. flash urushi_fusion_5.4.img Fasttool
5. wipe all data and install zip (Super Jelly Bean 5.5 Ray.zip and gapps-jb-20130624-sjb 4.1.2.zip)
no errors on install
after reboot it is starting a bootloop (never boots just shows Sony logo, no bootanimation)

Here is recovery image just for testing purpose. Contain only recovery! To flash them do:
- fastboot flash boot recovery.img
With these command you will install recovery only and your android rom will not boot until you flash boot image for your rom!!!

Since these boot image contain only recovery you no need to press anything because default boot is recovery ! To get back to android boot you need to flash boot image for your rom!

Simple download TeamCanjica repo cm-10.1 and replace bootable/recovery source with mine, than... to compile: command "make cerovery" and you are done
@ein777er first of all please do not spam in thread which is not related to the roms. I have no idea about anything related to the BlueTooth peering problem, and allso sorry but I not going to check them!

Works on Xperia GO
Works on Xperia GO St27i! And I installed a CWM zip file to see if it works or not, it works! I couldn't check everything else.. Dear Munjeni, can you please remove the white background and change it back to your 5.5 recovery background image?
Eagerly awaiting a stable kernel for XGO 6.2.a.1.100 with your new custom recovery!
