Thanks..
Can you give me a recovery.log? You can find it in /tmp from TWRP and you can copy it to your storage from advanced -> copy log to sd

There's something in the script that it should be changed

Hi
no problems with install. Nice and smooth rom. Only the icon titles vanish in landscape. Had to add mobile APN by hand. I will test further on.
Installed it in MultiRom as second rom.
cinq
Thanks for the ROM. However I ran into some problems, I am not sure if it was an issue with my nexus. I downloaded both the beta 1 and the nightly 2, after some time the nexus started to misbehave in the notification area, the touch screen became irresponsive also.

Any chance that Deb might get supported?
Deb is being tested right now, if it works, is it a good practice to create a thread in deb forum or add deb to this thread?

It is my opinion, but I realize others may disagree, that if Deb gets support, I would open a new thread in the LTE Development section as there is just a small handful of devs supporting Deb. I think you would be a welcome site there, plus it would help keep the thread clean from unnecessary questions about what it supports....:good:

I do notice auto brightness seems a bit bright but I'm not sure if that's because I came from OmniRom where I had auto brightness values turned down for night time use.

EDIT: It seems it was a kernel issue using Franco. I switched to ElementalX and now everything works, orientation and apps. Sorry for the bother
A factory reset seems to have solved it, but then I flashed the second nightly and it happened again at the start. Here are both files right after flashing it. Also Gallery and Camera FC'd at startup and I haven't been able to open Camera. Hope it helps.

Been on this Rom for over 24 hrs. My OP2 now has wings! Stock kernel is also a beast!
Thanks for the port, can you give us any details regarding your kernel?
This rom doesn´t use the stable aosp tags as base like the other custom rom do. It uses the aosp master branch as base. It´s the bleeding edge branch from google with the latest and greatest code
What makes the master branch beetter then the stable branches?
You get daily updates and it includes a lot of the stuff the under the hood stuff Android N will feature like the support for clang 3.8 and javac 1.8.
It has the features stock android has + the option to change the statusbar clock (you find it in the clock settings)
What doesn´t work?
Some audio issues with Verizon
How to install it?
*Boot into recovery.
*Perform a FULL factory wipe and wipe/system and dalvik cache as a precaution
*Flash the Rom, Gapps and Superuser
*First boot may take up to 10 minutes

Verizon phone call's audio is broken. It'll connect and ring my landline but i can't hear caller at all. They can hear me but I can't hear them. 4G data and WiFi work fine though. This is on N Preview 3's 05.36R radio and bootloader. Clean flashed with Banks nano Gapps. Everything else works great and fast. This is on stock kernel.
EDIT: Sorry, I missed spoke. Banks only has one gigantic 334 MB Gapps and Open Gapps has PICO and NANO versions.
Wow. I am going to have to try this out. Ran Master branch on my Nexus 10 for a bit and it was pottery cool for a stock type ROM. Thank you for sharing.

Really lol I've never had that happen after flashing a rom
Sent from my Nexus 6 using XDA-Developers mobile app
DOWNLOAD: here if you want to try it out.
HISTORY:
I've wanted to have the stock kernel stability and fixes from upstream. No fancy scheduelers, no fancy governors or other unorthodox modifications that could endanger the stability of the kernel, so this kernel was born.
FEATURES:
- stock google kernel (3.10.40) on which I applied the upstream 3.10.y patches, but only the things that our phone is using (WIP).
- there are also a few fixes from CM, flar2, franciscofranco that are cherry-picked from their repos. (This is where the + in the version comes from. And also because I was lazy to edit the build script to remove it)
- built with Linaro GCC 4.9.4 from @Christopher83. I choose 4.9.4 and not GCC5 or GCC6 since Gentoo which is known to be a bleeding edge distro doesn't consider GCC5 as stable. I've chosen Linaro because I tested a lot of other toolchains back in the days when I had my Nexus 5 and Linaro always felt better.
It's built with Linaro GCC4.9.3 with support for LTO. The reason for 4.9.y remains.
- the ramdisk is stock, so forceencrypt=yes and you must re-root after flashing this kernel. You can flash over other kernels, since I overwrite the existing ramdisk with the stock one.
INSTALLING:
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash boot boot-n.img
fastboot reboot
or use TWRP to flash the image.
TODO:
- continue patching. I currently applied only 23 patches. (3.10.40+23=3.10.63) The currently Linux kernel release for 3.10 branch is 3.10.102. I think that I can have 3.10.102 by the end of the month.
- I'm working on a LTOed build. Done.
REQUESTS:
- the only thing that I will add if requested is BFQ. Though BFQ won't work as you think on a mobile phone. See this
- I won't deny requests, but there is a 99% chance that the feature won't be added
Enjoy.

A whole lot of people likes "unencrypted" kernel so you may consider making one for "no force encrypt".
^ I will consider this. I don't like the idea, but I think I can make two separate versions.
Also, new beta release today. I managed to build with LTO and added a few more patches from mainline.
can't wait to try this kernel. i know it's pretty much stock, but this should be good. always wanting to try new kernels and build my own lol. thank you sir
LTO is stable so all the builds from now on will use LTO. I'm thinking on trying some ArchiDroid build flags.
It might be placebo, but I like how the phone feels. Worst case scenario, LTO-ing and/or using other build flags than -O2 doesn't do anything. Best case scenario, we might gain a little performance in some operations.
Anyway, a beta build is available. (3.10.76-lto)
This is only for Android N correct? Abby chance you could release a MM edition?
tApPeD fROM mY nExUs 6
I won't support MM.
You could use this kernel image without ramdisk and put it in a flashable zip which builds the ramdisk on the fly, like ElementalX.
Just rename mm-test-dtb wih the name of the image in the zip and flash.
If it boots, then there's your kernel. If it doesn't, sorry.
Running N Preview 5 and every time I flash any of these imgs through TWRP, it won't boot past the Google logo. Any suggestions?
Do you have any specific modifications? What kernel are you coming from?
Does it get stuck or is it rebooting right after Google logo?

This is a kernel.
Just wait for Google to release N officially and to update the sources for the kernel and I'll update it too.
Introduction
Hello everyone, this is my build of LineageOS with full Substratum support. It supports the rootless operations of Substratum as well as all of its features (overlays, fonts, boot animations [only on decrypted devices, more below], and sounds). It will be stock Lineage (meaning NO modifications from me aside from the Substratum support) and as such, I will not be supporting issues not related to Substratum. I will build as often as I can, ETAs are inconsiderate of my time
Installation
NOTE: Because this is build straight from Lineage's trees, forced encryption IS enabled. If you have decrypted, be sure to flash a custom kernel with forced encryption disabled (I of course recommend mine but all the major kernels should have it disabled as well).
Clean flash (needed when coming from another ROM [including official LineageOS]):
Download latest build with md5sum (TWRP will automatically verify)
Download GApps
Boot TWRP
Wipe system, data, cache, and dalvik cache
Flash ROM zip
Flash GApps
Flash other zips (such as root and kernels)
Reboot
Dirty flash (when already on these builds):
Download latest build with md5sum (TWRP will automatically verify)
Boot TWRP
Wipe cache and dalvik cache
Flash ROM zip
Flash other zips (such as root and kernels)
Reboot
Frequently Asked Questions
1.1 Q: Can I dirty flash over from official LineageOS?
1.1 A: No, a clean flash is required as their builds are signed with private keys.
1.2 Q: Can you merge ABC feature from XYZ ROM?
1.2 A: No. This is stock Lineage with OMS support, that is it.
1.3 Q: I have XYZ bug, please fix!
1.3 A: I will only be fixing issues related to Substratum support; anything else will be handled by the Lineage team. You will need to clean flash over to their builds to do so, they will most likely not accept reports on unofficial builds (especially ones like mine with a heavily modified framework).
1.4 Q: Why did my device get force encrypted?
1.4 A: Because you didn't read.
1.5 Q: What root should I flash?
1.5 A: It's up to you, as root is only required for boot animations on encrypted devices. There are four options:
SuperSU
Magisk
phh's Superuser
Lineage's su
1.6 Q: How do I see what is new every release?

The Lineage team: this is all their work, I only added the necessary hooks for OMS and exposures
The Substratum team: their dedication would not make this possible

Wow. first one for N6P i think.
downloading. Thanks in advance )
Happy weekend
Thank you so much, @The Flash! Might give it a spin for a short while the next time I clean flash.
Really wish LOS merges your commits so that rootless Substratum becomes officially supported, since I don't see any progress with CMTE, at least anytime in the near future.
Great to see! Kudos
@The Flash, It's really incredible to see you doing so much for the community. Thank you

Nope. I appreciate the thought but I don't take donations Especially since Lineage themselves don't currently take donations. Feel free to give to something like the Free Software Foundation or Open Source Initiative if you want to contribute to something good.

You'll need a custom kernel like my own but yes, it does.

Been running it a day, didn't even change the kernel, running very well.
Great news!!! I'm on LOS and was waiting for this for a long time...
I have one question: if i make my own migration build with "repopick -f 156047 162144" , is it possible to dirty flash this ontop of my build? I have a lot of customised apps and don't want to config everything again...I would make my own build with OMS but i don't know how to pick all the OMS patches.
Thanks!!

Well you're in luck! https://forum.xda-developers.com/ne...ference-lineageos-substratum-support-t3580276
You can also use the merge script I provide. Just run it on a clean Lineage repo and you're good to go! https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=71660770
Awesome..
