****AFTER SOME USAGE I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS CASE DUE TO SUB-PAR PERFORMANCE******
I received my Droidax case today and first impression is the case is made very well. It has a 1650mAh battery built in so you are doubling your battery life and protecting your phone the same time. I made a quick YouTube video of the case and have attached a few pictures below. The case makes the phone maybe 3/8 inch longer but when you compare it to the outer box commuter case its only 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch thicker. I tried to show this in the pictures below. Hopefully you can see it. I will report back on the battery life after some use. I'm really liking the looks of the case. I think it looks much nicer than the Samsung version that's out there and its like half the price.

Thanks for the video.
Might Get one.

I am really digging on this! I like the 2 piece case design which makes it easier to remove the phone. Couple of questions:
1. It looks like the top and bottom mics are covered? I didnt see any holes.
2. Do you know if the phone can still be synced via USB with the cover on?
I had something like this for my iPhone. The major issue, as opposed to switching out to a larger battery, is that a lot of the charge "disapates" in the transfer process from the pack's microUSB to the phonel. Under optimal conditions, you're probably getting 60-75% of the pack's capacity.

Yup, I had the Mophie Juicepack Air for my iphone 3gs and I would get approximately 75% more charge. Though not optimal, is is still way better than not having the extra power.

Yes the holes are there. They are just small so its hard to see it on the video and pictures.

Yes the instructions say the case will actually use 25% of the batteries power to charge the phone so in essence you are getting 75% of a 1650 mAh battery or if you let the phone run down to 25% you can then turn the case on and charge the phone back to a 100% in theory. Unlike the Mophie Juice Pack this case will actually stop charging the phone once it hits 100%. The case at this point shuts off. Not as much waste. The Mophie would continuously charge the iPhone until it would run dead.
The big push around here has been the 2000mAh battery with cover and then a case to protect it all. That's a lot of $$$$. This case is only $50 with free shipping. $12 to the US for over night FedEx and your getting the case to protect and an additional 1650mAh in battery power.

Just curious if this case has any negative impact on the wifi, gps, and cell signal? I have a read few posts that shows certain cases impede the signal (i.e. Casemate Barely There Aluminum).

Thanks for the video! I ordered mine a couple hours ago. Should be shipped to me by the end of the week. This is exactly what I've been looking for.

Hey, just got this case. So far I do like the feel. I had a casemate which provided a lot of protection and the kick-stand (which I did not actually use much). The casemate was pretty large/heavy so moving to the Droidax is not much different other than now I have a lot more battery time!
Will have to see how it goes over time but so far so good. The one thing for people to consider is that this case does not provide any protection for the front of the phone (unlike the casemate)! If you drop your phone face down (especially if it slides) there will be damage to the screen I would think. Other than that not a bad case.

Glad you like it. As far as the screen, after watching some drop tests the s2 definitely outperforms the iPhone 4s. I would agree with you though. I do like it when the case wraps around the front a bit.
Got mine today. Its pretty cool. Good fit over all. The top doesn't sit flush with the body. Its about a 1 mm off in some places but not to bad. Sofar I like it. Defenetly got to get a srceen protector thou.

Trying to get a head start on accessories before I get the phone, lol.
Does anyone own the High Gloss Silicon Case available direct from Verizon. It comes in 3 colors. $19.99 each.
They have a sale this weekend, buy 3 items get 20 percent off, buy 5 items get 30 percent off.
I was planning on getting the screen protectors directly from them also, and maybe an extra STANDARD size battery.
What do you guys think?
Here is the Verizon link:

honestly, i'd just reccommend checking out cruzerlite tpu cases...go checkout my thread for pics, reviews and links to their stuff..they're much cheaper than 20 bucks..that's really expensive

I coughed up the $20 for this case in black. I bought the phone just before traveling on business and did not want it naked. (I actually had just decided not to purchase another phone for a while as I had my Incredible rooted and on a stable ROM with a great kernel, etc. etc., but the LCD cracked. I suspect it was a Verizon OTA screen cracking exploit nobody knows about....)
I like how the case wraps around the Rezound. I also suprisingly like the gloss. We'll see how it holds up. I typically keep a case for a few months then decide I want something "else." Once a phone is rooted, I need to be able to pull the battery frequently while tinkering around with it, so a silicon case is a nice option, as opposed to a hard two-piece case that I'm constantly pulling apart. It feels like a "better" case than the cheaper silicon ones I can get at the stand at the mall right outside the Verizon store.
Picked up the red gloss case and so far so good I like that it doesn't add any bulk.

the standard clamshell holster that verizon sells has always worked on the silicone cases on all the phones I have had.. bionic, charge, tbolt and razr; yes i may have a problem
I have the black one aswell. I liked it ok for a cheap case... I didn't like that the camera wasn't really protected... But that's really it tbh. Love my commuter otterbox

Yep, I have the black high gloss case also. With the case on, the Rezound fits perfectly in my hand and the case adds a nice grip to avoid dropping

Grabbed the black one when I picked up the phone. Fairly nice but not worth 20 bucks imo. Once my Otterbox commuter comes in, it's going back and I'll pick up a car charger.

Haven't seen that one, and the corners look more rounded than the Sweet Armor is. I can't help but wonder though about the screws. They go through the aluminum such that if it is dropped and it hits on the corner, the tiny screw will take the hit in shear. Unlike the Sweet Armor where the aluminum shape itself is taking the hit. So, I wonder what they did to keep the tiny screws from shearing off in a drop.

Having never had an iPhone I have no idea what that is. The Sweet Armor also uses screws.
I looked at more pictures. It would appear that this case uses two screws to hold the parts together. One big C and one small C, so to speak. A left and a right half rather than a front and back half like the Sweet Armor.
Also, from surfing Ebay it seems like it might hold the screen further off the surface you might lay it on, which in my opinion is one of the shortcomings of the Sweet Armor.
It definitely looks nice. It's a little pricey at $50 though. Just debating on whether to take a chance or not.

Duralumin
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Duralumin (also called duraluminum, duraluminium or dural) is the trade name of one of the earliest types of age-hardenable aluminium alloys. The main alloying constituents are copper, manganese, and magnesium. A commonly used modern equivalent of this alloy type is AA2024, which contains 4.4% copper, 1.5% magnesium, 0.6% manganese and 93.5% aluminium by weight. Typical yield strength is 450 MPa (65 ksi), with variations depending on the composition and temper.[1]

I'd be willing to bet that the price will come down to under $20, just like the Element vapor knockoffs were for the iPhone. I bought the knockoff for my iPhone and it was as good as the original I bought from Element.
$40 is way too much.

I got Gold Don Star case. I used to have sweet armor case for galaxy s2. When I compare the two the biggest difference is the material.
The sweetarmor is more of metal feel. When it hits something you will definately know it is some kind of thin metal or aluminum. With Don star, it is more of plastic feeling.than metal. it feels durable, and the fit is tight and well, but I hear sqeaking sound when i press right middle body. It is great case overall though. It does not interfere with any reception of gps since the material isn't metal.
Make sure if you have fat finger, you will have hard time reaching for the power or volume button since there is no rubber extension comes with case. I have hard time becuase i have big hand, but i can live with it since the case looks awesome.
Overall good quality but i don't know how long it will last, and the price is bit expensive compared to sweetarmor. I bought it for bumper use only.(i have front screen protector and the battery cover, I will buy another battery cover when it gets too much scratch)
I will try to post a pictures soon.

I really like the case, its about the same thickness of my platinum series or "seido" case. It's very lightweight with the phone in the case. I like the design a lot and it fits nice in my hand. It doesn't really feel like rubber but more like plastic, although it IS in fact rubber. The leather and stitching is on point, it gives it a nice look and feel. The side treads? Gives the user a good grip. Ive seen a lot of reviews saying it is hard to put the case on, but for me it wasn't even close to.being difficult. For $5 its a steal. High quality case seems like it'll be able to go through many drops without any problems. One more thing it hugs the phone very snug so you can rest assure that the phone won't pop out and it will stay protected. Here's pictures:
The buttons on the sides arent bad btw. The case does not affect my screen protector (rise along the edges or corner). Heres the inside of the case:

Thanks for the review and pictures. I was on the fence about getting yet another case (I have 3-4 ebay specials I swap in & out), but the pictures really make this look sharp.
Just ordered, $5 for a $18 case is a steal.
So a while back I ordered two moto stands because they were on sale. I hardly use one of them so I decided to modify one.
This is what I came up with because I had been wanting a qi wireless stand. It was a lot easier than I thought.
Took apart one of the stands. Under the pad are just four lil screws, then just clipped off a couple of tabs so that it can lay flat on the back of the qi charger.
I didnt want to use super glue to stick them together, then I remembered I had some adhesive for cell phone screens and that stuff is strong, for being super thin (i think 1/16)
Here are some pics. Works awesome and looks good.
Looks nice. I like it. Props on the creativity.
oh btw i took the pics with my N6 lol
I might try this with mine, I mainly use it for holding my phone when I do work but this is a good idea.
This inspired me. I just bought all of the stuff to do this.

I dont think it would make a difference with that charger, I tried it that way and it wouldn't charge the phone sideways.
Just got a nexus 6 and i see that this stand is on sale.
Does the charging pad work with the N6 in that position?
I like the subtle plug for FKupdater.
How well does it work with a case? My nexus 4 qi charger works while the other I got for my Sammie doesn't. The nexus charger is just very difficult to find the sweet spot and get it to stay there. I'm currently is using the supcase unicorn beetle heavy duty case, awesome case by the way. Thanks

If you make this set up it works great. I've got the ringke max case on mine and it works fine.
Awesome. Buying materials right meow! Thanks
