I am having a problem where TWRP is crashing while trying to install ROMS. No matter what I do, the screen just goes black within 15 to 30 seconds. I am running TWRP version 2.4. It was running fine until I tried installing the TACHYON ROM. For some reason after that installed and failed TWRP has been useless and now I am stuck with an almost bricked phone.
Mods, you can close this thread. I have it figured out now.

I have previously installed custom ROMs before and have successfully been running wanamlite for several months, however, i tried to install CM11 today.
I installed CM10.2 first to get CWM 6.0.4 and then continued to flash CM11. It was successfully installed and booted fine but apps kept crashing such as the playstore. I decided to go back to my wanamlite backup so went back, cleared the caches and went to restore to find that it couldnt find any files. Now when i try to reboot i get the Cyanogen mod cymbol then it loads the background but with a message that reads "the process com.android.phone has stopped" and i cant do anything from there. It will still boot into recovery and download yet this happens everytime i try to boot the phone into the normal mode.
So what did I do wrong? Whats the extent of my problem? & does any bright soul know if and how i can fix it?
Thankyou everyone

With what recovery did you perform the backup? Maybe flashing that recovery will let you restore your backup.
All sorted now. I flashed the stock rom through odin and started again with the jeboo kernel and took extra care when flashing everything and now it's all working. KitKat-ed.
Missing some of the aspects of touchwiz a bit and i got a lower score on antutu than with wanamlite but i'll stick with it for a big, if only for the bragging rights when i get back to work on Monday.
Twrp keeps rebooting and I cannot flash. I was in the middle of a flash and now no longer have an os installed. I was on clockwork but I prefer twrp so I flashed that today it rebooted and appeared to work then this strange behavior started. what should I do?
edit:Managed to flash clockwork in the short time it was working and that solved my problem.
Installed CWM and rooted my phone tonight, everything went well. I have a canadian sgh-i527m. I took a backup through cwm and tried to install cyanogenmod and it failed. I don't recall the error....tried two other and both both failed as well. Now I can reboot and get into recovery but when i try and restart the phone, it just reboots itself a couple times and goes back to recovery on its own.
I I tried restoring the backup and says it's successful, but then it hangs at the glowing samsung screen. I wiped the cache and device and can only get to recovery. I'm downloading the stock os for bell and will install that through odin in the morning, but can anyone help with what i'm doing wrong? I never had any issues installing many roms to my note II.
Stuck in a boot loop with my HTC one m7 (sprint - US) where I can use recovery just fine, I can flash both CWM and TWRP and sideload any ROM, but none work. AOKP and Cyanogenmod each crash seconds after booting to the lock screen and MIUI stays on but throws up persistent errors about the UI stopped responding (not giving me access to do anything). All I would like to do is get any stable ROM to run so that I can use an RUU file to restore everything. On another note, the phone says "unlocked" in the BIOS like screen at the beginning, but CWM and TWRP keep offering to root my phone, which never works. It was rooted before... Somehow my CWM back ups got deleted, no clue how. It seems like the same problem is affecting each rom, becuase I have used each before without a problem. any suggestions are much appreciated! Thank-you!
Tried:
wiped every thing I could from recovery menus
no backups available
I have been trying to flash roms xenox hd and octos. Both are andriod 5.x I have used both twrp and cmw. They both flash fine but when I reboot it loads the logo of the roms but they just keep going and going. Not like bootloop. Just they will not load to the main screen.
What am I doing wrong?
