Hi everybody,
I'm new in XDA-Developers and in the tablet/Android's world. I recently was trying to modify "vold.fstab" in order to change the way the tablet was installing the apps and unfortunately I made a mistake (although I followed all the steps). Now I am unable to access my external SD card, so I can't put anything there via PC or via recovery. I tried pressing the power button + home button to go into system recovery mode so I could reset the tablet but nothing happened.
Could anyone help me please? I would be very grateful if you could let me know any advice or attach me the original "vold.fstab". I've tried several codes and archives but my Freelander still does not recognises the external SD Card, only the internal memory.
Kind regards,
kudoz1

hey, i been searching around but still dont know how to solve this, im running on GTX rom and i cant access sd card through file explorer, its always in the My device folder, help would be apprieciated!
Maybe it's not recognised by the smartphone for some reason....You can try to turn off HTC and remove SD card, then turn on and again turn off and insert SD.
Another try is to try to read SD directly with a PC to understand if is broken or need a format.
Hey guys,
I got the Hero with Android 1.5, Build: 2.73.421.5. It does not detect any SD card at all. The cards are fine, works in a pc. They are FAT32 and clean, but no matter what I do it just does not work. Any ideas as to what I can do to fix this without sending it in?
Thanks
Hello? Anyone?
1. Did you try formatting it on your phone just in case?
2. try a different one and see
3. May be hard reset your phone

The phone doesn't pick the card up at all, so I can't format it.
I tried a different sd card.
I did a hard reset about 5 times since yesterday, I even opened the phone and cleaned it with an electro cleaner liquid. No luck!
Thanks for replying
Same thing here.
Hero doesn't see any sd card.
FW version 1.5.
And also Computer can't connect to phone - "Unknow device".
noone?
This happens to me on my work computer (not recognized) but not on my home puter (okay).
I don't know why.

1. Install Hero drivers on your computer (you can find them if you type Htc Hero drivers on google - and you will find them without Htc Sync bull**** program).
2. Install Paragon Partition Manager and see if it is recognized there. If it is, you can format it using FAT16. See if this helps.
3. After formatting, remove the sd card, remove the cable, push the sd card back, boot your rom and try to enter in sd card using a file manager such as Linda FIle manager, ES File explorer etc.
4. You can try and see if it is recognized by entering in fastboot menu (power off and then press power + volume up and down at the same time).
5. IF this doesn't help, I suggest manage somehow and install a custom rom. This will definitely solve your problem.

Send it to repair.
Hello, I rooted my ICOO iCou D70G2 and managed to softbrick it into a loop at the Android messages. I bought another, identical tablet, and would now like to clone the new one into the old. I would very much appreciate complete, newbie level instructions on how this can be done.
Here is what I have tried so far.
I looked for a stock ROM for this device, but can't find one. The closest out there I could locate is for a D70Pro II. I don't know if it will work, and in any case, I still can't figure out how to flash the old tablet.
The old tablet does go into recovery mode using vol up and power. I tried putting the Pro II flash on the micro sd card (tried both img and zip, separate times), but the tablet isn't seeing the micro sd card in recovery mode with the update from sd card option. It shows a folder /sdcard with some seemingly empty subfolders, but even if I take out the micro sd card it shows the same set of folders and says choose a package.
I tried using the Intel USB drivers with adb, but the device isn't recognized in recovery mode by adb. Rockchip Batch Tools 1.8 also doesn't see the device, although it seems to load the ProII img file correctly.
It would be really great to get this old tablet to work. I don't have any CWM, TWRP or any other backup software on either device at this point. The new device is new from the box and not rooted.
I upgrade this tablet by downloading software from manufacturer site and i use an app from manufacturer to upgrade. After this i cant load Internal Flash memory from Android and my computer cant see it like USB storage disk.
Tablet only see the 1 GB of 8 GB of internal storage. It cant read SD card too.
I don't know what I need to do. I try Factory Data Reset from Android options menu and it didn't work.
The biggest issue with this tablet is broken volume button. I can turn the bootloader menu with ADB but I cant choose anything due to volume button issues.
Traditionally... please help.
