I have a Verizon Note 2 that I want to sell because I got the Note 3.
I need to go back to a stock ROM. I am rooted via TWRP. I am little new at this part of rooting. Can someone recommend a stock ROM I can use so I can get my phone ready for sale?
Thanks for your help!!

Sometimes leaving it "unlocked" or rooted fetches more money. I tried selling my GS3 and people were asking if I could unlock it after I restored it to Stock. Its relatively easy to go back to stock if you follow the instructions. Good luck!
Moved from development to Q and A. Closed. Question answered.

Hi everyone sorry if these questions have been answered. I a very new Galaxy Tab owner (I got it maybe 5 minutes ago) from a trade on the XDA Market. I have a question.
Can I safely flash from ICS ROMs to a HC ROM? I know on some tablets you can and some you can't but I can't seem to find anywhere that'll let me. While I love AOSP, some apps I use aren't compatible with them so I need "official software" plus I want to be ready for the official ICS update.
Yes, you can pass from ICS to HC ROMS, the only thing you need to do is a full wipe.
If what you want is go back to stock (start over), here is a good guide (is the last part "Re-“Stocking” Yer System…"): The Guide

Awesome first question answered everything. I can go from ICS to HC ROMs. thank you so very much. i'm midway through downloading the root and unroot stuff that s0ckm0nk3y posted, but i should probably keep that around anyway huh never hurts to have the root and unroot tools at your disposal.

Thank you for your response I have all the root and unroot tools on my computer already so I'd probably just odin back if I had to unroot. I don't mind my binary flash counter climbing my epic touch is at 60 already.
I rooted my phone a couple days back and tried to install a custom rom today. That was my first time rooting and today was my first time trying to install a custom rom. I just want to get it back to stock at this point. When i turn the phone on it sticks at the samsung galaxy note II logo. I can boot into odin mode but i cannot boot into recovery mode or the os. Ive tried flashing just the bootloader... ive tried just flashing the pda... ive tried flashing the pit, bootloader and pdaat the same time and Ive tried flashing just the bootloader and just the pda... im stuck any help would be much appreciatied. Its a verizon note 2 i used the toolkit method to root. If this has happend and been solved a point to the right thread would be great..... Ive seen people say to flash then wipe it and what not, really need a tutorial that abc's it since its my first time. I thought i had it when i used the toolkit to do the odin download + bootrecovery option but it says my phone is not in usb debugging mode and i cant boot into the os to turn it on.... Help please. Its a galaxy note 2 on verizon network the sch-1605 version.

Why are people wanting to go back to 4.1 from 4.3? I saw a vast improvement in my note's performance and can't see a reason as to what you would be loosing/gaining by traveling back.

OOOO
I see. So accepting a verizon OTA unroots your phone and makes it so you can't put a custom bootloader on it anymore. That sucks. But if you never took the actual OTA then you are good to go with a bootloader is what you are basically sating?

Isn't that link for 4.1.1...If I'm not mistaken, if I try to flash from VRALL4, Odin will stop responding at s boot?

There is a stock rom in the development section. It would be a lot easier to just flash that versus going all the way back to a "factory stock"

I believe these are better:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2024207
I did what you are looking to do with no problem. Make sure you have a PIT file and a good I605_VRALJB_Restore.tar.md5 file. After you get it back just keep updating the phone over the air (not wifi) and you will be all set.

Did you bother to browse the forums? Not to be a DB but you're literally already in the right forum to find the proper thread you need. In fact its the first sticky. Not to mention you ask this in Q&A. Questions and answers. Everything is "gimmie gimmie now" now a days. No more self-effort.
MyEntityRemains said:
Really? Don't wanna be a DB? Too late. I know I'm in the right section of the forum. As I said, I read if you tried to flash a stock rom with Odin, it would stop at S boot, if you already accepted the VRALL4 update. Not to be a DB, but I don't want a 5.5" boat anchor. I modified every smart phone I've ever owned, with most recent being the S3. I know Big Red screws with updates, so was getting feedback about going back to stock. If you don't want to help, fine. But don't chastise me for not wanting to bork my phone. Have a good evening.

Had you read the sticky, or even the restore to stock thread, you'd be back on stock VRALL4 by now.
I have a rooted Nook tablet so not a complete noob, but how safe is the root process for a verizon Galaxy s4? I'd like to root it so I can get rid of some of the junk apps and install others I want, but I void my two yr warranty...thoughts from the experts? just want to feel comfortable moving forward and if so, is there a set of clear instructions somewhere?
Thanks to all
The search button is your friend.
I have also rooted verizon schi545 cm10'd I did not see aps to sd so now I went back to stock mdk 4.2.2 so now what take update or is there another rom that has aps to sd ?

Instead of an asinine comment that does you no go, here's some info.
Yes, rooting will void the warranty. However, you can always Odin to go back to stock should you have an issue that requires returning your phone to VZW.
I've rooted both my old S3 and my current S4. I JUST started rooting on the S3, so I'm relatively new as well but have learned a lot. My S3 was stock rooted, but I took the plunge with my S4 and am running HyperDrive ROM which is HOLY MOLY sweetness.
It's up to you, but if you're going to root, perhaps look at the ROMs that are available and flash one. I'm not sorry that I started flashing Roms. Not one bit

Three replies thus far and yours is the only one of solid benefit..thanks. Can you point me anywhere to see step by step to accomplish what you did on your S4?

How old is your S4? The reason that I ask is that there was an OTA update the broke root. Currently there are Dev's looking into how to root with the new firmware.
Have you installed the OTA update?
Phone is about a month old...I have made no changes to the existing phone so I don.t know about the OTA update (although the VW software that came with it appears to update the phones software when plugged into laptop)

Go to ->Setting->More->About Phone and tell me what you Baseband version says. If it's VRUAME7, you have the OTA update. If it's VRUAMDK, you do not.
confirming VRUAME7

No.....there is no way to uninstall the update. Patience, young rooting grasshopper! A new method will be out shortly, I would imagine. Doesn't usually take too long,
Much appreciated...and lastly can you point me to how I would reinstall what you refer to as Odin should I screw up a future root process?
