Hi mate ...
Which patch the old one .... I think it will not work .... It could happened like the first arabic patch it won't match with the next updat with ...xxkf2 until the madmak he updat his file ...
Madmack has posted the script to let you modify the files yourself.

1) Download odin.
2) Download XXKPJ
3) Open Odin
4) Select Tass.ops
5) Check 'one package' in the check box
6) Flash the file as one package
sr but im using xxkpi.. if i flash ll it cause any prob to ma mini... bcoz i read in some post tht since CSC is different it wont install n hence have to flash with the regional CSC... IM FROM INDIA SR... THANKS IN ADVANCE
I flashed it from XXKPI too.
Do you use European version of XXKPI? (There is only European I think)
So if European XXKPI works, then XXKPJ should work too.

You have Asian firmware... 2.3.* is only for European phones for now. It will work, but you may experience slower 3G etc.
thanx...in some threads they mentioned to Use CODE,BOOT and MODEM files from European 2.3.x firmware and CSC from Indian firmware.

does that mean frm "Asia Samsung S5570 Firmwares" section at samware i have to download the 2.2.1 asian firmware n use csc frm that n the rest frm 2.3.4 frm europe firmware ??
You could try it. At least I haven't tried that... Be careful, collect some information first. Good luck!

>> Go to samfirmware.com and download European version foryo (preferably S5830XXJLC) and also download foryo of your region (in our case S5830DDKC1)
>> First flash your SGA with the European version foryo
>> After flashing European version foryo, now flash the ‘one package’ foryo rom of your region which you had downloaded before.
Voila! you are back to the stock rom

But i preferred KPN or KPH is Much better than Old Stock rom.. Lates Firmware are much smoother and Stable..
Besides even if you have v2.3.3+ Firmware like KPN from Kies you can still use your warranty because its an official stockROM.. Unless you rooted it or its a CostomROM with some tweaks..

Thanks OP, i was hoping to get my phone to the service center but the Downgrading part is pretty long from KPH to FroYo (First European froyo and then indian).
My trouble is shortened
will kies recognize it or keep saying update unavailable or cannot update this device

yes, this will downgrade any GB/custom rom previously installed on your phone.

just rename the files and remove '.md5' from the files, and make it ".tar" and it will work,

Its because froyo and gb uses diff bootloaders... if ur froyo package has boot.bin and sbl.bin then even that wud do ur job... i feel this shud be the reason... just extract ur downloaded package and chk it
I would like to upgrade my SGS2 from the UAE CSC to the official Indian ICS version. Please help !!! I have already downloaded the official XXLPQ/ODDLP7/DDLP8.tar.md5 ICS for India. Do I do this directly with ODIN3 even though I have a different CSC ????????????????
Also the most important thing to ask is :--

odin doesnt require root and its as official as KIES yet better than Kies...

I rooted my SGS2 because my I need to have Chinese language on my phone, my wife doesn't read English (when I bought this phone it doesn't have Chinese in the system so I rooted it), she needs it to navigate the whole phone. Right now I would like to unroot my phone and back to Samsung original rom for SGS2. U can dwnld the Stock Firmware From www.sammobile.com .
just register for free there and then dwnld the firmware pertained to ur region,then use 'Odin' on ur PC to flash the same to ur phone
U can search for 'Video' guides on 'Youtube' on 'How to flash Stock samsung Firmware on galaxy S2 using Odin'
once u install the stock firmware it will automatically 'UnRoot' the phone for u.

Exactly, you just have to download the last official firmware for your country and flash it via Odin Your phone is unrooted then.
