Hey Ghost...
What you need to do is download some PC software called 'flashtool'
Then using this tool you can flash what is known as an 'FTF'
Essentially this is a ROM that is pure stock, and stock kernel. It makes your device like it was out of the box.
Here is a guide on using flashtool LINK
Here is a link to the FTF's to download LINK
Don't be scared.. its a piece of cake. Personally i've flashed FTF's about 10 times per week... its easy

Quite easy my friend there are files floating about and you download and keep the save... Like so many others...SIMPLE
Again if you have the rom to which you need said file if you know how to extract you could also do it this way...
Here a easy way.. Flash your stock rom once done you can backup said file to a save place and if you need root again you know what to do..
if you want the original kernel...
download your firmware @ sammobile.com
extract it (extract all .tar files)
you'll find a "factoryfs.img". in the same folder there is a "zImage".
thats your kernel...
How can i flash it?
With odin?

You cant go back to stock. There is no unroot method for it.
Only way to go back to stock is to read the forums and post threads in the right section.

...I beg to differ. I would answer this... but I have decided that letting you look around would be easier. (hint: look at the top of this forum for the multitool and just watch the videos)

also when he says "back to stock" does he mean s-off stock rom or s-on stock rom. Either is possible

return to stock

Flash a stock Rom with Odin or get one of wannams stock deodexed/ odexed Roms to flash in cwm

Well what build is your phone?? If it wasn't MDK then that's why that's happening to you. You cannot install a custom recovery.
You're probably going to need to use Odin to get your phone back to stock.
Do you have any idea what build your on?

You won't be totally screwed. Just have to Odin MK2 back on your phone. Try the no wipe version first.
We all learned by doing things similar to this... Just get more familiar with how to research here on XDA first and you'll be alright.

Help moving from stock to Nougat

Hi guys, I've read a lot of the posts here and am looking for the simplest way to go from the latest Sony firmware on a sgp312 to a custom ROM.
As far as I can see I need to root the tablet via kingroot backup the TA partition and unlock the bootloader. Then can I just flash via adb a custom ROM with recovery kernel?
Appreciate any help you can give with this.
Thanks

Many thanks for updating your guide. I just need to pluck up the courage to try it now. Would you say it's worth doing?
