I've just downloaded Themer (Beta) on Galaxy S4 GT-19505 running android 4.3
I am currently using the theme "Blur" (see attached image; being a newbie I'm unable to post the image in-post)
I use the "Textra" SMS app as I prefer it over the stock messaging app, and whilst I receive notifications no worries in the stock notification bar, I don't receive any notification on the "Text" conversation bubble (the one in the middle); I receive notifications for gmail (the icon on the right), however, no worries.
Does anyone know how I could fix this?
Thanks

Thanks for the suggestion, we'll add it to our list, therefore it should be supported in the next 1 or 2 updates :good:
Has this been updated?
I have the same problem with the same messaging app as the OP. The unread messages number never shows anything other than zero

Not yet. It's still a huge task to implement, so we're going to work on it in the future, as right now we don't have the time or resources. Stay tuned though

Easiest way to try them is to take a screen shot.

Are you using a 2 finger gesture to expand? From what I hear this will be fixed in next version to only require a one finger gesture, but currently, Gmail or Email notifications and SMS etc, you need to use a 2 finger downward swipe to open them up

Whatapp does not take advantage of that feature yet!
I'm sure I read somewhere we could reply directly from the notification? Did I dream that?

You can do that on Cyanogen, there is a popup notification that allows you to reply direct from that. Wonder if thats what you are thinking?

Could be actually. You mean you pull down the notification bar and can press reply without opening the app? That'd be great.

I've been trying to get it to work with Gmail but it doesn't seem to happen. Just opens the Gmail when more than one email has been received and unread. When a single email is unread though it does show some of the message text.
Anyone had better luck?

Scratch that! It works... You have to drag down with two fingers from the notification to expand it. (like you drag down in Google maps to go into the 3d view)

How did I just figure this out! This feature is obviously not that well known! Oh my.
Thanks so much, this is immensely useful!
So I haven't run miui on a phone in forever, but the last time I did it had sms notifications that popped up toast style on the notification bar so you didn't have to exit the app you were in to respond. I have two questions, 1. Are there any devs out there right now that love miui enough that might try to port it? 2. Does anyone know of a sms client that may exhibit that behavior? Thx, in advance.
Enjoyment to the MAX.

You mean like a popup reply? Every third party messaging app on the play store does this, my personal favorite is 8sms.

I found a few threads with the same issues here and here, but those are still unanswered. So, I'm creating a new thread to know to fix this problem soon.
I want to know how to hide the 2 apps from the notifications from the lockscreen, but not from the actual status bar notification.
The 2 apps, an battery saver and 3g network monitor are essential in the notification but I don't like it being shown all the time in the lockscreen. It also kinda blocks any new notification of other apps like fb, whatsapp, etc.
Any help is appreciated.
Attached the screenshot of the lockscreen.
PS: My first post here so plz let me know if I miss anything.
Go to settings>apps chose the app you want and uncheck show notifications
Then it won't be shown in the notification bar either.

You can disable all notifications from lockscreen but you can't disable specific one unfortunately
That's all what I know

True that. I would like to see it in the notification but not in the lockscreen..

Ok. thanks for the info. Lets hope there would be some patch released in the future by Google.
There is one more bug in the lockscreen in the new Lollipop as one has to swipe-up and then use pattern-lock to unlock the phone. Earlier we have to use pattern-lock only and no swipe-up.

I would rather say that's wanted behavior.
I don't know if i'm the only one, but I've got a problem to get notifications working well for Facebook messenger. On my older phone, I received an instant notification when a message was sent to me. Now it can take a while (15-45min or more).. If I go in the app, it's like if the applications was asleep, because it shows no messages. I need to refresh the view and it shows the new message(s). I don't know if it's a p9000 bug or Android 6.0?
I try stock rom and Eragon v 4.8, same problem.

Cool It's better to disable whole bg task cleaner.
Hello,
I just updated my Mi10 to 12.2.2.0 Xiaomi.eu and everything seems to be working fine for me except two strange things with facebook messenger that are really frustrating:
1) it doesn't show messenger notifications on Always On Display, I have to turn on the screen and only then they show up
2) unread messages ARE NOT in bold font so I cannot see which are new after entering the app
I tried clearing the cache & data and reinstalling the Messenger twice, it didn't help. Tried changing the system font, size and weight - didn't help.
If you have encountered these problems, PLEASE tell me what to do, this is really frustrating as it is my main communicator to talk to people and it makes it very difficult.
Regards,
Chris

hey, thanks for your reply. Is this some modded version? Why did you choose it over the official play store version? just being curious.
I don't need nor want the bubbles to be honest, just notifications and unread messages showing in bold don't like they used to...

you mean the bubbles on the home screen that you can click to enter the conversation? or do you mean the little icons on the Always On Display?
For me the second ones do not appear as the should.

thank you for your suggestion, it solved the problem partially, the unread messages are still not bolded font but at least there is a blue dot on the right side so I see what was unread (it was removed in the newest versions). I guess it's some font conflict between messenger and my current ROM version...
