i purchased new q500 when i want to use 3g mode only, but there is no option for wcdma only option in mobile networks and also the testing mode is not working (*#*#4636#*#*). can anyone help me please help me my email id is [email protected],[email protected]

I tried to root my Xolo Q500 using the same method as rooting Q700 but failed. Its not working.. no SU binary found error popup on launching SUPERUSER.. so sad.. any more method that I can try to root it?

Hello guys...There is niether any custom recovery nor custom rom available for xolo q500. Please someone provide these two.....
Also i want to ask if i flash rom of some other device like xolo q700, will it work correctly. ????? There is no option to wipe dalvik cache in the android system recovery 3e of xolo q500. Then can i wipe dalvik cache using root explorer app. Also suggest some methods or app to backup my current rooted android system.

I have rooted my a12 using a10 method and u dont need any recovery. I am not a professionalist but i am telling u my experience that use binary script as usually used for any a10 etc and after rooting using bin4ary script just install mtk mobileuncle tool availabe at play store
Follow this after intallating mobileuncle
1) open it
2) scroll down till u find "into recovery"
3) tap it and wail u will be into the "recovery"

Do try http://www.srsroot.com or http://www.unlockroot.com .. let me know if it worked..
BTW i m also planning to buy lava iris 356.. Can u tell more about the performance .. speed and available storage for apps.. Does it lag after installing FB / Whatsapp etc ??

I have also Lava iris 356 3g. I already rooted my phone successfully by SRSroot application found by pc net.
Try this or follow the instructions. If you fail then try mobogeniu application for pc.

First, download framaroot .then after installing it,selet "install supersu".after succes msg reboot your iris 356 3g.

hey! what if I flash the rom of q1000? (not q 1000 opus) on my device?? ( q 1000 opus) will it work?
Opus is broadcom and q1000 is MTK

But you can try to install it after you replace its boot.img with Stock Opus boot.img

use MTK DROID Tool which automatically put the CWM recovery into your phone. use 2.4.8 and above version. Kindly google it and find. Or you can read my ports or other developers port in this forum and learn.
This will help you in future to face any problem in your Andoid phones. If you have any difficulties in google and find and exercise, then let us know.
Hi I just found out that the Xolo Q1000 Opus is the same exact phones as the Mobiistar Lai Touch 504Q (vietnamese phone). EXACTLY THE SAME.
AND apparently this is popular in vietnam so you can look in their forums. ( I am using google translate)

OK lemme make it clear, Opus is BROADCOM not MEDIATEK so MTK DROIDtypes of software wont work on it. It will only work on q1000 not q1000 opus

Yes you can root it by the following steps:-
Download and install Frameroot apk 1.9.1(search it on XDA).
Select superuserSU from list.
Then select baharir.
You will get success message and popup to reboot device!
2. I dont know about cwm recovery,you can try to flash it using mobile uncle mtk tools app and see if it works.

try superuser...it works for almost all the devices....it should work for our device also ..flash it through recovery...
