GTalk always online from Android - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Gtalk always shows me as connected through 3 Android resources even though I am not actually logged in to google chat from anywhere (android phone, computer or any other device). I used trillian to identify these three resources and all three are similar except the stars (which are alpha numeric) which are MessagingA*******1.1 ("A" here means android device)
I searched google a lot but couldn't find any solution to this and finally posting this in xda because the connection is through android device so may be I can find a solution here.
I used pidgin --> logged in using these resources --> logged off assuming this will solve the log off the resources...it worked but in 15 mins the same resource is back online. I also tried changing the password but no help.
I change my ROM a lot and use Gtalk/Hangout. So I believe these resources are the one which I didn't logged off before changing the ROM.
Any help guys?

I imagine the particular posters have found answers to their problems seeing as this thread
dates from 2014 but I thought it might be worthwhile answering all the same as I ran in to the same niggles when I began using this app so if anyone searching these issues subsequently may find some worth from my reply.
First of all as a far as experience and knowledge is concerned. Firstly with cars;fixing, modifying, engine management tuning, obd2, diagnostics. Basically my auto knowledge is extremely wide and extensive from approx 35 years of obsession and getting stuck in an the deep end whereas my knowledge and experience of computers and smart phone tech is on much, much shakier ground
In fact, for those of my vintage. i.e late 30s,early 40s remember when we were kids. and programmable VCRs were the height of cutting edga technology. Well I'm like the way our parents and grand parents were then. i.e pretty much baffled by it and even following the instructions it was hit and miss whether you actually managed to record that film rhat was on at 4am lol.
So for the second issue brought up by the OP it doesn't matter whether you email yourself the log file or not (I found the few times i tried it that the file wouldn't attach and when it did the problem was the same anyway) you need Microsoft Office or any other type of office suite to view the files. On the pc i have Microsoft office but had to download an app to my phone to view. csv files. Again an office suite that not only displays. csv files but puts them into a spreadsheet format is required.
As for the first issue it's preferable in every way to view the site. on a pc because on the phone display the actual box to sign into is off screen and takes a little bit of zooming out and seaching to find, the same goes after you have signed in when another box appears with a list of the logs files recorded and the tab to choose it. This is where my lack of fundamental computer/web knowledge comes in. I can't tell you why it doesn't sit nicely inti an easily accessible mobile format but it doesn't. Once you've found the first sign in box/pop up it becomes simple, annoying but simple.
As for there being nothing after signing into the webview site successfully all I can assume is either you've no log files to view which you should have if it's all been set up correctly, including choosing which PIDs to send to logfile or the pop up/window where you click on your logfiles is right off screen and has to be looked for. Of course you don't get that problem if accessed using your desktop.

[Reward] Need help reading https/ssl traffic from twitter app

Hello everyone, i've been racking my brains for the last few days figuring out why i cant sniff my twitter android app traffic anymore!
Basically what worked before was that i had simply installed fiddler/charles proxy on my PC, exported the root certificate (and added it to my android devices CA storage), then i installed cydia's mobile substrate and Android-SSL-TrustKiller because apparently the twitter apk uses certificate pinning that needs to be bypassed in order to properly MitM the app. I set my android wifi proxy settings to the same ip : port as the machine that fiddler/charles is listening on.
Unfortunately this does not work anymore and im left unable to properly read twitters app traffic, whereas googleplay, facebook, instagram, etc etc all work fine. It had worked fine until a few days ago. I hadn't updated my twitter app either so im just not sure how it could have broke itself.
I tried proxydroid (which uses iptables i believe), and fiddler showed attempts at connecting to one of twitters ip, but it never goes through (i believe this is an issue with the IP not resolving to the host-name correctly, which causes certificate name mismatch errors)
I'm incredibly vexed... i'll pay a fair amount to anyone who can help me properly diagnose and fix this issue.
If it helps, im on a SGS3 android version 4.1.2 (I even tried genymotion emulator, yielding the same results). Perhaps if someone can sucessfully perform this on their own device, they can help me along to identify the issue.

[Q] looking for evidence of app installation

Hi all,
Today my Nexus 6 (shamu) on T-Mo running the factory Project Fi image (rooted LVY48C, 5.1.1) auto downloaded and installed "T-Mobile My Account" app. I promptly took a screenshot of it having been installed and then uninstalled it. I have since spoken to T-Mobile, Motorola, and Google tech support looking for answers, like, who initiated this install? How did it install without my consent? etc. But nobody can answer these questions. T-Mobile claimed they have no possible process for auto-installing this specific package (it's not an OTA package). Motorola pointed me back at T-Mobile. Google, oddly, has so far claimed they "cant answer that for you unfortunately".
This is unacceptable -- that an app (with so many access permissions ie phone ID, contacts, GPS, SMS, phone logs, microphone, etc) can be installed without my consent.
What I would like help with is finding my own answers to these questions. As [email protected] via an ADB shell, running logcat, it appears that history only goes back about 2 hours. I did not run logcat until several hours later. It appears that Android does not have capable logging mechanisms. I also was not able to find any references to "t-mobile" or "tmobile" in a Root Explorer search.
Can you please help me investigate? Where should I look?
Cheers!

NFL streaming apps, on NOT a tablet?

Both of the NFL streaming apps work fine on my Nexus 7, however I want to use them on a different device (AFTV). I loaded them on and had issues with both.
com.gotv.nflgamecenter.us.lite
There is a 'provider login' button that is missing from the settings tab.
com.neulion.android.tablet.nfl.wnfln
When opened on my tablet it immediately asks me to login with my provider account, on the AFTV it brings up a different screen not giving me that option.
My questions are:
How do these apps know what device they are being run on? Is it grabbing the info from build.prop (I tried editing it to change the product info, didn't have success)
Is there a way to spoof my device information to that app? Or, would decompiling the app and looking for the check be the best course of action?
Has anyone had success in getting around these types of issues previously? I searched and came up empty handed.

Archos 101 G8 - browsing is broken

Hi,
I've just taken a 101-G8 out of its box after about 10 years. I was pleased to find it was still in working conditions, was able to connect it to the wifi, use the installed apps, but trouble started when I tried to browse (using the pre-installed Dolphin browser). Almost all sites give me the 'Web page not available' message. After some trials I found that accessing http version instead of https would work, if the site didn't force a redirect. So I suspect a certificate issue, but I have no clue how to update them. Then I found out that the AppsLib and Market apps are no longer supported, so I can't update or install new apps.
After reading the forums, I know I could try to upgrade Android to something like 4.0 (via Cyanogen), but I'm not even sure this would fix my browsing issues, which is all I need right now (I'd like to use it for my kids to access the doodlelearning.com website). Any advice for me?
Thanks!
