[Q] Need help updating to MK2 - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING OMG!!! I'm currently running MJ2 and am trying to update to MK2. When i do the OTA update it downloads, restarts, goes into recovery the bar goes half way for 2 seconds and says ERROR! Then just restarts. Using Kies it downloads the firmware goes to 100% stays like that for like 10 seconds then closes the download window! The main Kies window stays but is greyed out, the process is still running no errors no windows NOTHING!!! This **** is soo annoying I even flashed stock rom from this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2507253 and still nothing! Please somone figure out a solution or i might shoot my self!
P.S. Every time my phones reboots it says "CUSTOM" even after the Emergency Recovery soo idk if thats the reason its failing???

I kept getting update errors, so I flashed this non-wipe MJ7

OTA update fails everytime. Completely stock prime

I bought this tablet just a few weeks ago and there have been 2 new ota updates out. every few minutes it pops up and tells me there is a new update ready to install. It downloads, verifies, then reboots and trying to install gets about 1/3 of the way though and ends up with the red exclamation mark over the dead android. This tablet is completly stock i have not moddifed anythng since i have gotten it. I even downloaded the newest rom and tried to do it manually and still nothing. Im stumped. Someone plz send some help my way. My current version is 9.4.2.14 US

[Help] Tried to flash SuperSU and now bricked

long story short. I tried to flash a newer updated copy of SuperSU or whatever to get root back after updating to 4.0.4 earlier this week.
Once I did that I was able to get back into the operating system and run Root Checker. Everything passed. I then tried WiFi tether and it kind of locked up on me for a bit. then I was able to stop it and exit out of it. I Force closed the programs. Life was good.
For whatever reason I restarted the tablet. once I did that I was stuck on the Samsung screen for at least 15 minutes.
I then tried to re-run root file and then the new updated SuperSU. Then everything went all to hell.
Then I get a message that says
"Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode from Kies & try again."
Now I can not boot into anything but recovery...
I am able to with that message on the screen, connect to Odin and proceed to run the "factory" restore. However it has been sitting at what I would assume is about 5% or so for a long time. at least 20-30 minutes. Should this take this long?
And is there anything else I can do to do a restore? I am fairly new to this tablet and I use it for work and of course I have a super full day of work tomorrow and really got to get this thing back up and going.

[Q] Failed OTA-Broken Wifi mystery

Looking for some help, and though my title may sound familiar, in all the OTA when rooting threads I've read I didnt see anyone with it.
So Ive had the phone a couple of weeks, I stupidly forgot to check for updates before unlocking and rooting. Phone was unlocked and rooted using the All in One kit, custom recovery is CWM touch GSM. First thing after unlocking I made a nandroid backup. Then unrooted, setup the phone like i wanted and made another backup (rooted). It was at this point I checked for updates, see there is the new update (ending in .15) that enables the LTE bands. Tried to update and it fails, from the research I then did (shouldve done first, I know) it seems to be because I need stock recovery/unroot. Everything Ive read seems to point to people with the original unlocked/rooted ROM needing to reflash the stock recovery and OTA should work.
So I track down the stock recovery (have tried with 2 different files-same results), go into the whole thing, phone reboots, I sit through the recovery screen (blue circle made of arrows, phone, blue progress bar) progress bar completes, phone shuts off...and then nothing.(Having tried this a few times I have given it at least 5 minutes before trying to turn it on) When I pushed the power the capacitive buttons blink but nothing happens. I have to hold down the power button long before the phone finally boots.
Seems fine and then a message pops up saying update failed, to wait for a future update. I check the phone info and the it lists the new version (ending in .15, original was .12). I was thinking maybe it did update and was going to give it a try but then noticed my Wifi will not turn on, the switch is moved to on, its says its turning on but then eventually times out and gives me an error. I cant for the life of me figure out what step I missed or where I went wrong. I went back to my original nandroid backup and re-rooted and started from scratch which is what Ive been using.
Any help would be appreciated, sorry for the length.
Incredibly short version: Stock unlocked rooted, flashed stock recovery to do OTA update, update fails and breaks wifi, totally lost

I soft bricked my phone

I successfully rooted my phone about a year and a half ago, all went well. Sunday night I had my phone plugged into my computer, and somehow I must have clicked "update" in the Verizon Assistant thing. So it starts updating, and about 2 seconds later I realized what I did. So the phone finishes updating and then goes into the setup wizard. I got a couple questions in and got a message to the effect of "The wizard stopped working", I'd hit "ok" and less than a second later the message would pop back up. So I figured I'd reflash the existing ROM in Odin. "Fail".
Now my phone turns on and goes straight into what I believe is Odin mode. It says "ODIN MODE" with the same text it has in what I know is Odin mode. The only difference is that it doesn't have the green android in the center, it says "Software Update Failed - Your device didn't update successfully, Use the Verizon Software Repair Assistant on a computer to repair your device and complete the update". (Is this the same mode as entering Odin mode with the power/home/vol dn buttons?) So I tried that. Five times. Each time it stops at 83% and says the phone was unplugged. It wasn't, I tried combinations of different cables/USB ports.
From what I've found so far, you need to know my bootloader to help me. The ROM I flashed all those months ago (and tried to reflash recently) was "I545VRUFNC5_I545VZWFNC5", My original build was "KOT49H.I545VRUFNG6", The Verizon Repair Assistant sees "Version OF1"... So I guess I have NC5 or some screwed up combination of NC5 and OF1?
I *may* have had a little bit of data on the phone that I'd like to save, almost everything was on the external card, which I have now removed to prevent accidents. However, I believe I've already lost any data that was in the phone? I'd be perfectly happy to get it working at all, but I would like to update to OF1, since it appears it can be rooted. If that's wrong, I'd like to have the newest version that can be rooted. But like I said, working at all would be great.
Thanks so much for any help
-Jason
