Okay guys, here's the deal. I flashed my Galaxy Nexus again after a few months because it became little buggy and installed the same version of stock android - 4.3. And I rooted it and realised that the WiFi networks are not restored when I signed in Google account and I'm pretty sure that the option has been checked. And I didn't want to flash my phone again because it was too late and I already backed up all the apps and configured everything. I was planning to do it later and I left it like that for 10 days and now I just removed my account and signed in with the hope to fix it without reinstalling everything and it didn't work. I have only 4-5 networks that I connected to them in the last 10 days. And why is it like that? I'm really getting annoyed by this because I had probably 100 networks there. Should I reinstall it again? It happened to me last year but I immediately reinstall it again and they showed up and now I left that thing for later. Is it possible that they're deleted from the Google? What should I do? There has to be some way! I just can't believe that all my networks will be lost forever. If it happened now then it'll happen again. I really want to know how to restore them from my account! Please help me, explain to me what to do

I've searched everywhere and have been working on this problem all night. I unlocked the Bootloader and Rooted the phone about a month ago and uninstalled bloatware. Haven't had any issues with the new Android marketplace updates or when it's updated apps on my phone. However, over the past 3 weeks, my 3G connection kept dropping off in the Marketplace and on different apps. It shows up as full bars but they're grayed out. They only turn blue when I connect via WiFi (At least I won't go over my data plan!) This sucks because I've been missing important e-mails because G-mail and other apps will only sync when I'm connected to wireless network.
I've cleared the Dalvik cache, went through and rolled back the Android Market place to the stock version. I also restored my APN settings but I'm at a complete loss since none of these things worked.
I haven't posted much because I'd prefer to read and search for the problem online but I'm coming up short here. Should I return it back to AT&T or is there something else I'm missing?
*EDIT: I also realized that I'm having issues with the Bluetooth connection, the GPS connection recently since the upgrade. Finally, I have not had the fingerprint scanner working since before I've rooted and unlocked the BL.
Hey guys.
Tonight has been a very frustrating night overall.
I'll write my current problem here, so that those who can help can reply right away, below you can find a summary of the nights problems.
I can't get mobile data to work. It says its on if I go into settings, but I get no connection. If I add the widget in motoblur and try to toggle it, it says "Mobile Data is unavailable", and nothing else. Any solutions..? I have rebooted phone several times, as well as removed SIM card and put it back.
Long story:
I uninstalled Launcher7 today since I wanted to use something more "regular" before the release of the european ICS. After uninstalling it and fiddling around with Moto Home Fix to get the phone to even recognize that I have a default launcher, it got stuck in airplane mode. There was just no getting it out of it. Eventually I got so pissed of I just factory reset the phone. Now I have normal radio, and Wifi, but no Data connection. The error it gives is "Mobile data is unavailable" when I try to widget-toggle it.
If I go the long way in settings it says its on. Do I need to do something in the first time setup before it starts working? Its been so long I dont remember. I have registered my google account.
Please guys, help!
Do you have Verizon? I know in the Play store there is an app by Verizon to fix mobile data connection problems.
Sent from my DROID RAZR Maxx using XDA Premium
No, I have Tele2/Comviq, a Scandinavian operator.
However it seems that when I uninstalled the launcher it also cleared all my APN-settings. Which was.. A whole bunch that I manually entered. Oh well, guess that servers me right for not keeping a backup.
Will report this to the Launcher7 author, even though I doubt he'll do anything since its been a long time since last update.
So a few days ago my friend gave me his old phone -- a Motorola Devour. I was pretty happy about it, until i found out about Motoblur, and how until i fully disabled it it would just factory restore the phone every time I turned it off and back on. So then I went through a huge process trying to disable that and keep everything on restart, which I did. My question here, as you may have gathered from the title, is this: Is there a way to update the phone without having a service provider? The main reason I did all of this was to try and get some free wifi texting apps because I haven't had a way of communicating with some of my friends in a while, none of which I can find in the store, I'm assuming because the phone is out of date. Thanks in advance

I had to install a root, then go into the files and delete the thing that makes blur required to run the phone without factory resets every time it restarts.
Hello folks. Been lurking on the forums, grabbing what info and software and tips I needed for a couple years, but never had a need to post something. Now, the problem has been described already in the topic title, but I'll elaborate.
Somewhere in a period of 24-36 hours of being turned on continuously, my phone (a Sony Xperia Go with Cyanogenmod 11 running on it, but the problem was there before with stock rom too) needs to be rebooted, else I can't receive or send text messages or call. The text messages simply won't be sent and I don't get a waiting tone (or any sound for that matter) when I try to call and it'll eventually fail.
Now when I still used a stock rom, I'd see that I had lost network connection, but on the current Cyanogenmod build I still have full bars. This issue I then have to fix by rebooting my phone, as I stated. I have not tried setting it to airplane mode for a quick fix, but in all honesty, I'm looking for a permanent fix, not a temporary one. And this also seems to be an issue that isn't just with my type of phone.
I tried looking for a solution already several times, but all I could find that described my problem was this thread. I have not tried ordering a new sim card from T-Mobile yet, since that costs money over here in the Netherlands, and I wanted to make sure I had exhausted every possible software fix before trying to fiddle with hardware.
Hope this is enough information for you guys to at least tell me something. Even if it's "yup, you're boned."
Gentle bump. Apologies for doing so, but I'm fairly certain I'm not the only one with this problem.
I'm having this same issue. I'm running the latest stable build of CyanogenMod on Maguro (CM11/Snapshot7). I push my SMS's through Google Voice (using CM Voice+ which is now integrated into the systems menu). I didn't notice exactly when the problem started because I have Hangouts and SMS integrated in the Hangouts app, and chat with people using both all the time. I do know that The problem didn't start after a CM update, it happened in the middle of the day while the phone was on as far as I can tell. Since then I have tried clearing caches, updated to the newest nightly release, and so forth to no avail. Rather than rebooting, I can just turn on airplane mode and turn it off to get my SMSs, but still quite a bother.
Did OP figure this out?
Nope. I ended up having to get a new phone, as it was getting worse and worse, up to a point where I had to reset it every hour. I just assumed it was a hardware problem and got a new phone.
I did a factory reset / complete reinstall and still have the problem.
After the reset and recovery, I assumed it was a telephony issue and messed with the APN and data settings as much as I could, including checking and editing the default databases. No avail.
I uninstalled Google Voice and turned off Voice+ and SMS's began working with my SIM number. Bingo! So I started messing with Google settings. Log out, log in. Reinstall apps, etc. I eventually discovered that whenever I tried to clear the cache on my Google Play Services my Settings would crash. So i figured that I had a corrupted Google Play Services, which was preventing my phone from syncing with Google Servers except on reboot or connection refresh. I later realized that I should have been tipped off to this by the orange wifi/wireless icons in my Settings dropdown.
I couldn't uninstall or update Google Play Services so I just downloaded the latest version of CM GAPPS, cleared app and Dalvik caches, and flashed GAPPS into place.
Bing, bang boom... it still didn't work. Icons still orange, Google Play Services still crashes when I try to open it from Settings>Apps.
Not sure what to do next except maybe another factory reset, and instead of using Titanium Backup to restore, I will just load a fresh version of CM11 and not update it. ??
So for the past literally 3 mmonths, I have been unable to send a picture message, or do anything "data" wise (chrome, playstore, play music, games that require a connection) while "on 4G LTE.
The interesting thing is this...when I flash Jasmin or Skydragon, it works for about 30 minutes, then it NEVER works again once I disable data then turn on wifi, then reverse it. All I get on Chrome is "ERR Name not resolved".
Ive seen that this is a APN problem but I am unable to add one, and there is only one apn in the settings...does anybody have any idea how to fix this? I have unlimited data grandfathered in and I have been completely unable to use my phone outside of my house.
Any help is appreciated!
I understand I dont have signal in the screenshot...I had full bars at Kroger last night and was showing in amazement how I couldnt do anything but take pictures...lmao
Able to change APN in Cyanogenmod...
So I backed up my Skydragon rom, wiped everything off the phone, then flash Cyanogenmod 12 with Gapps and I have been able to get on the web and send MMS pictures ALL day even with toggling wifi/LTE and reboots...I also noticed that there is like 10 different APN's to choose from on Cyanogenmod AND I can MAKE a NEW one.
What gives?...
Ok...I lied. Getting error not resolved again...

I will guess it's a bad sim card. Call them and they may overnight one if they see you've used no data for three months, or stop into one of the dreaded Verizon stores and pick one up.
I completely wiped my phone before Installation of Cyanogenmod and had data for like an hour, and i completely wiped my phone again and reinstalled Jasmine, and i've had data for 2 hours now. I'm trying to test slowly where data quits connecting. It will SHOW 4G, full bars, but can't use it...it just says not connected to data and bla blah blah

Go check to ensure you have an IMEI number. If that is blank or all zeros, that could be the issue.
If so, getting a new sim card might fix it (just go into the VZW store and it should be free) but I would flash back to stock first or they will refuse to help you. Or you can restore it yourself manually. Or, if you're IMEI number is still there, then you'll still need to flash back to stock before going into VZW to get a new SIM card.
I've had it where I flashed back to stock using a TOT file and it wiped my IMEI number for some reason (the next time I did, it didn't wipe it so go figure).
Go to the following link (if you're IMEI number is wiped) to fix it. Hopefully, you still have your box the phone came in. Otherwise, you can remove the battery and find the number on a sticker in the battery compartment:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=58915450&postcount=3
In that post, I explain how to restore your IMEI number.
I found the fix.
Okay so they recommend after booting a rom to let it sit for 10 minutes. I found in my case that this does NOT work. After multiple testing scenarios and a few weeks I discovered I need to let my phone sit for 30 minutes. Thats phone wiped, Jasmine installed with mods and all the shebang, and after you hit reboot phone set a timer somewhere to NOT touch your phone for 30 minutes and Data has never failed me. Now it is ENTIRELY diffrrent from letting it set to 10 minutes. My family has 6 G3's and 3 of us would flash with a ten Minute sit, and 3 with a 30 minute sit and we had almost PERFECT results with this.
Im not expert but I think its not giving the phone enough time to call for apns for the phone anf since you cant ADD any, you S.O.L. until you fix it.
We usually have 2 bars of 4G where we live so I almost wonder if its because of that. But you think two bars would be enough in 10 minutes to grab the proper apns.
Once again, 6 phones. 3 different houses. All samr results.
Wasnt a bad sim card...wasnt a imei wipe. It was NOT enough time letting the rom sit.
