Hello all, I just bought a Samsung galaxy tab 10.1 from daily steals a while back. I bought a nice screen protector, didnt realize it was for the '2' until i received it, my question is, will it still fit?
I was looking for a type of case to protect my sgp 5.0 because I travel quite a lot. I have not been able to find a case anywhere in stores ( I know it is a very old device) and can somebody please tell me where to get a cheap but nice case. THANKS!

eBay or Amazon is probably be the best. eBay has flip like covers. Amazon barley has any cases, but i found one that i liked in Amazon for i think $15.

I'm not sure what you mean by fitted case but ebay has mostly TPU Gel (the very shiny ones) cases that are fitted. I was trying to find you the nillkin case but it seems that they don't either sale or make them anymore. To me it's the best fitted case. This case is the one I bought on Amazon. I love this case. For some reason, this case makes me Galaxy Player 5.0 look bigger lol. It rubbery grips along the side to grip your Galaxy Player.All buttons are easily accessible. Altho the holes for the headphone jack is a big to small. But my earphones (Galaxy S3 earphones) fit fine. You may need to cut to make the hole a little bigger. I can post pictures of all the sides if you want. People posted pictures on Amazon and one of them is the bottom which has the slightly off center hole for the headphone jack.

Tpu-gel - good deal
I already bought one of those TPU-gel cases at e-bay, i choosed the blue color, came through regular mail to Brazil, took about 2 months to arrive...
But it's a really good deal, where i live the stores are charging about $24 each..

We need alternatives. I personally think the leather effect sounds a bit tacky, especially the stitching (is the stitching real, or is that imprinted as with the leather effect)
I don't want a case (my Galaxy Nexus is looking a bit scratched, but not noticeably so), I just want a plain back like the Galaxy Nexus (or even better, the Nexus 10)

I ended up getting the below. was about 20USD including shipping to me
I also got the below but I got the 3x value pack for 15-20USD including shipping to me. keeping in mind I live in New Zealand so shipping is always the dearest for me compared to rest of world
I'll be happy when these 2 arrive, and hopefully before my note 3, last time I recieved my note 2 before my screen protector, I ended up having that overally large plastic crap with the flap at the end (that it comes on with) for a week lol...
I've always been a fan of spigen, their screen protectors are perfect, it fits around everything with no gaps, unlike some protectors where they get to the home button then just drop vertically down, which means below the home button is open to elements... same with near the front camera etc, above it is open to elements... on other screen protectors I've noticed.

I have ordered the spigen ultra crystal and hybrid case too. But I'm not going to keep my hopes up since the stated shipping date is going to be late September and arriving date is mid October. I think I might get the phone before them come. That's why I bought a cheap tpu from eBay also hopefully to cover it before the two arrives from spigen.

I'm pretty sure that's a guaranteed, that you will be able to replace the current once for something else.

Cool case. Sorry you missed out on the Spigen screen protector promo on Amazon.com they had a (4) pack for $1 for a few hours and I ordered (2) of them along with a Glas.tR Slim. I figure its always better to have spares on hand.
yeah just missed out, still though, that price is better than their website price xD

no they will not the Note III is slimmer and a little taller slightly larger screen.

Unique mobiles are having a sale. Samsung phone batteries are at $10, and the S-View cover for the Note 3 is at $25.
I am going to forego the S-View cover myself because it may rub off the olephobic (sp?) coating and leave a mark, BTW:

are the s-view covers generic or the real deal samsung ones? I got a s4 flip case from them and it was a generic/fake one.
I must say I purchased a note 2 phone from them last year and it was great. Quick postage

I got my 12.2 this afternoon. So far so good but now it is time to get a good case, having that big screen unprotected is leaving me nervous.
Anyone having good recommendations?
Tab was pricey but came with a 64gb card and 6 months of Netflix free.
I haven't had much time with it but let me know if you have questions. This is my first tab (of any kind) but I've used Andis for a long time and have a rooted Note 2.

It doesn't look like the cases from Samsung are out yet, and are only for pre-order at the mo. Also I don't see much in the way of 3rd party yet. It's great to have a bleeding edge device but it sucks to wait for everything like cases, root, etc..

I'm not fully sure I will adapt to the size or if I need a tablet at all, so something tells me I might end up selling it in two or three days. That will definitely be a needless loss of money, but sometimes there's no way to know until you experiment.

try getting a BT keyboard and mouse, it might make things better, I guess..
If you search eBay there are a ton of cases for around $20. However, when I pick mine 12.2 up on Sunday I will be getting the Zagg Cover-fit bluetooth keyboard case. (link) I've had the original tab since day 1, almost 3 years ago, and I've been using the Logitec bluetooth case that is very similar to the Zagg case in the link. I literally have about 7 cases for my original tab at home that I've collected over the years but have only used the keyboard/case exclusively since I got it.
The Zagg is $100, which is what the Logitech cost at launch (I got it later on clearance for $15), but it's worth every penny.
Picked up an 8.4 yesterday and it's fantastic. Literally only the Belkin case is available immediately so I passed on that. I paid 50 for the Samsung Book case on their site...it appears to be available now, so hopefully it gets here quick. Toddler in the house!
Now we just gotta get these things rooted and unlocked with a form of stock Android. Magazine UX is terrible.
I'm waiting on the Tab pro to come out, but after using the poetic slimline case on my N7, I'll be looking at something like this http://www.amazon.com/Series-Samsun..._sim_pc_4?ie=UTF8&refRID=10YW9X29YEQEN39KKBS8. By mid-March, more cases may be around for 12.2.

The Moko Samsung Galaxy Note PRO & Tab PRO 12.2 Case.
It's cheap, but feels sturdy and nice materials. It has magnetic closure that turns off the screen of my Tab Pro 12.2 when I close the case. It props up nicely. The only minor issues I have are the pen holder is cheap stretchy material and is badly located and the case has a cheap elastic strap designed to help keep it closed. I don't use the strap. I may cut it off, but it's not intrusive.
