Hey Guys ...
Ive tested each of the following ROMs for smoothness , speed , battery life , and bugs(if any) on my mango (mini pro)
i use my fone mostly for browsing, watching videos, messaging, using facebook, whatsapp, viber, skype etc at the same time... i dont play games at all!
Ive used MESA Kernel cos it gives better Battery life so ive started testing with that
ive used smartass v2 governor, and noop i/o scheduler... max freq- 1.018 and min freq- 134.
please press thanks on the individual review post if you think it accurately describes the ROM, that way we can judge the accuracy of the reviews. if your experience with the ROM was any different, please write about it and i will be more careful while testing any future updates. Thank You for your feedback

rage kernel suits with all
XMP rules!!!
in my test:
MESA Kernel: slow boot in XMP (about 1-2 minutes in sony ericsson logo), but is the only problem (i use it actually, for me is the best battery saver with good performance)
Rage kernel: if you dont like slow boot or other bugs is your best option
Kernel Panic: works well, has KSM (i dont see any diference in ram use) and other unique features, but... it has CWM 6 and is buggy (especially with aroma installers and usb mount) and applications like cpu spy doesnt work properly :S
Extended Stock kernel: is the same as stock kernel...
Mesa all tha way.........
thanks for ur feedback ppl
im gonna try MESA coz i really need battery life ! ill see whether the bugs are bearable .. otherwise ill switch to Rage !
Gnna start testing Real ICS lite with MESA !

Real ICS Lite r4 reviewed
ok so m done using real ICS lite r4
it is a very smooth and fast ROM ! noticed very very few lags n stutters. its always lags a little when u move really fast in the gallery. but no1 really moves that fast so that dosent matter.. also sometimes the icons on the widget take a sec to load when u press the home button .. they load up quite fast so its not that irritating. but if u hav too many widgets it myt take a lil more tym i guess. din find any major bugs ...usb otg works fine. this is faster than the AOSP ROM i was using earlier!!
the ROM has a the Xperia launcher with corners and it looks really good (though we cant see the corners in landscape).. its fast and responsive. notification panel has quick seetings and a brightnes slider too. u can choose to install sony apps while flashing through aroma installer (very noob friendly). though i wish
the details of each option were mentioned in the ROMS post so that i kno what im choosing (screenshots).. for example if i knew that the walkman bootanimation had sound along with it i woudnt have chosen it,..
charged the phone to 100% and didnt touch it from 11pm to 5 am .. and the batter came down to 94% ...thats 1% per hour. but on moderate usage through out the day the battery gave up at 7 30 pm ...
on the 2nd day of testin battery lasted from 9 30 pm to 3 30 pm the next day...fone was connected to wifi 65% of the time and on 2g for the rest
the battery life is pretty good i guess... can only say after i chek the other ROMs out as well
i just tested temple run n it runs super smooth with no lag at all...
quadrant : 1429
antutu : 3491
U can test out the ROM urself and dont forget to thank the developer kobzar666 !

So,
I've already tried out a few ROMs (CM9, MIUI JB, AOSP JB, AOKP B4).
I was very happy with CM9 - it had many features, was stable and also smooth. But it got after awhile a bit laggy.
Then I decided to go on MIUI JB. At the beginning it was the best i ever had, but then it was laggy as hell (even with overtakting) and unuseble.
I was very very happy with AOSP JB - cleanest and fastest ROM I've tried so far. Bugs and the less features told me to switch AOKP.
AOKP is good, but not as good at the rest. It's sometimes unstable and the booting time is just way too long.
I dont need thousands of features, but what I need are the notification switches (so important for my daily life!)
Any recommendations to me? And ofc, it must be FAST and STABLE.

Jelly sandwich 7.4 very fast and stable, but why post a new thread if you ask it in GENERAL CHAT ?? and thread is already excist, but better test it by your own instead keep asking, not everyone have test all roms, so its way easier if you test it by your own mate

You must be mistaken me with someone else. And the other threads I found are not really up-to-date and ROM-developing is very fast nowadays so I cant test them all... and that's why I aked.
I'll try out PAC and Jelly Sandwich or Ultimate HD
But I dont like to have too many features... Simple and clean is the best :good:
I have Tried so many ROMs so far but I came back to Stock ics .587 with Night-elf 1.5 kernel+ Holo camera also few other tweaks and I am fine with it. I really love stock Rom and with a few mod its the best for me.
I tried several ROMs:
*Stock ICS from Sony (two days)
*Spacious Smooth & Light ICS (four weeks)
*Icecream Pureness Build 13 (several days)
* JellySandwich 6.2.5, 7.3 and 7.4 (as of the middle of October)
So far JellySandwich 6.2.5 is the fastest I ever tested and worth a try. Some bugs though: No LED notification 2G-toggle-bug and "Xperia Home has stopped"-bug. But these don't count very much, everything else is running fine!
It's even faster than 7.3 and 7.4! These versions do not seem to be stable yet...

Bro I have added a fix in the first post for the led bug in my JS thread!
Sent from my Neo V using tapatalk 2
@Dev: Yeah, I read that, it's the link under "v4.5 Base..." right? Well, this patch dismisses my reboot-option in the standby-menu. If that is the only problem I will give it another try. Is there something else I should know that could be messed up after applying this patch?
Then I wanted to use your new "Xperia Home"-patch. Unfortunately the link sends me to the "Mediafire" homepage. Maybe you could fix that link or send me the correct URL. I would like to eliminate that bug too.
Well, as I already said, the ROM is great, Bro! :highfive: Thanks for that! And it's even a port, right!? Crazy...

Try PAC rom....u will never want to change...!!!!awsmmm feeling of tablet, phablet, notification toggle like you want...!!!
All roms are good because there is a lot of effort on every individual roms.
You don't have to search best rom you may fall in to conclusion.
day by day every Rom is keeps on improving. Devs are doing every bit of best. We are not suppose to say this is the best or that. every rom has its own good feature.
choose a Rom which suits you best it depends on how you use daily basis and how it attracts you..
I thanks to all devs who are giving us free custom Roms which we have not asked for it.. So far I just say they all or best keep it up...

@Dev, I am a noob. Having Neo V running .587 rooted & with locked bootloader. Used x-parts to install cwm and then installed Jelly Sandwitch rom. It was a success but after rebooting stuck at Sony logo. Could not go to recovery when I tried booting the phone again (I had to remove battery to switch off). After reading the steps once again, I find that probably I missed "Flash kernel modules via cwm". If that is true, how it is to be done? x-part has no such option and rom manager did not do that? Pl help.

Rooting as such won't help get rid of Lag ! But rooting gives you the gateway to flash custom Roms and get rid of the lag you have no stock Rom!
Take a read of the sticky threads in dev section and general!
Then you can proceed and incase you get stuck up,you can always ask!

Try to install the latest version as it improved the power management... I used SEEDER to reduce lag of my note 2 (actually I just want to make sure it performs the best speed without lag, without using it my phone works fine). :-
For the battery drain issue, I used One Power Guard, which I tested before, it does reduce the power usage (Got a very good result during deep sleep, and daily usage... usually without using it, my battery drains at least 7% after whole night, while using it, my battery only drains about 3% the most!)
TRY AGAIN (IF IT DOESN'T WORK FOR YOU I AM SO SORRY...)
MY BEST RECOMMENDATION IS FLASH A CUSTOM ROM (less bloatwares and tweeked for maximum performance) AND CUSTOM KERNEL (better RAM management and other stuffs which will help to improve stability of your phone, including battery saving). DO SOME UNDERVOLTING... IT WILL HELP...

I'm on stock .631, I experienced this too, IMHO seeder doesn't helps on my side still i noticed lags and slowdowns in the phone.
You know what i did? flash a custom Kernel(i had the BL unlocked), the tigris kernel by bootbu9, flash the the latest adreno libs(thank you Saingpor for helping me :highfive: ) and remove bloatwares. Now the phone seems fluid and responsive, no more lags maybe just a little bit but not always the same as before, since i use my phone normally(no games) I just OC at 245min and 1018max with smartassv2 governor and NOOP scheduler. Now my phone operates as i wanted it to be.
I have installed betterbatterystats, system panel, cpu cpy app to monitor the phones power usage. Battery and standby varies, it mainly depends on how the user uses the phone, apps installed on it so for me IMHO there is no such thing as battery saver app(sometimes they only just cause wakelocks on my experience). Just do the basics, manually switch off wifi, BT when not in use, adjust the brightness(i uncheck the adapt to lighting conditions - light sensor), turn on airplane mode if you want to keep your phone away or simply turn the phone off if you really want to save power, Turn off 3g and or background data if its not neccessry, etc. In this way you really can save your phones battery power.

Go for jellybean roms.. You need not flash any drivers, u don't need seeder, u don't need to debloat.. Development for xperia play is very good at this moment.. Our Neo L is similar to play... So almost all roms of play work on our mobile.. The development for Neo L is also good... Currently I am on racing cm10.. It's based on cm10.. Rom is so amazing... Trust me, u ll love cm10.. Plus u have an advantage of themes... These themes ll transform ur phone to any look u desire.. I have used MIUIv5, sense5,motorola UI, Ubuntu UI and many more...

Yes, 480p on Jelly Bean.
That's the ONLY reason why I'm still on ICS...

It's not a question, but a suggestion: Do you put in your rom a launcher named XL. I found it on Zelly Cream rom (in aroma select moded xperia z launcher with compatibily widgets... i think) Ask Gagan.u20 permission to use this, its very awesome. Another suggestion, update the Ac!d Engine to v7.0. It's very stable, look in the thread of them. That's it hehehehe.
Ohhhhhh, another thing, keep your hard work, this rom is amazing, and sorry for poor english, I'm learning this one now

Feature clarification
Hi,
Firt of all appreciate your hardwork for coming up with a new ROM!!
Got some queries on the features or I am looking for a ROM with
1.On screen buttons(home key,back key ,menu ..)
2.Atleast free RAM of 150Mb(Zelly Cream have only hardly 90 MB free ram with my use)
3.Stable Bluetooth(for me,Ultimate HD,BT is ending up with a Boot)
4.Notification light working for atleast for missed calls and unread SMS.(I find the new ZellyCream 2.5 not having the missed SMS)
Just want to confrm these features with you.

Some Probs
So first of all, i'd like to ask, if installing only this ROM (without any kernels, and other adds) may cause fc in many apps(one of them is GO SMS, Opera Mobile, AccuWeather widget doesn't work properly also(but i haven't tested it on another ROM so let's say it's not a problem)).
Another problem is, the ROM isn't as fast as people say(surely not for me) I was on jelly sandwich, which was faster(but had less cool options).
And there's also another prob, with SMS this time, sometimes when someone send me a sms the phone don't get it, it has to be sent twice, last few days it cause me many problems, before it happened like 1 time a week, now it happens 10 times a day. I dunno if it's problem of this ROM, cuz i heard it happens on different phones, and of course different roms, but wondered if anybody here know a solution for Neo V, or just this ROM.
What may i install to improve the smoothness of the ROM and solve other problems?

First of all, the sms part.. Its not a rom issue.. Thats related to network.. And about fc, no there is no fc on opera mini.. Go sms and wheather widget not tested yet.. Just try re-installing the apps if you are finding any problem with them.., If you are facing lags in launcher then thats an issue I know and I am going to fix it in the next update.. Just tell me places where you are finding lags.. ??
Uninstall go sms and then see.. Your sms problems may be because of that.. Give it try..
And yes today I am coming with the 2nd update of build.prop.. You can check it.. It will surely improve your interface..

Uaage experience with ROM...
Hi,
Used your rom for a day and below given is my expereince.
1.Overall good packaging
2.It's definitly fast
3.RAM availability is impressive(with Tasker,Swype and lot of widgts..) still runs at 140Mb available!!
Bug.
1.Not sure it's my problem alone, with connecting with Bluetooth, I was facing getting stuck and eventually a reboot.
Faced the same issues with UltimateHD rom and pribably with Icrecream Pureness- So if it is something which you are re-using it ,it may be quite obvious.
2.I use ADW launcher. So not sure it's combo problem- I don't see the "recent task" soft button most of the time. But when I click on the place the tasks ae getting listed out for sure!!!
Wish list.
1.As you mentioned I guess you are working on associating the boot menu(reboot + CWM recovery) to be associated witht the Power button.
2.Do you want to consider the possibily of including Xperia JB font?
THANKX again...

im sure only time will tell because the first few days on .154 and .110 were a breeze and after that, its when the real pain started. Missing too many calls coz of this. I really hope they have addressed this issue.
