Help! installing games bigger than the internal storage - Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro

I have a Samsung Galaxy win and it was already rooted. Now i think a have the china or taiwan version of Galaxy win because the internal storage is only 1.48 GB
now i can't install games that requires more than the available size of my internal storage. for example need for speed most wanted. whenever i install the game it says
"Insufficient Memory
1960 MB is required for your game insert or clear space on your sd
memory card to begin download"
the good thing is again, my grand quattro is rooted and i have 16 gb micro sd external storage.
Please help me "Knowledgeable ones" to find a way to install the game like need for speed most wanted in my samsung galaxy grand quattro with only 1.48 GB available storage.......
i really really really thank you in advance for your help.

i already have gl2sd in my win. but what i know is that it transfer the whole data of the game from the internal to external storage.
but how can i move the internal data if the game doesn't let me to install the game in the first place....
but i already somehow managed to know a little bit about this. and that is to download an apk + data...
install the apk, transfer the data to external storage and just use supermount to mount the external and the internal storage.
i don't want to pirate but i don't have a choice... im sorry.
any way my other question is. what other samsung galaxy unit games that are compatible with samsung grand quattro?. because its hard to find a game specifically to grand quattro in terms of finding it on the other way....

Dont need to pirate, just download game data from any other source and put it in folder of ext sd card according to gl2sd and install apk and n mount data in gl2sd and open the game.

Asphalt7,8 nfs hp, nfs mw, dark night rises, mc4, cod, nova, amazing spider man, fifa14, real boxing, pvz2... these games are working fine on quattro. In some games a bit graphics prob but tje gameplay is smooth and no lag at all. And some games are not officially supported for quattro so there are no other choice than downloading from other sources.

This is not working as after swaping both internal and external memory size showing same as it was before in internal sd card. So directry binder or gl2sd or folder mount is good option.

If you still didnt find a solution, see this guide, works for every android if you have SD card large enough and you know your internal and external sd card paths
click thanx if I helped you

This tutorial works for me, but after reset the cards won't get changed just open the external to internal app and tap the button External>Internal again.

hi i know this is abit out dated but Mostwanted just went on sale for 20c in AU and after installing it on my rooted J1 ACE 4G (900mb left on internal + 10GB on SD) which i applied the SDCARD fix for KITKAT and having enough money left from Google Surveys ($3.10) to buy Most Wanted and LINK2SD PLUS (to copy obb and apps to sd card like Fallout shelter and terraria)
when i launch Most Wanted it loads the downloading phase and says:
"Insufficient Memory: 2055MB is required for your game, but only 0MB storage available on your
device. clear space on your device to begin download.
now thats wrong i have 900mb left on my device, how do i fix this. and i cant find a working obb for v1.3.69 of this game

Whoopsie Whoopsie !!
Easiest way is to have a rooted device, and install foldermount android app
Follow the instruction as per app, Simple 2-3 clicks process and enjoy games and apps of larger size way beyond your imagination. Always worked for me. Ext2sd and blah blah apps are waste.

[Q] Link2SD installed but still get Low Internal Memory??

New here so please tell me if this is in the wrong forum.
I have a Acer Liquid Metal on 2.3.6. I have a custom ROM T&L. It came preinstalled with Link2SD. I like to try lots of apps and this problem seems to be haunting me. I reset my phone on the 26th Dec as it was so annoying. I think I have set up Link2SD correctly. I have a 4gb SD with 1gb as ext2. Please see the screen shots attached.
If I have Link2SD, why do I still have a problem with low internal storage?? I have had to remove some app's but the internal storage always gets lower.
Have I set Link2SD up correctly? How can I resolve this problem?
If you need anything further please let me know.
Thanks,
Matt
I have the same problem
Same issue no one help me... even if i link all my apps still internal memory get low....
Even with Link2SD, a part of apps stay on the main RAM, I think there is no solution to that

Hey all of you are getting confuse, this is the solution and it was already mention but maybe you get confuse... Using link2sd...link all your apps as normal, probably after a couple installations you will get low memory, but how is that possible... well..
Just download ANDROID TERMINAL EMULATOR from Market and install it(you must be ROOTED to use it).
Now just TYPE in Terminal:
su
a2sd cachesdreset
After this your device will reboot and you will get a lot of space on your phone... probably link2sd should add this feature on new version but IF not this will works ( i believe that some info stay on phone and link2sd can't see it but phone will keep showing it even if that is garbage or already move to the 2nd partition on your phone just do does command and that is... after that you will love link2sd and will never go back or use app2sd....
Tested By Me... On my Galaxy Ace

I have the same problem. Is it solved???
Hi Guys,
I own Samsung Galaxy Y Duos S6102. Its internal storage is approximately 180Mb. I have rooted the phone and increased my storage to 1Gb using Link2SD.
Now, i have installed around 25 apps and i link them all using Create Link and checking on all 3 checkboxes. Still, my internal storage is getting low. Now i cannot install any apps as the internal storage has become less than 25Mb
When i see the storage info from Link2SD it shows 650Mb free out of the 1Gb partition that i created.
I tried the solution posted above but could not do it. If it helps please be more descriptive
Thank You

an easy way to gain at least 40 mb of internal storage on this phone:
open dialler, dial *#9900#
and then select 'copy to sd card'
results vary but it did help me to regain about 40 mb the first time i tried it
Use ram booster as well as delete all the cache and try to install mount2sd better than link to sd I hope it will help you

[Need Help :( ] Link2Sd and Ram issue

Lnk2Sd issue
alright so i rooted my Lg optimus L3 and removed all the bloatware and Google apps crap.
anyways, now of coarse i need to get a program to move the apps to the external SD card so i picked Link2Sd as many people prefer it as it moves apps to external card but here is the issue : Link2SD doesn't move the data files of an application to the external !
let me explain why it would be a problem : lets say i downloaded the GTA 3 game which is 300mb and put it on the SD card , only the .apk file will be linked with Link2SD but the data files will still be remained inside the internal memory so it takes a lot of space ...
so you are gonna tell me : put the data files in the FAT32 part because its gonna be big .. but will the .apk play if i used directory bind to move the data files and then Link the .apk using Link2SD ?
please i need explanation on how to move the .apk file normally with link2sd and then put the data files of it in the extrenal card because i didn't understand the portioning part knowing that i need big space like 4Gb for my big-spaced games like Game loft
RAM Issue
alright since i deleted the bloatware and Google apps there must be a good quantity of free RAM right?
well, i get only 135~145 MB of free ram while the rest is used =165MB ... so where is the rest and why do i have so little Ram or is that normal ?
thanks a lot and sorry for the long post

[Q] Insufficient storage available

Hello everyone,
This is my first post here. I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace 5830i and today I bought a new SD card because the old one was crap. I had this problem before, I have it now. When I try to download an application from the Android Market, there is always this error ''There is unsufficient storage available''. I checked and I had 23 free MB of Device memory and 1.8 GB free on my SD card. I read a lot of articles about this problem and tried many ''solutions'' and nothing fixed it. I will be really, really thankful if anyone can help me fix this. Cheers :good:

You can always use scripts to increase the memory like CronMod Unofficial. But the problem with scripts is that it lags after you install some apps. This is because your ext partition is mounted as the /data mount point and SD Card read /write operations are slower than internal memory read/ write operations. So I suggest you use Link2SD Extreme which lags less compared to other scripts. Link2SD places the app link locations in the internal memory and corresponding data in the ext partition. Since the links are in the internal memory, it will be much faster. All you need is a rooted phone, rom with init.d support (all custom roms have one) and ext partition on SD Card (Go to CWM> Advanced> Partition SD Card> Size (1GB)> Swap(0MB) wait for "Partitioning Done!" message). Make sure to do the setup right. If you created the ext partition using CWM, choose ext3 as the partition type from Link2SD pop-up. Only if that doesn't work go with ext2 or then ext4. Here is the link,
Link2SD Extreme
Try to implement this is a newly flashed rom with newly created ext partition. Hope I Helped

I am not able to play games due to this low storage error
Sent from my Moto E using XDA mobile app
Go to Settings>Storage and see what is taking more Memory and see the misc and cache option and move your audio, pictures, videos to sd card.If this not help you should do a factory reset..
I already moved my apps and media to sd card..can i move my game sd data to memory card???

it occupies 1.5 gb of internal storage and the data cannot be moved to sd and that is the reason for full storage issue..if u uninstall it then u'l get full storage.and if you want that game and storage too then you have to root your phone...
I watched a youtube video...A guy had asphalt 8+subway surf+2-3 more games in his unrooted moto e still his internal storage was not full

Yes the phone supports Hindi script. Just download Hindi keyboard from play store works fine for me.
How much storage should the Moto E have from a factory reset? I've had low storage errors already and I have no games installed. I have Pocket casts set to external SD, Deezer caching to external SD and I have just a handful of other apps - Tweetings, Flickr, WhatsApp, HSBC and a few other small apps - yet I currently have just 707MB free. I'm not sure if this is normal. I tried to use Plants VS Zombies but that is just large enough to prevent many updates installing. I do wish Moto had added just a little bit more storage.
If I use an Apps To SD method will this kill off my SD card quite rapidly? I've always though that they weren't designed to be used for anything but general storage.
general usable storage size is approx 2.2 GB on internal memory.
From my perspective App2SD is safe because it only moves 'statical' files such as .apk (the app), .so (libs), .dex (dalvik-translation). Once those files have been generated they won't be altered. So future handling of those files only is read access and not write access.
So I do not really see any threat for ageing of SD-Card.
I am using Moto E from last 6months, day before yesterday I update my Moto E to Lolipop. But from that day m facing internal memory, m using only Whatsapp Share it and M-indicator thats it. But now m not able to download Facebook app, because when I try to install facebook app from playstore 1 pop up window shows on my screen that insufficient memory. So I deleted all the images videos etc from my mobile still same problem m facing... Please help.

Installing very large games

I rooted my phone yesterday and installed foldermount so i can store large games on SD card. It's working fine with apps less than 500mb because i only have 500mb available in SD card. First I have to download the big games into internal, then move them to Sd card using foldermount to free up space in internal memory.
However, i cannot do so with very large games like Asphalt 8 because i don't have 1.5 gb free space in the first place. Please give me some advice.
Download asphalt 8 data, apk from sites like http://onhax.net/asphalt-8-airborne-apk or something else(you can get many sites by searching in google)
then proceed same way you did before..

In my opinion Link2SD is the best app to solve the problem of low internal memory, it works great for me. Take a high speed class SD card and create two partitions (FAT32 and EXT4) using Minitool Partition WIzard or Gparted if you use Linux. And then download and install Link2SD from PlayStore. Run the app and link everything to SDCARD (ext4 partition). I advice you to buy the plus version because it allows to link the internal data too, so more free memory.
About the installation of large games like Asphalt. Well, Link2Sd allows to link the game (or any app) automatically on SdCard once you finished to install it from PlayStore. Just go on the settings and select "auto link".
There's a good video on youtube on how to use the app. Just search: "How to use link2sd to move apps to 2nd partition(SD card)"
Of course other videos are great too, but this is one of the best imho

Thanks for the reply. Thing is, i can't install asphalt 8 from play store in the first place because it needs 1.4 Gb and i only have 500mb free internal memory. I need a way to download it directly to the linked folder in SD card.
I also tried downloading apk and obb, but still I have to first copy the large obb in internal memory, then link it to SD card, which is not possible due to low internal memory.
Install xposed and xinternalSD, he download data/obb automatically to the sd, and use Link2SD to link all applications. I use these methods, and I have 1.37 GB free memory. but I have apps 2,8GB.
I made a video teaching how to configure xinternalsd in kitkat, but is the same configuration in Lollipop: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQ-SeWG3dVQ

Btw you're right, because at this point it's even impossible to download the game from PlayStore. Well, I think the only way is to remove all the bloatwares and apps you don't use. And through Link2SD link all the installed apps you can to SD. Once you have more free space and you reached about 1.5gb try to install the game (and link it to sd). You can also consider to try a custom rom if you are not using it, generally speaking it has more free space than stock rom.

I'm not sure I'm ready to mess with custom recovery and Xposed modules right now, but it sure seems like it's the solution i need. Ok, I installed link2sd, partitioned my SD card and sent ALL my downloaded apps to the partition in SD card. I now have 1.3 GB free in my internal, but to download asphalt 8, I need 1.6 GB free.

I uninstalled some pre-installed apps, still I didn't have enough space. So, i dug around the internet some more and finally found the solution!
You can actually use foldermount to install large obb files DIRECTLY INTO SD CARD instead of just moving them from internal to SD card. Link2SD only allows us to move from internal to SD, but foldermount did the trick!
However, Link2SD allows me to transfer Apk, Dex, Lib and internal files as well, so I guess I'm keeping them both! Thanks again for recommending Link2Sd for me.
I haven't tested with Asphalt 8 yet, but it works with NFS Most Wanted, wich is over 2GB in size.

Yeah FolderMount is good too. It depends on what we have to do. I'm currently using Link2sd because it works great for me but other solutions (like the one proposed by brundark) are always welcome. By the way I'm glad you solved the issue
For asphalt 8 download the game from pc or on ur friends or family member's phone..who have more inbuilt memory..then transfer the obb & apk to ur sd card..n install apk n place the obb accordingly. will work like charm.
n regarding how to run obb files from sd card..just download "obb to sd " from xposed.. app in KB size.. so u dont have to install folder mouny n do evetything manually..this module does everything on its own.. i play big Gameloft n EA games easily.

Thanks for the help, but I'm sticking with foldermount now, since size isn't my biggest issue. I'm also new to these stuff, so I'll save Xposed for later. I don't really feel like trying everything at once, and theres so many things to try out there!(I haven't even flashed a custom rom yet)
