Hey guys! Can we port desire hd roms? It has got almost same specs as that of desire x (just it has single core adreno 205).. else everything's same. Desire hd has got bunches of custom roms...
It has cyanogenmod 11,android 4.4 kitkat etc.
There is a rapid development of roms in desire hd...!
Can't it be ported easily?

Requirements

-Generally JB AOSP-based ROM installed. It can be any - AOKP, CM, Liquid Smooth, whatever what is not HTC stock-based
-Custom Recovery (tested on TWRP and recommended)
-Working brain
How to use =Ultimate ROM Tool==?
1. Download the Tool from the thread
2. Place it on SD Card (internal storage - we have One X )
3. Boot into Recovery
4. Select the Tool to be installed
5. Follow the instructions
6. Reboot
7. Rate the thread 5-star and click "thanks"

Wouldn't it be better to move this thread to the One X+ Original Android Development if it's only for AOSP-based JB roms?
I will bet that in every second post someone will ask if it's working in rom xy

If you go to this link they have an almost fully working 4.2.2 stock rom the only thing that isnt working is camera. Go to page 114 to 116 to find the link.

If you indeed want to have 4.1, go to first post of the thread waza97 mentioned and you'll get an almost fully working (besides some bugs, look into thread for details) 4.1.2 port of CM.
If CyannogenMod is not to your taste, I have made AOKP and Paranoid Android Roms (Both Based off AOSP 4.1.2) available at these links :laugh: :

Just on the note of that, if anyone is still interested, I offer a SlimBean rom. Its AOSP (NOT CM!) based, with a lot of the crap removed :laugh:

I'm very interested in ROM with working camera :laugh: Tried Fozzy's and AOSP 4.1 – very nice! ROMs, but camera very soon get «not connected» until reboot…

Concerning the Sense 6 Rom, it will not be available as we have an S-On device which won't permit us to do so. However thanks to the great work of the developers they were able to port blinkfeed launcher itself to all the devices. I made a thread on how to do so which you can find in the general section : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2710758
All you need to do is flash a 4.4 kitkat rom (like carbon rom or others) and simply follow the guide.

There is no lollipop update for Desire 610, and here http://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-610/development/rom-slim-a3ul-4-4-4-build-9-0-t3149308 is 4.4.4 rom, search doesn't hurt

Slimrom in the development thead here is 4.4.4 but has some bugs, Other than that we don't have anything but stock 4,4,2.

Why don't you guys port cm11 from the desire 510 and place it in the 610 the phones are actually really similar,frameworks and hardware,IT COULD WORK (key words) JUST SAYIN (another bunch of key words)[emoji3] ? and if you guys do decide to do that and end up bricking the device don get mad at me it was a suggestion.

You can't just port cm over stock htc you have to build from source. I'm still trying (when I can spare a bit of time) to build cm11 from source and have looked at desire 510 (and others) device trees as reference. Thing is, I'm no dev (just learning as I go) and don't have a lot of spare time. I've probably put in at least 40-50hrs over the last year and actually think I'm getting close to having something usable. Just have to wait and see.
