No thread for i527 why? - Samsung Galaxy Mega

I am very sure it has been brought up in the i527's infancy, but it is now 3 or 4 months old. So why is it there is no forum designated specifically for the i527?

I belive stuff that works on the i920x works on i527/527M as well I am currently running CM11 that was made on an i920x device as well as my recovery is from there as well
**EDIT** seems I am wrong the i527(ATT version) has a unique boot loader my apologies

I appreciate it but AT&T is different and there is a bootloader issue. But it is the sifting through all the other versions of this device that makes it difficult. If you ask me, it is also inviting the person who is categorized as the newbie to flash incompatible files and brick their devices. I know better, but it is still possible. Who is to say someone labels something wrong. All it takes is one to blurt out, "hey, this will work on Joe Blows phone", and its all over.

For sure just after I posted here I noticed the talk about boot loader.....theres too many different damn models of the same phone its brutal there should be just one model of each phone and be done with it no confusion no compatability issues or anything but I guess that would make it too easy for us lol

I think the i527 got root, right?
You could try to install the the recovery image with terminal commands
su
dd if=<path to recovery img> of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/recovery
reboot recovery
if everything worked well, flash cm

Glad to see another NOTE 1 user over in the Mega forum... I think we are all hoping that if we get the bootloader issue fixed and start getting some development going, we might see a dedicated forum.

typ in
ls -l /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name
or download partition table from play store and gimme some screenshots in advanced menu
and did you typ in the correct path to recovery image?

It installs but puts me back into 3e recovery.
Edit: but this is an improvement. Before, when I tried ti flash TWRP, it would tell me I had "unauthorized software installed. Turn off phone and take it to the nearest ATT Store".
