[Q] Xperia Go ST27i CWM SDcard mount position - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hi
I have CWM v6.0.1.2 installed on my Xperia Go. The issue is that I am unable to select the zip file from the SD card. The mount point for /sdcard is the internal storage sdcard0. As the phones sdcard mount point is sdcard1. Perhaps this issue as due to the fact that initially i installed CWM without an memory card. Have tried wiping the phones internal memory as well as hard reseting the phone. CWM has been reinstalled many times. Still the same issue persists.
Currenlty running Xperias rooted stock JB 4.1.2 (6.2.A.1.100) with unlocked bootloader.
Would be great to get this sorted out

Hi there mate,
Quick question, hope you can help me. I've also got the same version as you but having the same issue with CWM. Please could you let me know how you managed to install a different version of CWM? Thanks in advance!
update: Was it by any chance this way http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1948455 if so, how did you manage to uninstall the current CWM? Was it with Odin? Currently my ROM manager tells me I'm using version CWM 5.x.x.x but don't think this is right... looking forward to any assistance, thank you!
Kind regards
B

Ok, I'm guessing it's probably better to just completely wipe this thing, put ICS on and chuck CWM on it that way then flash on jelly bean again? I seem to remember that somewhere being explained (installing CWM without issue via ICS on the Xperia Go) if correct.
I'll wait a couple days more though for anyones feedback on previous asked question, would be nice not to need to wipe it all but...
Thanks.

Internal/External Sd Card Issues HTC Rezound

I unlocked my bootloader, rooted, installed amon ra recovery, have flashed a couple different roms. This morning i flashed scott's cleanrom 4.0 booted up everything seemed to be looking fine. However i went to look in my gallery for photos and it just pops up the screen sd card unmounted. So i went to setting storage and clicked mount sd card and it says preparing sd card, but doesnt do anything. So then i looked in the file system. under /sdcard it says sd card empty mounted or unpresent. sdcard2 isnt even a file system (not positive its supposed to be) so basically i only have access to the RAM i think? ive rebooted, factory reset, id try flashing a new rom, but i cant mount the darn cards on the computer to flash a new rom (maybe i could do this from cmd with fastboot or something?) ive thought about trying to format the sd cards but im not sure how to do this especially since the internal one is also having troubles.
I would really appreciate help on this as i cant hardly do anything on this besides texts and phone calls right now!
Thanks for any help

Well, when you say you flashed a couple of roms.. the only rom at the time that would work with the new base was the stock rom that came with the RUU. Scott , then had the first rom with the new base. Using the old roms on the new base caused SD card issues that your describing , but I figured flashing Scott's rom would have fixed it . Easiest fix is if you backed up the stock rom that came with the RUU, if not only thing I can think of is to RUU again and start over. I know Dres is looking into this issue for Amon Ra in case the dev blocks changed , but until he does I would think reflashing RUU is the easiest suggestion.
Problem Solved
Thanks so much! I flashed the latest (that I could find) RUU 3.11.605.1 i got the boot.img and the stock rom out of the RUU and flashed them using fastboot and Amon Ra respectively. When I booted back up the sd cards were properly mounted and everything seems fixed. Thanks again for the quick helpful response!
Now, I still don't exactly understand what I did wrong. So let me try to get some things strait. So the latest RUU is the latest version of the leaked ROM (from HTC?) in question, ICS in our case. So whenever a new RUU is leaked all the developers build new roms on this RUU? and if i say, had been flashing roms from an old RUU, and then flashed a rom from a new RUU (maybe i also forgot to wipe things?) caused problems?
I'd just like to get a better idea of what the problem actually was, and why what i did fixed it. Hopefully someday i won't be so dependent on the great minds here on xda.
Thanks again for everything!
I'm in a similar boat.
I'm in a similar boat. I went straight from stock rooted gingerbread to CleanRom ICS and now I can't get the sd card to mount. CleanROM just kept rebooting over and over. I'm going to try the suggestion by the OP. Hopefully that fixes the problem.
I guess the dev block changed from the old base to the new. Amon ra is already updated. So when you Ruu again and ran the new stock it matched so fixed it. Just don't rum old roms or backups.

Go into my ICS thread or any of the ICS threads and download the patch to run the new build on the old firmware to fix the mounts
I have kind of similar issue. My phone storage and sdcard are swapped. I only rooter and installed AmonRa recovery. I put 9gb of music on my card, but in setting my card looks empty and my phone storage only has 80m left.
Any ideas?
Thanks
what firmware are u on... u probably need to flash the other amonr ra version if you are on 3.14 flash 3.15 or vice versa

[CLOSED]Format data/media (sdcard internal memory)

I apologize if this has been answered somewhere else here before. I have been searching for days and have not found the full answers to my questions anywhere.
Recently I updated my GT-P7510 CM9 to an experimental CM10 from by pershoot. After getting it up and running I was looking at my internal storage usage and numbers didn't seem to add up (must have done a dirty flash at some point in the past to cause this). My internal storage in root explorer showed 8.93gb in use and 28.01 total storage. I copied everything to a USB drive to back it up and noticed there was only 7.45gb actually on the internal storage. I have seen this problem before on my S2, and I always just reformat the internal SD card (emmc) to regain the missing space. However, since the tab does not have a micro SD slot, I have no way of wiping the internal sdcard (data/media) without wiping out the rom too from how I understand it. Somebody correct me if I am wrong...
So, does anybody know of a way to successfully wipe/format the sdcard (data/media directory) in CWM or other method that will not wipe out the rom and send the device straight to cwm with no way to install a new rom? Or do I have to revert back to stock to accomplish the format of sdcard like I have read for a few other similar situations? Everything works fine (CM10 & CM9 both run awesome), I just want that extra 1.48gb of missing/phantom storage back. And, without mass storage mode, I cannot perform a disk check in win7. This has really got me frustrated to find a solution without having to start over. I wish this tab had a micro SD slot!
Currently I am running CM9 nightlies (7-31) for p4wifi (gt-p7510). My cwm recovery is version 6.0.1.0. Any help is greatly appreciated, and I do apologize if this has been covered before. Thanks in advance to those of you smarter than I.

Ok, I seemed to have figured this one out and now feel pretty stupid for not digging a bit further before asking.
After I decided to go ahead with the sdcard format using CWM, I noticed that the space was still being used somewhere. After I started to dig a bit, I noticed that all of my apps still worked after the format. Basically, the extra space is being consumed by the /data/app folder housing all user apps. CWM must be designed to ignore this directory when formatting the internal sdcard which is why there was still some storage being used.
I feel like an ubernoob for asking this, but my S2's internal sdcard is not mapped to data/media, so I had to learn a bit better about how this thing works I suppose. Anyways, I hope this information can be useful to someone out there having similar questions.

Although that is a similar problem, I asked if there is a way to fix it without going that route? I appreciate your reply, but I already knew it could be resolved by going back to stock (2nd paragraph of my post).

I can accomplish a full format of the internal sdcard on my galaxy s2 without it affecting the rom in any way whatsoever and it is running cwm 6.0.1.0 also. From how I understand it, the partitions are set up differently on the s2 and this device. The s2 has a separate partition for the internal sdcard making it possible to format via cwm. On this device, the sdcard is part of the data partition meaning wiping it will leave you with no rom installed and no storage on the sdcard. I think all versions of cwm can wipe the slate clean, it is just a matter of everything else being wiped clean also. But, if you are aware of a cwm that let's me accomplish this, I would love to find it. Thanks again.

[Q] SD CARD WONT MOUNT IN CWM...very woried

Hi there
I am not very tech savy and I managed yesterday to install cyanogenmod on my i9100. The problem was that specific nightly I installed had a issue with not mounting the sd card. I read on the forum that this would be fixed in today's update.
So I loaded the new update of cyanogenmod on my sd card like I did yesterday thinking that the mount issue would be resolved if I boot into CWM wipe factory data and cache and the install the new ROM from the SD CARD. Basically do exactly what I did yesterday just with the new rom.
Alas the sd card would not mount. The only thing that could mount was internal sd storage. I did not save the ROM there so now my phone does not switch on when I press the power button but is does switch on when I want go into recovery and dowload mode.
This is what I did today
I installed siyah-v3.2b8 via odin
Then I did the same with CWM recovery
After this I booted into recovery mode and wiped factory data and cache.
My intention was to next install(or flash not sure what the right word is) CM10.1
Any help please. I have been looking around on the forums for solutions, but none are so similar to this. As I am just starting to learn how all of this works, I am not sure wether other solutions apply.
I am worried that I bricked the phone.
Thank you so much for any help. I will continue to look for a solution until I get a response.

I went into cwm ( think it comes with Siyah.)
I went to the following setting on the list after plugging the phone in the PC in recovery mode
- mounts and storage
then
- mount from usb storage
The internal SD was recognized and I just copied Cyanogenmod zip file over.
I then installed zip from internal sdcard.
and voila....it booted right in and the new nightly build sorted out the SD card problem. So far no further issues.
Thank you for the admin moving my post to the correct place. And I hope this helps.

[Q] PA 3.99 RC2 not mounting internal SD Card

Hi,
i have no Problems with stock Rom, but in all 4.3 ROMs especially in PA 3.99 RC2, the Android system doesn't mount the sdcard0.
Does anyone know why?
PS: I am using the JBX Kernel

try to clear cache from your recovery or else reset to factory defaults, this trick worked for my wi-fi issues
hi,
i already tried that
this also happens on every other 4.3 ROM to me with and without jbx kernel
Got The same problem. Gallery and camera wont let me in
Sent from my XT910 using xda app-developers app
I think this is an issue on all 4.3 ROMs, I have the same problem on Carbon 4.3.
thanks for the replies, then all 4.3 ROMs are just unusable
strange that noone complained about that in the DEV forums

This is not true.. Every 4.3 rom i have flashed has had storage1/storage0. My micro sd card is where i keep my mp3 music i listen to via player pro. Sd is where my custom ringtones i created are stored along with pics, etc. Works great. Listen, sometimes going back to the beginning and starting over with stock firmware flash is needed as these memory slots can get corrupted. I use titanium back up for any/all apps/data with out these issues. Or simply go back to stock and copy what u dont want to lose to your micro sd (root explorer) is great or simply plug phone into computer and create a new folder on desk top for your keeps. After copy, format sd storage (pull micro sd card first) or simply copy nothing to micro sd only to computer and format both sd/micro sd. (Recomend) Would for sure do factory reset, if using ss uninstall and start fresh. This is not a guaranteed solution, only a suggestion.. Seems to have worked just fine for me more than once.. And others with similar issue.
XT912 RaZR SpYdEr CDMA
hit ThAnKs if I was helpful!!!
I have the same problem - only 1.28 GB of internal storage is seen by phone, even though it shows 13+ GB when connected to the PC.
is there anything that may help, (other then formatting everything) ?
I have already wiped cache/dalvic cache and mounted sdcard0 and sdcard1 in the CWM Recovery - didn't make any difference.

[Q] Problems with KitKat

Hi guys
I have searched high and low for a solution for this, but no body seems to be having the same problems as me!
Basically, whenever I flash a kitkat rom, with the correct recovery etc. (cwm 6.0.4.5) It all works fine, except the recovery and rom cannot find my internal storage. I cant use camera or download anything, due to the "Insert SD card" error.
Is it something that I may be doing wrong? I thought i may need to format it, but when in the cwm 6.0.4.5 / kitkat rom, I cant find it on the phone to format it, and when I connect to the computer (IMac) via usb storage, only my external storage shows up. It works fine with cyanogenmod 9 though. I am rooted, running cm 9 4.0.4 (ICS) with cwm v6.0.1.2.
Any help to get past this would be much appreciated.
Best regards,

The Mac has difficulties to read most of the devices and I know it because I have one also i (model Early 2009). Try to format the internal memory and tell me that ROM uses in particular.
