[Q] Moonshine to HTCdev unlocked. SOLVED - HTC Droid DNA

See post 3 & 4 for current situation.
I have a HTC Droid DNA running rooted stock 3.06 which was flashed viva TWRP 2.6.3.0
I have (had) moonshine S-off and decided I wanted to be unlocked viva HTCdev. So I flashed 1.15 stock hboot
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip PL83IMG.zip
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Click to collapse
That went went well. Then I tried to flash stock recovery, as I was told that I needed it to unlock viva HTCdev, from fastboot. I got an error in trying to do so. I can't remember what error as that was a couple days ago. The phone boots and works great, I can get in to recover (still TWRP 2.6.3.0) I have tried to use Supercid (cid-2.apk), and I can't get it to work. So here is what I have to work with, and I'm not exactly sure where to go from here
Edit: The Rest of the Process
So after flashing the 1.15 hboot it locked me, as seen in the photos. Then a few days later I ran the 1.15 RUU. Still S-off, I re-downloaded SUPERcid and it worked without a hitch. Confirmed the 22222222 Cid in command prompt, then followed the process for unlocking viva HTCdev.

I know this isn't going to help in any way, but I don't thing the DNA can be unlocked via HTCdev. I think it could for a short time, but was quickly removed from the list... Sorry for the bad news...

Finally got a good download of the RUU. Hoping to get some clarity before I do anything else.

Wish I could help more, but I don't think I have much useful advice. The only suggestion I would have is to read through this thread, but there's a lot to go through...

Looks like others had similar issues. Good luck!

Sounds like going back to scratch (s_on) will make hard to get unlocked again.
Edit: could this work? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2414133

Definitely worth a try. I'd try changing the CID As suggested in post #25.

That's what I was thinking!

now i just can boot to bootloader..
In order to release your phone from this state I recommend using adb and fastboot on your pc.
I too experienced this when I updated from 2.08.... to 2.17.... Following this I ran the Ruu from this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1239821
This was the original stock: I ran this from windows, rebooted, updated using OTA until I was fully stock 2.17
2.08.651.2 RUU http://www.multiupload.com/09NOXKCUN0 Thanks lchupacabras for mirroring!
And this site for current RUU
http://rootzwiki.com/topic/9282-sprint-htc-evo-3dshooter-shipped-roms/
These are .exe files that will reset your phone to stock state for OTA updates.
I'm on Hboot 1.50

any ideal???
Download
gsm ruu evo3d.
Search on google.it is a program.its pretty big. Install in your computer, then put your phone on bootloader and it should say USB
run RUU program.
You will lose root but it should go back to stock.

I would get an RUU file for your phones current stock version, extract all the img files and flash them individually one by one via Fastboot.
I think that it could work better.

I Replied to your PM, let me know if that works.
I didn't look at the picture well, but one thing I do suggest and that can be cause of some issues over the process is that you need to unlock the bootloader from your phone again.

You can read this thread.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1535987 ...
Get a new unlocktoken from HTC, flash that via fastboot, reboot into bootloader, and then lock it
Code:
fastboot oem lock
That should fix your problem, before that, you would want to flash a corresponding(Your country specific rom through bootloader). that would fix most issues. do not try to change the cid to anything if you do not intend to give it for repairs... If seriously want to change the cid, then try to edit it with a hex editor.
Hi,
Thank you for the links. Although o have tried them. Doesn't work.
I was able to flash leedroid without problems and I do fastboot flash the boot.img.
The problem is I can't flash anything else. Trying ARHD or some other tweaks but it always says "install aborted" on recovery.
I cannot relock as well. RUU's are slowly downloading and will try to punch that in as soon as it is finished.
As for the pg86img it does nothing.
Also use free evo. It rebooted to the old HTC bootup animation then rebootes back to Leedroid

You will have to describe each and every step you have done and also the error message you get with them, that will make it easier for me to help you.
Try flashing a new recovery
also format system, cache etc when changing the ROM
btw there is no ARHD von evo3d
Will flash another recovery and look for another rom.
I will update as soon as I get results

Will attempt to flash genesis aosp. Hopefully the pg86 will update

one question, from where do you get ARHD Zip?
There is no android revolution for the EVO 3D.
Moved to Q & A as this is a question.

[Q] Unlocked bootloader before upgrading firmware

Hello,
First thing I did when I got my phone before even playing with it was unlock the bootloader in fear I would not be able to later on (was so tempting to have the file and not actually unlock it, so i did). Afterwards I realized i did not run the OTA first and i am on firmware 1.26. I am seeing some blurbs here and there with people stating that in order to update the firmware you need to relock your bootloader and than do the OTA, it is not something that would get done by installing a new rom. I am new to HTC, had the nexus before this and everything could not have been easier. Just want to see if I am understanding this correctly, and would it be wise of me to relock my bootloader and than do the ota and than re unlock.
thanks for your help!

I'm fairly certain that isn't true. You just need to wait for someone to post the stock update "rom".
What is the most current firmware?
I did a software update and found nothing earlier today. I'm on 1.26.502.10
I remember seeing in the at&t forums that people were getting an OTA right off the bat, and in the international they have 1.29.401.12.. but maybe I am just being paranoid? I am on same firmware as you.
I'm not worried about it too much. I'm sure to have a custom ROM on this thing sooner rather than later.

I stand corrected. But the way I see it - if you unlocked the BL, you can back it up, then relock it, flash it, and then restore everything.

Why not flash a custom rom now from the international forum? Or just flash stock international rom?
Something in android revolution thread stated that if u have a different firmware version than what they are using u need to wipe data through aroma.. which i understand.. just was curious about running the most up to date firmware and such.. but if that's just for international. Than no biggie. Plan on flashing this afternoon!

[Q] Bootloop... Cant seem to fix

I have been trying to fix this for two days now. I unlocked my bootloader, rooted phone, installed custom ROM. All was working fine until yesterday I tried to put a different custom ROM on and it went into a boot loop. Phone is a Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE. I have voided my HTC warranty by unlocking boot loader and I don't have a Sprint replacement plan.

If you could get your phone to boot you could use Moonshine. It's Windows friendly and takes about five or ten minutes to complete. Using Dirty Racun, just follow the steps. Part of the process involves downgrading with RUU. Once you're done you can flash whatever ROM you want and not have to worry about installing the kernel separately.

Just re-flash whatever ROM you were running previously, and then proceed with S-OFF so you can then flash whatever ROM you want.

No need to worry about locked hboot when s-off. 1.50+ hboot will say locked becaused that's when HTC added to allow custom roms and disable DRM.

Oh gotchya OK cool thanks! Also I was able to get 4.4.4 liquedsmooth to boot with the 4.4.x pa gapps its actually super smooth and fast for an older phone I was really surprised! Unfortunately I don't have that phone currently in service so to regards if 3g works I have no idea bit so far only thing I've noticed not working is 3d camera witch doesn't bother me a bit soon if anyone's interested in going kitkat aosp that seems to be a really stable fast ROM ! Also to add about themes I'll check them out currently I'm rocking the ready-L theme from the play store looks just like my S3 so cool !!! Thanks again for the info man!
