My son got a LG Optimus P769 for Christmas and tried to uprade to Jellybean 4.3 and managed to get his phone Boot locked (When you turn it on the LG logo goes on and off repeatedly. We can connect to it thru fastboot, but screen is reflected and we can set the phone into S/W Upgrade Mode but we can't figure out what to do from there. Is the phone a lost cause or can it be fixed?
Here is a rough list of what he did:
Used cyanogenMod 10.2 to upgrade to Jellybean 4.3 (Got LG logo with security error when phone turned on).
Used fast boot to erase recovery.img, boot.img, chose option 5 and option 7. (Got flashing LG logo bootlock no security error.)
Here is a rough list of what we tried:
Used fast boot to erase recovery.img, boot.img, chose option 5 and option 7. got flashing LG logo bootlock no security error
Tried to use LGMobile support tool, but it freezes on analyzing phone step.
Tried to use KDZ_FW_UPD_EN to load V20F_00.kdz but get Phone NOT FOUND Error.
Please let me know if there is something else I can do. Thanks in advance.
Use the Lelus fastboot to flash ICS u and x. Good luck!

Dear XDA Members,
My P765 now is on Bootloop, it wont load the OS. Before it happened, the phone was fine with CM 10.2 and CWM Custom. I try to flash again an TWRP which can only use to flash CM 11 Unofficial. After i flash the recovery, it went normal. I restarted the phone, and the phone was working. I copy the CM 11 then i try to flash it by entering the recovery again, but the method just open the fastboot page, not the TWRP. and now the phone bootloop on LG logo. I try hard restart, and it couldnt work. i try to flash again the KDZ but the KDZ updater said my phone not recognized. Does anyone knows what should i do to fix my phone? :crying: Thanks before.

HELP!!
Even my LG-p765 is stuck in boot loop... actulally ringing boot.
But for me it happened during flashing recovery for the 1st time (i used tool tip for doing it).:crying:
Now my phone shows LG logo (just for a second) and restarts. This keeps happening unless i pull out the battery.
Please post, if anyone know how to recover from this the ringing boot.
If you can manage to get into fastboot and flash uboot and xloader, then connect the phone on software upgrade mode, it should connect. Although there is a catch, THIS WILL RELOCK YOUR BOOTLOADER.
No, it won't. If he install kdz by normal usb cable (not 910k), he will still have unlocked bootloader.
Hello, I was trying to flash an update to my LG d321 (it was a CMW 3.0. Something)with the Lg flash tool. When it rebooted it didn't complete the boot. It is now stuck. The LG screen comes on then an error: Boot image verifacation. Then the screen goes black but the screen is still lit up. I can't turn it off, when I try it cycles through that all over again. I can't get into recovery mode, but I can get into download mode. I can't access it through adb, it says no device found. When I plug the USB in my computer finds it and it shows as LG phone with a Google driver in good working order. It also comes up as drive R storage, and when I open that it has 2 files in it and nothing else. I had it rooted with towelroot and cmw. I switched to metro pcs and got the Samsung galaxy light. I had just unlocked the Sim on the Lg so I could use my metro pcs Sim card(from the Samsung) in the LG. I don't quite know what to do if anything. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Hello Xdma,
I have a rooted LG G3 D855 (D85520H to be exact). Recently I decided to try and downgrade the firmware from lollipop to Kitkat and failed uberly. For some reason my device had no download mode, and when I tried to put it in this mode, it would go straight to fastboot.
I decided to take matters into my own hands. I found out the only way to get back download mode was to flash the correct laf.img file to my phone. I have all the adb and fastboots installed on my computer. I thought life would also be easier to flash this buy getting a TWRP recovery. I tried using flashify for this. Unfortunately after flashing it I was forced to reflash to the stock recovery because it could never get into recovery mode . Instead the screen would go black and the led light would flash red and blue.
Just as I was losing it I then proceeded to do something utterly stupid. I erased the system img from my phone (as well as the laf but I have a backup copy) through fastboot.
I am now unable to get past the LG logo after turning it on. How would I go about fixing this? Feel free to call me as many names under the sun for the stupidity of my actions.
Btw I am an android nooby so be nice and talk in a language I can understand!
Thank you for any available advice!
Hi everyone, i'm new in the forum, my name is Edoardo and I'm from Italy.
Yesterday i tried to unbrick my LG P760, and I did it, getting in the Security Error screen.
So i tried to flash the default firmware with KDZ (V20C),i set emergency, boot the SW Upgrade mode on my phone and then clicked on launch update.
my phone stays on for a while, and when kdz says unpacking kdz, after about a minute the phone power off.
i tried with lg mobile support tool, at 15% same problem.
for the unbrick i used this on Win7: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2411265_
and it worked.
what should i do now? the phone was rooted, and with CWM recovery. the night before the total brick (if it matters) my contact numbers disappeared, so i shutdown the phone, and then power on, with the result of a black screen with this text:

Secure boot unsuccessful!

Sorry for my english.
Hello everyone,
I was flashing my phone using "LG Flash Tool 2014", but due to power failure the process stopped. Now my phone is stuck at "Download Mode" I can't do anything. Every time I power on my phone all I see is a banner saying "Download Mode". I tried to use "LG Flash Tool 2014" to flash stock .kdz ROM file, but it does not work. I get to 10% and it stays stuck at that... I tried to use different computers, but the same thing occurred. I tried accessing Recovery mode, but no luck there either. My phone model is LG Optimus LTE2 - "F160s". Please help me. Is it possible to fix my phone? I think it's badly bricked or maybe dead. Not sure, any ideas? Are there any ways I can flash my phone again using Windows or Linux?
