Hallo to all!
This is my first post so please be polite
I have some problem with my desire X. Few days ago I left it with about 15% battery for night. In the morning it was turned off and I could not turn it on. When I'm trying to connect it to my PC, it do not recognize the device. It's probably bricked but I want to be sure.
What can I do to wake it up? What can be the reason for this situation?
This device is from Polish T-mobile, rooted with custom rom.
If you need more information I'm waiting to provide.

It's battery is probably just empty, charge it
No. It's not battery. It was first thing that I checked.
I left it on charging for 24 hours and all the time it was the same. Just yellow light (when device is charged it turn to green).

Then leave it for a ciuple hours, dont charge it. Its probably overheated

yeah, thank you for your answer. I've already tried this method with battery. It's not working for me.

All depends of the determination of the term "dead htc hd2"
if you gave us some more information on what is the problem, and how/after what you have had the problem, than peoples see more clear the situation.
Help us to help you
Tell us all about the phone.
Does it turn on at all, if it does what happens?
Is it the battery? Have you tried a different one?
Is it unbranded, or network branded?
If it's a T-Mobile branded device, is it a US model?
If you can turn it on, do so while holding the volume down button and tell us exactly what it says on the screen.
That, for now, is a start. Come back with some info and we may be able to help you.
Atleast tell a story of your so called "DEAD" HD2..
Dead htc hd2
It wont even turn on at all it's completely dead, it happen after i flash it to original rom.

If you don't tell us anything (especially after we've asked you questions) then you will not get it fixed.

Try holding volume down while turning it on.

1. How do you know what other people can think of?
2.Even if you can and have tried everything then whats the point of asking people?
Htc fried battery back to life!
take the charger and plug and unplug it until you see the led light at the top start blinking and that will do it.

No what the OP has is a bricked HD2 that can only be fixed by JTAG.
Hi all
Two days ago, I've tried upgrade to version 2.3.3, but the light went out and my device don't turn on anymore.
I've used KDZ and sometimes I got Update Error.
I would like to do everything before to send to technical assistance.
What can I do to make my device work ?
Looks like nobody wants to be the barer of bad news; but it sounds like you have an expensive paper weight on your hands. I could be wrong though. Good luck with that.

It could be a dead battery. If you have a spare one with some juice in it then use it. If it's not the battery then I am not sure what's wrong.

I 've tried to recharge, but my device seems dead don't turn on any lights.

So I was putting new roms on my s3 for us cellular. I was searching for a nice fast and clean rom that was similar to stock and found Energy HD 2.0, I put this on my phone and it failed due to signature? I hit reboot and my phone hasnt come back on since. When plugged in the red light shows for a little then eventually goes off as well. The computer picks it up as some qh driver, and odin doesnt read it. any fix? please help. young and dumb.:crying::crying::crying::crying:

No solution.....Samsung service center is the last option. Your warranty is void so they will charge you.
Now to save your money for repair charges do some acting in front of service center guys.tell them that u r upgrading s3 from kies then suddenly phone reboot and not going to on.

I contacted them they are paying for the fix. I told them I updated to jellybean and then while I was texting it got really hot and just flashed off. They tried to service it but no help and decided to pay for the fix and everything. thanks for the feedback guys much appreciated!

lol wouldnt be the first time with software such as this... hey would you know if theyd be able to tell when they service it whether I was uploading roms or not? because they said if they detected rooting that it would void the warranty ? It is just off and wont even hook up to the computer.
I am asking this because if I can the us cellular technician can try to fix it for free if he doesnt notice that it has been rooted.

Thanks a lot buddy appreciate the response! I will be taking it up around 2:00pm eastern time today. I am gonna tell the technician at us cellular that I was in the middle of upgrading to the new uh jellybean I think? (play stupid) and the phone got extremely hot and flicked off and never returned back on. They said if they cant upload the software back on the phone that I will have to get a brand new phone.
I will keep you updated on what happens! Hopefully this thread will help others get their phones replaced or fixed!

Thats true too, I am usually good about that as I did about 4-5 roms before the one that messed my phone up. I was in such a hurry and google mislead me haha.

heres an update. I took my phone in. He couldnt get it to turn on. He took it apart to check for damages to the motherboard and wires. So he has to send it in and I should get mine repaired or a new one in about 10 days. Worth the wait since its free, the guy there was stupid af and acted and talked so much like he knew everything... lol

two days ago my device got wet from coffee
since then it got a little crazy... it "thinks" that the power is connected while it's not and it turns off suddenly but the worst part is that it doesn't recognize the sim from time to time! sometimes it works good for few hours and then it isn't for a while and thenit comes back and so on...
any advise? shall I replace any part within the device??

did another deep clean of the device and now it seems to work fine... hope it'll remain so.

Try to let your device in a container filled with rice during one night long. It will absorb moisture that may be present.

No response when plugged into any charger.
No response to a working jig.
Is it completely dead?

just tell me more clearly what is the proclem with your device and give me its model no.
Does it "get warm" when you charge it? If so, try this, you lose nothing.

Thanks! The phone/battery does not get warm, literally nothing happens.
Too bad I don't know Linux aside from bootable Linux used to save files from corrupted Windows.
Btw I have a i9305 (4G international unlocked).
It has not been tested in the i9305 but it could work. PM me if you want to try
