It feels like the "Show/Hide" button beside "Notification clear button" is more beautiful since it utilizes the empty space beside the "clear button" and also without taking extra space below the toggle buttons (solely my opinion), like the second one in your second post. But one question is, why the normal statusbar is not visible when it is in expanded mode? If it is intentionally done, then is it possible to remove the black empty space (on top of Time and Date in expanded mode) and start the contents from that place?

This one looks like has 32 toggles. Is it really? :cyclops: That would be amazing.
Moreover, please add brightness slider somewhere, maybe below quick toggles. It's really a suffering not to have brightness slider. :crying:
But anyway, what about your more modifications? Please share. [Can't wait to have surprises in statusbar through your mods ]
Thanks a lot for this great mod. :good: :good: :good: :good:

[TIP][GUIDE][10.3.13]Xperia Z Lockscreen with Analog Clock (like Widget)

Hello friends, If you like using analog clock instead of digital, this tip will help you on this lockscreen and other apks you mod..
Maybe lots of you or less know android has own digital/analog clock codes which you can directly call.
In this method, I will try to explain how to change your lockscreen clock from digital to analog one.
Of course there'r several ways to do that but I will explain my method.
The best thing is when u changed drawables, it will look like analog clock widgets on locksreen.
TUTORIAL
1- Decompile your UxpNxtLockScreen.apk and go to \res\layout folder and Open w_clock.xml file.
2- Find this line and add text which in red ;
<RelativeLayout android:layout_gravity="center_horizontal" androidrientation="horizontal" android:id="@id/timeRelativeLayout24h" android:visibility="gone" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_marginBottom="-6.0dip" android:directionality="leftToRight">
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
This is for not showing digital clock on lockscreen.
3- Add red line to the top of xml file (after Linearlayout);
xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android">
<AnalogClock android:layout_gravity="center_horizontal" android:id="@id/analogClock1" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" />
<RelativeLayout android:layout_gravity="center_horizontal" androidrientation="horizontal" android:id="@id/timeRelativeLayout24h" android:visibility="gone" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_marginBottom="-6.0dip" android:directionality="leftToRight">
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
!! We have new ID here so don't forget to add lines to /values/ids.xml and public.xml
-If we finish here and compile apk; it will look like that;
{

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
4- For better UI, look up the first line of xml and change margin to 35dp which you can see in red;
<LinearLayout androidrientation="vertical" android:id="@id/clock_and_date" android:focusable="true" android:focusableInTouchMode="true" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_marginTop="35.0dip" android:layout_alignParentTop="true" android:layout_centerHorizontal="true"
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
This will give us that;
5- Done. Compile apk and ready to push it to the system..
Guide to Change Clock drawables-
- Decompile your framework-res.apk and go to res/drawable-hdpi folder.
We have 3 icons related to that clock.
clock_dial (231x231px), clock_hand_hour(42x231px), clock_hand_minute(42x231px)
For example; I tooked a background from Clockwidgets.apk which is 225x225 and changed it to 231x231.. If you do not change pixels then you will need to change margin ( 4th section) to aline with left/right icons.
Lets look what we have now;
- Download frameworkupdate.zip CWM ready file. After mod your framework-res.apk copy that in zip file and flash with CWM. (against to bootloop)
Thank you for reading my text. If you like this mod and use please hit Thanks button!

if you dont know how to add to public, then do that;
instead of android:id="@id/analogClock1"
use android:id="@+id/analogClock1"
and compile. you will not have to add anything to public. it will do otomatically.

I think you have to decompile framework-res.apk and modify the values inside res->values->dimens.xml

Depending on what's in your status_bar.xml, you should be able to do this in SystemUI.apk pretty easily.

Hmm..so that isn't going to work.
On later versions of Android, the different status icons are on different lines and you can rearrange them almost however you want.
With your system however, the icons are on just one line. My plan isn't going to work. Hopefully someone else can come up with something.
I've subscribed to the thread so if I get an idea, I'll let you know!

Android will automatically resize icons to fit requirements. So if you remove the blank space from the icons, the resulting image files will have a smaller image size and so they'll get stretched.
Like you saw.
Full credit for having the patience to remove all the blank space though!
I think it may be worth reducing the statusbar icon size you mentioned having earlier. Reduce it dramatically at first, just to test it works.
I hope you've made a backup?

Re-read the OP, you need to remove the UxpNxtLockScreen.apk for it to work. Upload your framework, and state what ROM you're using and post a link if possible, then when I reupload it People will know what it works on.

Try changing, if I remember correctly the keyguard_lockscreen_status_line_clockfont_top_margin size, I had the same issue on 4.1 and changing the dip size sorted it.

Disable vibration
Hi, I'm running Stock JellyBean 4.1.2 V6 by DevSwift. I've recompiled framework-res after editing the lines you suggested and everything is fine...The only thing that annoy me is that I can't disable lockscreen vibration feedback, go any suggestion about that?
I tried to follow some old tutorial which suggested to edit framework.jar, but I can't seem to find the right string to edit, the whole package looks different.
By the way, thanks again for sharing your tips.
will try as soon as possible , good job
It looks very cool.

Short Explanation: Clickable label, if clicked, label is changed to what you put in your second label and vice versa. Big credits for the idea, [email protected] Check the animate, then the label will switch from first label to second and vice versa every second. And if random color is checked, click animate then it will give you random color on what color you have entered while label is changing from first to second and vice versa. (3 colors can be registered ) Credits again to mariozawa for the random color idea.
BUGS: Actually, not a bug, we can call it hidden feature. lols. xD if you do find, report it

Then take smali from lenox`s latest statusbar inside smali/com/lenox
Copy whole lenox folder from smali and copy it to respective directory of your UI
Add proper ids and give proper ids in smali/com/lenox/Lenox_Label/lenoxlabel and smali/com/lenox/Lenox_Label/lenox picture
I think u can figure out other changes easily.
@op i think u need to update ur post becoz this guide is for other statusbar than lenox so they will need to add smali files and need to do other changes as well as i `ve mentioned above.

(GUIDE)(MOD)Paged Lockscreen like on 4.2+ (NEW)

How to add PagedView to lockscreen.
As most of you all know the android 4.2+ has implemented an awesome new Lockscreen on wich u can swipe pages to show widgets and such.
Currently i have managed to create working pageview but for now without Widgets.
However you can add some custom stuff though .
i had added DigitalClok -> AnalogClock -> Device Info.
but you would be able to change it like what you want as you can add unlimited LinearLayouts for adding new views.

Basicly this mod is very easy to add.
What is inside the resources.zip ?
SwipeLock Smalis for Framework.jar
Basicly what you would need to do is:
Download Resources Attachement.
Extract it
Decompile you’re framework.jar
Go to the extract smali folder from the resources.zip and copy the smali folder to the smali folder of you’re framework.jar.
Compile framework.jar
Now we are going to add it to the frameworks location/allocate the text.
Decompile framework-res.apk
Find a lockscreen layout to you’re likes. (“zzz_keyguard_screen_clockwidget.xml” <- on this one i have NOT tested as in my test app when i used a Lockscreen overlay i couldnt swipe the pages so its likely this one not works but on the GB ones it does
so instead i used “keyguard_screen_tab_unlock.xml” ofcourse you would be able to add this in other lock layouts aswell.
Open the layout you wanted and simply add this line above the clock layout or where you want
I put this code above my clock code ( i setted minheight to 300.0dip so u would be able to swipe it at this height)
Code:
<com.spacecaker.swipelock.ui.SwipeView android:fadingEdge="none" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:minHeight="300.0dip" android:overScrollMode="never">
And below you're clock layout
Code:
</com.spacecaker.swipelock.ui.SwipeView>
So now we have that now we need to put the clock layout inside a LinearLayout
Like this
Code:
<LinearLayout android:orientation="vertical" android:minHeight="300.0dip" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_alignParentTop="true">
[COLOR="Magenta"] <com.android.internal.widget.DigitalClock android:id="@id/time" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_marginLeft="20.0dip" android:layout_marginTop="30.0dip" android:layout_below="@id/carrier">
<TextView android:textAppearance="?textAppearanceMedium" android:textSize="72.0sp" android:ellipsize="none" android:id="@id/timeDisplay" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:singleLine="true" android:shadowColor="#c0000000" android:shadowDx="0.0" android:shadowDy="0.0" android:shadowRadius="3.0" />
<TextView android:textAppearance="?textAppearanceMedium" android:textSize="22.0sp" android:ellipsize="none" android:id="@id/am_pm" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_marginLeft="8.0dip" android:singleLine="true" android:shadowColor="#c0000000" android:shadowDx="0.0" android:shadowDy="0.0" android:shadowRadius="3.0" android:layout_toRightOf="@id/timeDisplay" android:layout_alignBaseline="@id/timeDisplay" />
</com.android.internal.widget.DigitalClock>[/COLOR]
</LinearLayout>
So it would end up looking like this:
Code:
<com.spacecaker.swipelock.ui.SwipeView android:fadingEdge="none" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:minHeight="300.0dip" android:overScrollMode="never">
<LinearLayout android:orientation="vertical" android:minHeight="300.0dip" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_alignParentTop="true">
<com.android.internal.widget.DigitalClock android:id="@id/time" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_marginLeft="20.0dip" android:layout_marginTop="30.0dip" android:layout_below="@id/carrier">
<TextView android:textAppearance="?textAppearanceMedium" android:textSize="72.0sp" android:ellipsize="none" android:id="@id/timeDisplay" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:singleLine="true" android:shadowColor="#c0000000" android:shadowDx="0.0" android:shadowDy="0.0" android:shadowRadius="3.0" />
<TextView android:textAppearance="?textAppearanceMedium" android:textSize="22.0sp" android:ellipsize="none" android:id="@id/am_pm" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_marginLeft="8.0dip" android:singleLine="true" android:shadowColor="#c0000000" android:shadowDx="0.0" android:shadowDy="0.0" android:shadowRadius="3.0" android:layout_toRightOf="@id/timeDisplay" android:layout_alignBaseline="@id/timeDisplay" />
</com.android.internal.widget.DigitalClock>
</LinearLayout>
</com.spacecaker.swipelock.ui.SwipeView>
Now we add another LinearLayout for you're second Page i used the universal AnalogClock like this
Code:
<AnalogClock android:layout_gravity="center" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" />
So now we again add a LinearLayout so it ends up looking like this:
Code:
<LinearLayout android:orientation="vertical" android:minHeight="300.0dip" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_alignParentTop="true">
[COLOR="Magenta"]<AnalogClock android:layout_gravity="center" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" />[/COLOR]
</LinearLayout>
The end Layout would look like something like this:
Code:
<com.spacecaker.swipelock.ui.SwipeView android:fadingEdge="none" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:minHeight="300.0dip" android:overScrollMode="never">
<LinearLayout android:orientation="vertical" android:minHeight="400.0dip" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_alignParentTop="true">
<com.android.internal.widget.DigitalClock android:id="@id/time" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_marginLeft="20.0dip" android:layout_marginTop="30.0dip" android:layout_below="@id/carrier">
<TextView android:textAppearance="?textAppearanceMedium" android:textSize="72.0sp" android:ellipsize="none" android:id="@id/timeDisplay" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:singleLine="true" android:shadowColor="#c0000000" android:shadowDx="0.0" android:shadowDy="0.0" android:shadowRadius="3.0" />
<TextView android:textAppearance="?textAppearanceMedium" android:textSize="22.0sp" android:ellipsize="none" android:id="@id/am_pm" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_marginLeft="8.0dip" android:singleLine="true" android:shadowColor="#c0000000" android:shadowDx="0.0" android:shadowDy="0.0" android:shadowRadius="3.0" android:layout_toRightOf="@id/timeDisplay" android:layout_alignBaseline="@id/timeDisplay" />
</com.android.internal.widget.DigitalClock>
</LinearLayout>
<LinearLayout android:orientation="vertical" android:minHeight="400.0dip" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_alignParentTop="true">
<AnalogClock android:layout_gravity="center" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" />
</LinearLayout>
</com.spacecaker.swipelock.ui.SwipeView>
To Add More pages just add another LinearLayout with something inside
Now Compile framework-res.apk
Now zip the files together and make sure these are set properly.
framework-res.apk inside /system/framework/**
And then ofcourse you’re modified framework.jar inside /system/framework/**
Now you are done
Happy modding

Try it without Modding?
Yes you can
In the Screenshots i had used HoloLocker as an example
So you can try it on you"re phone aswell
Note: the minheight might be to much for low res phones so i am sorry if the layout is cut.
Wow! Back to back guides! Robin is on fire! Anyways, Awesome Guide/Mod!! :thumbup:
It will be minimal for me because I'm using AOSP and in AOSP, sliding tab is the default lockscreen. Will try when i get back from school.
