I wonder if there is a way to get rid of all bloat in the Sony Album app? I mean there's Flickr, Glob, Maps, Playmemories, Facebook, Picasa etc.. The only things I wanna see in the Album are my own photos stored on my sd-card and internal memory.
I have (luckily) got rid of Facebook, Picasa and Flickr by disabling some stuff, but the rest remains. I feel like I've tried everything.
Thanks!

I only have Play Memories again and I can't find it anywhere in the system. It's disabled, but it's still in Album and it's a little annoying

Hi there, I purchased a Xperia Z Ultra from Hong kong, its running on android 4.2.2 at the moment, I've updated the walkman app but I can't find the option to sign into music unlimited.
I'm also missing the option in the settings menu to sign into a Sony entertainment account.
Anyone have a clue why?

If you can't see sony entertainment account, go to play store and install it:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sony.snei.np.android.account
You should then see it in the accounts section in settings. Then when you open the walkman app it should auto login to music unlimited. Pretty much all Sony network connections rely on the entertainment account.

That option for doesn't exist on mine, I'm signed into my sony account, I've tried all sorts, re installed the walkman app, factory reset, updated to android 4.3 etc.
Forgot to mention, video unlimited works fine with Movies, its just the walkman app.

Ok.
You could install https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sony.snei.mu.phone
Otherwise, I would personally flash another region rom. Drastic I know but if this is different you may well come across other things later.

The only other thing I can think is to sign into your Sony network account via Web and check the settings in there, perhaps something needs enabling.

I take alot of pictures and like to separate them in albums. Is there anyway to do this on this phone
Coming from Samsung so I'm trying to get the hang of this. Thanks

Of course you can, but you can't do it with the Albums app (as far as I know). Install a third party gallery app, like QuickPic or something.

Just did. You need to sign in with one of the accounts listed and then download an app called "Pass". You can then get a code and redeem for movies on video unlimited.

Xperia lounge, clicked movies and logged into Sony Entertainment account. I was then prompted to download app called Pass from play store. It gave me a code and once entered provided the free flicks in my collection.

Sent from my D6503 using xda app-developers app
For games download you must install playstation mobile app. Just search in browser and go on Sony website. Films should be in Xperia lounge. And Michael Jackson album should be available from 5.13. for every owner of z2.

I redeemed the movie but I can't find them in the Video Unlimted and if I click on the collection it goes to movie app and there is nothing there too, but if I check my Sony Network , in media section they can be found and there is a download button for them too but if you click on that it will give you a small xpd file that is belong to play station and you can't run it.
since update to 6.2.A.0.8, bought movies only show up,once downloaded.the "online media library" cant be accessed, to download other / rest of movies.
solution a) for now, ive downgraded movies app, and all is working fine again.
better SOLUTION:
Video Unlimited apk has to be installed manually.
Version Video Unlimited 11.0.B.0.4 is mandatory.

Same problem until I update the Xperia launch it was showing the offer and when I click the offer it asking me to update the launch. After update I can't find the movie offers.
Maybe its region specific? I went into lounge, clicked offer, signed in, downloaded app called Pass, received code, redeemed code, all six in my collection in movies app. Wish I could be of further assistance.

i done steps 1-4 but never recieved a code to redeem. if i uninstall updates on lounge i can see the video offer, when i click it tells me to update the lounge to recieve a code, ive uninstalled updates and then tried updating it again 3 times.... just doesnt give me a code
I didn't update lounge. It gave me a link to the Pass app on Play store. Icon looks like a filmstrip and even though I downloaded it, there is no icon in app drawer. It must be one time only video unlimited add on.

Big updates for Walkman and Album has been released. The UI is similar to that of the new movies app. I got it from an OTA but here's a link for you guys

Also, yeah, I really like the updates! I have nothing to add or rant about
Haha i got it on .290 when i just flashed it. Didn't get it on .136 or Kitkat either XD Sony has a weird way of rolling out app updates

Just got my new Z2 a few days ago. Love the phone but a few quirks though. The main one - photos reappear after they have been deleted after a reboot or after waiting a few hours.
Steps to reproduce.
1. Take a picture with the stock camera app
2a. Delete it immediately from the camera app and also delete it from the trash within the Google Photos app.
2b. or go into the Sony album app and delete it from there.
3. Reboot the phone
4. Open the Sony album app. Voila... the picture is back again.
Can someone verify this behavior for me? Any suggestions?

ive found that with .55 and .402 firmwares there is a media scanning issue/app function issue
i dont think there is much to do besides deleting the pic using xplore, xplore app adds to the media info hence it should disapear from the album all together

Thanks!! I'm using Solid Explorer and will definitely try deleting from a file explorer. Funny thing is that if I delete the reappeared photo via eg. the Sony album app (so deleting it for the second time) it does go away permanently.
Do you reckon this is going to be solved via a firmware update? Or do I need to go hobby around the issue myself?

Found it. I had set the storage location to my SD within the camera app. Changed that back and the issue of reappearing pictures is gone. That all my widgets and live wallpaper were destroyed in the process got me even more paranoid about this firmware, but hey that's solvable too
