[Q] Galaxy S2 screen is ultra saturated or something - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello. I replaced my S2 with a Nexus 5 and gave it to my dad. But for some reason, after wiping everything and installing CM 10.1 stable and Apolo Kernel for him, the screen looks weird, dark, ultra saturated. I'm 100% sure this was not the case when I was using it. Here you have two photos; the first one is from the S2 with the problem, and the second one is from a Galaxy S (1) that looks fine, as it should, so that you can compare (in the photos it may even look like that the S2 looks right but trust me when I say that it does not)

Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Have you tried stock cm kernel? Also check your mdnie settings in settings>advanced>screen if I'm not mistaken? And play around with them, need to reboot after changing. I think 'cyanogenmod' is default. I used to use 'camera' or 'ui' on cm10.1

Display Problem

My S2 is having some Display problem and when i'm playing some games, i will also encounter some images that i can't describe!
P/S: I didn't root, i'm using Go Launcher EX. Firmware is 2.3.6.
Example:

If you're on a stock ROM and it only happens playing certain games, contact the developer(s).
If it's happening even when not playing games, and you're sure it's a fault, go to a stock ROM and if it's still happening, contact Samsung.
Gradient banding isn't a fault you're going to have luck correcting.
I'm on Stock ROM and i guess i will have to contact Samsung .. Ahh, lazy to go down.
Any more helps? Or anyone have encountered this before?

Wow. I definitely would've sent it back for a warranty exchange. This kinda makes me think I'm a lazy ass. How long did it take to do this?

Pretty sure I wasted my money my stupid note..

I literally bought a new note, only because it had the screen I wanted over the galaxy SIII because android 4.1 SAID IT SUPPORTED USB AUDIO...CM10 has been out for the note for MONTHS and we STILL DONT HAVE USB AUDIO
But the galaxy SIII has USB audio work perfectly fine..WTF
So, you bought a phone but are mad it doesn't have the features of another phone that is newer, that is on a more recent version of an OS and its the phones fault that "you wasted money"??
Sounds like you should have done more research..

Well I am pretty sure if you feel this way, then take measures to replace your device, posting will not address your issues/wants and or requirements. Additionally homework on your end would help in your quest.
Thank You and....

[Q] CM10.1 Screen problems

Does anybody else get problems like this? As you can see when using the keyboard I get the odd colour highlighted where the key on the qwerty isn't.
If so what are the solutions? Cheers.
As a note my phone doesn't do this on stock firmware... Only on CM10.1

as another example.
ignore the colours, they're just there because I'm using a screen recording app.

I have this problem too but as versions of CM 10.1 are unstable they're not going to respond to any bugs or problems because you chose to install an unstable ROM. Either deal with it or go ahead and choose a stable CM 9 release.

Camera - Black scrren or fuzzy white lines?

Been having this problem for a month now. The screen shot below is of the fuzzy white lines, usually its just black with the side controls still intact. I have tried everything. I have and am running, Samsung Galaxy S2 i777, Shostock 3.0.2 ROM, AJK 4.7ms kernel. I did a factory reset a few times, reinstalled the ROM a few times with and without the kernel. ONCE in a while the camera will work. After you close it and try to go back to it, it wont work (as I described above). I even bought a new camera module and installed it... same result. I posted this in the S2 i777 forum already with only one reply that didnt help. I am posting here so that SOMEBODY hopefully has some experience with this or knows anything that can help me fix this. Thank you for your help!
