I was wondering if anyone knew how to add a wallpaper to the lock screen? Or even add a wallpaper to the the stock loader? Is there a file that can be edited?
no it can't be done yet, the nova launcher can't show the wallpaper even though the hdx has been rooted, but some launchers have it's own wallpaper that will show.
Really? Nova works fine here with all Wallpaper apps, just REGULAR wallpapers though, HDX doesn't do live wallpapers (yet). I have a couple different Wallpaper packs, and even Zedge works.

there has to be a way. after rooting and removing the god awful ads, when first booting there is a background on the lock screen that changes after each reboot.
i am gonna look into this. i hate that there is not a way for my kids to distinguish their kindles apart.
First you download No Lock app from Play or anywhere u can. Run it and deactivate the lockscreen with root access.
Then you download any 3rd party lockscreen like Galaxy Locker or Go Locker to use as lockscreen. You can use any wallpaper u want there.

Hi,
everybody knows about the bug that prevents the restoration of the original lock screen wallpaper. I fiddled around with my lock screen wallpapers, and now decided on a live wallpaper for my home screen which i also want on my lock screen.
Unfortunately, I have yet to find a way to do that. On my gf's nexus s, it is quite simple: just select the live wallpaper and it is set as your lock screen wallpaper too.
Anybody know how to do this on a sgs2?
Well at the moment you have to change your lockscreen.
You can get one from the market, widgetlocker or something.
personally i like to keep as little running as possible so just use the stock lockscreen.
If we could enable transparency on the lockscreen wallpaper
that would work but right now it just comes out black.
Im sure a good dev would be able to do that though.

Is there any way to chose live wallpaper only for lockscreen? I love GSIII flower with water effect I know I can set it for homescreen and then it will be on lockscreen, but I wan't it only for lockscreen. Any ideas, mods, 3rd app or something?

Hmm, I'm actualy using Wanam Lite 11.7, but I was very happy with Hydrog3n based on AOKP so maybe I go back. Could anyone confirm that is possible on AOKP?
samsung based roms support different lockscreen and homescreen wallpapers as well, see screenshot attached (LPD). i cannot tell whether both would let you choose live wallpapers and/or different live wallpapers from one another as i froze all live wallpapers and the live wallpaper picker with TB and couldn't be bothered to unfreeze to solve your problem which i have no major interest in
I know that, but in this menu you can only choose static wallpaper for lockscreen

I have been searching around for a way to automatically change the lockscreen wallpaper. I have Samsung Galaxy S4. It has a lockscreen wallpaper called "travel wallpaper" which does this but has major limitations (can't select the images myself, uses mobile data). I ahve tried other wallpaper changer apps / live wallpapers, but they only change the homescreen wallpaper not the lockscreen.
I do have WidgetLocker and added some widget that did the trick... but I am trying to go back to the stock lockscreen since WidgetLocker hasn't been reliable for me (it only works sometimes, others the stock lockscreen shows up. Also WidgetLocker doesn't have media controls.

now the hdx has rooted, but the nova launcher still can't show the wallpaper and the widget not working.
Instal KindleFree App. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.stericson.KindleFree And use wallpaper and widget fixes.

I had to use the Stunts wallpaper fix. That's how I got my Kindle HDX wallpaper to work

Go into your stock system settings. Should be able to change your wallpaper in there under display or lock screen.

Hi,
At the moment, Themer can't change your lockscreen wallpaper. We recommend using your old launcher to change it (you can find a wallpaper to match in the /sdcard/MyColorScreen/Themer/prefs folder) and then change back to Themer. Hope this helps!
