Okay well...I was messing around with some roms and such and found i needed to have "You must be on MJ5 bootloader or higher, or you will have reboots & freezes!!!"
Alright well I have/had no idea what that was and seen a thread that showed me a link to mj5 bL and all it said was flash it thru odin so i figured it was a good idea and I did that
Now to give some info I have a NOTE 2 for verizon
16gb
and from what I knew it was the one with I605VRAMC3 <--- this lol
cant think of the wording.. my product name WAS sch-i605
Ok now for some reason I flashed a BL in odin and now my phone says GT-N7100!!!
I have lost my imei and efs and all that =(
I cannot figure out how the hell to get back to my regular firmware i guess..I am so lost lol
I tried to flash "KIES_HOME_I605VRAMC3_I605VZWAMC3_1098177_REV0 4_us er_low_ship.tar.md5" and it doesnt work always fails at system.img
and i tried to flash
I605VRUEMJ9_I605VZWEMJ9_VZW.zip and it doesnt work fails also at system img
Please any +++++ feedback is good feedback
I know Im missing info for you to make a judgement , maybe, just ask me and I will tell. Im a nervous wreck atm xD
This is not development so you should not have posted here. You are trying to flash things when you don't know what you are doing and are not thoroughly reading things. There are several stickied guides to help you out. Read them.

Does it boot? Can you Odin back to stock? If not, its bricked. If you can you would be the first I've ever heard of being able to.

Thats whats really messing with my head. I know i fd up but I sort of understand all this.
I can flash a rom doing certain steps going back to philz recovery.
The thing is I can do anything GT-N7100 Wise... I can flash that pit and that stock... But the problem is thats not my the original firmware so basically my phone service wont work.
Its odd
I can get into download mode easily
I tried to flash my original pit file but it just fails at system.img
I also tried just flashing the "I605VRAMC3_I605VZWAMC3_VZW" in pda but it fails also.
Its confusing why it even let me flash a different firmware in the first place but it wont let me flash back?

Hey guys I need to return my phone to be fixed, but have a slight problem. The firmware is all stock except for when it boots up it says it is a GT-I9100. This is left from a previous flash that I did, but I went back to stock and never bothered to fix that, because it didn't really bug me. Now my phone won't recognize a charger or any usb plugs. My question is will Samsung/AT&T still accept my phone for replacement with this? If not is there anyway I can fix the boot screen without plugging my phone in? Thanks guys sorry for the noob question, but I am not really sure what to do and this is kind of a specific problem, so I couldn't find anything in the search. Once again really appreciate any help!

No, don't do that.
You can either use Mobile Odin to remove it, or do a complete Return to Stock using Odin.

You're absolutely right. For some reason I thought you were stock rooted...my mistake. Use my second option then.
As long as you root it, you can use Mobile Odin. Not like it matters anyway, you just need to get rid of the GT-I9100 and then flash back to stock again, thus eliminating root.
Did Odin one-click back to stock not work for you? Because it sounds like you might have flashed I9100 bootloaders and flashing I777 bootloaders should fix it (which if I'm not mkstaken, the one click does include). Someone correct me on both points if I'm wrong , I'm simply conjecturing.

Yea I tried this, didn't work. I could probably get it into download mode, if I borrowed someones battery, but I am not sure why that matters if the computer won't detect it.
I finally got my phone to connect after cleaning it for like an hour, I just have to hold it at a certain angle. Everytime I try and flash the bootloader I get a fail though, I am using odin 1.8.5 and the bootloader here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18859438&postcount=199. After it fails I have to reflash using the one click no bootloader here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18859438&postcount=199. Is there any one click with the stock bootloaders someone could please link me to? Thanks once again guys
Both links appear to be the same.
Anyway, why would you flash the bootloader?

That was my suggestion, I thought it might be an I9100 bootloader that he flashed which causes the GT-I 9100 to show up on boot, and he wants it back at stock for returning. Again I could be wrong, and of course flashing bootloaders is very dangerous, especially with your faulty USB connection (I didn't know it was faulty when I posted before).
EDIT: Did you ever try rooting so you can go the Mobile Odin route (which would be much safer)?

Since your USB connection is buggy, and since flashing bootloaders is really dangerous anyway, I'd try this instead. If it doesn't help, let us know.

This first, please. This will tell you which bootloader you currently have.
If the usb connection is lost while the bootloader is flashing, the phone will hard brik, and will require jtag repair to recover, which costs about $50 to $60. Therefore, it is necessary to know what the phone status really is before taking that risk.
If you determine that you really do have the I9100 secondary bootloader, then you put the I777 UCKH7 sbl.tar in the PDA slot of Odin3 v1.85. Or you could flash the I777UCKH7-CL503881 FULL Odin3 One-click Downloader which includes the param.lfs and the secondary bootloader.
Mobile Odin will not flash bootloaders or param.lfs

yeah assuming you're using the stock ROM, Samsung's bootloader likes to revert any modifications you make to the system upon reboot. i've found this out through my own research.
the solution is to flash the gingerbread bootloader, which is here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/72206619/GBBootloaders.tar
flash this through Odin in the PDA section.
you might want to reflash the CWM that you used along with the superuser zip too. just in case those don't work.

you did not list your carrier or device in your post, but there is a whole list of options here. I have myself scanned through list and yes am aware many of links are dead, yet this was the 2nd one I checked.
if this is for your device and what you are looking for then you are ready to go.
here is the thread containing the file, first link is up
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2261598
if not, check the last post in this thread. you will find a link provided from "developweb", see if that is what you are looking for, be sure to hit his thanks button. I am not going to send one of my files, again simply, because you have not told anyone device or carrier. you have already flashed wrong file once and I don't know how, but I don't want to be responsible for anyone bricking their device.
you have been a member long enough to know what information folks need and long enough to know to read. if you can provide this information, then maybe I can help you further if needed.
good luck and keep us posted

I have a Verizon S4 (build VRUFNC5) with locked boot loader. I'm interested in using Xposed Installer but want to have a way to recover if anything goes wrong. So I was looking through different methods and the only one I can find that I think will work with a locked boot loader is using Odin to flash a factory image. However, I just wanted to be sure that it will before I do anything with Xposed.
The files I found to use in Odin are found on this page:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2735172
Can someone just help me out and confirm that I will be able to use Odin and that those are the correct files I would use.
Thanks

Ok, and I shouldn't have any problems since I used the "over the air" method to update to what I have now? Even though I'm 100% stock, besides root, this method will work to unbrick and wont cause any other issues? Also, one last thing. I can't use Odin to go back to a previous build can I? As in anything before NC5 will cause problems or brick.

Yes, this won't cause any problems as long as you flash whatever your bootloader expects or anything later.

Cool, thanks a lot for your help.
so i have been trying to flash aboot.mbm from recovery,
i created my update zip and it seems to pass, but does not update the bootloader.
i tried everything i could think of (assert, package_extract, dd, write_raw_image) none of them fail in recovery but the actual bootloader doesn't update.
so now i'm wondering if that's even possible or it absolutely has to be done with odin.
any info would help.
I am fairly certain you can only flash bootloader using Odin.
I don't remember seeing any update.zip file to flash them on this device.

I pulled the stock OTA i received and was looking at the updater-script:
assert(package_extract_file("aboot.mbn", "/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/aboot"));
tried that as well and got the same result with twrp and philz, says passed but doesn't actually flash. is it a matter of signing the update.zip or is it the recovery that has access to the protected partition?
also this is just a learning experiment for me, don't want to be wasting any of the devs valuable time, but i do appreciate all the help.
edit: i do not use my G900T as a daily driver and do not mind it being a guinea pig for any experiment anyone would like to try, you can just let me know and ill be happy to help.

yes i have added all the partitions, i took them from the TAR (aboot.mbm rpm.mbn sbl1.mbn sdi.mbn and tz.mbn).
i got all the commands from the stock OTA and still got that it flashed successfully, but it really doesn't allow me to write them that way.
