[Q] Accidentally disabled system App. Home sc - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a Motorola Defy Plus(BL7). I had just rooted my phone. Then I had installed RootAppDelete and accidentally disabled a system app.
Now I keep on getting this "The application Home(process com.motorola.home) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again" This keeps on popping as a loop each time I forceclosed this. So I am unable to go to RootAppDelete app and enable those system apps back again. I'm stuck in this loop. Could someone make a zip file for any launcher which I could install from Recovery. Please!!

For starters, why in the world would you remove the phones default launcher, smh. Rookie mistake, log in to a computer and use the PC play store to download a launcher to the phone and work from there.

[Q] Application won't install?

Hai all !
I've got an app I'm trying to uninstall, and it won't do it - the uninstall button is greyed out. Instead it asks me to update the application - which fails every time.
I can't use other apps to uninstall the program, because apparently it isn't even installed on my phone. I'm stuck with my market displaying this app and prompting me to update it, and I can't do anything!
Any solutions please?
What app, which rom?
It's called "talking tom cat" and I'm using VillainROM 12
EDIT: Nevermind I've done it!

Cannot access Display options after installing Typefresh

I've installed TypeFresh on my Vibrant and now whenever I click on the Display option of the system (settings-display) the phone vibrates quickly and then tells me the application will close. I've already uninstalled TypeFresh and rebooted the phone but the issue persists. I get the message "The application settings (process com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
Any suggestions?
cheers
Rafa
.............Nobody?
Never tried TypeFresh so I can't help you with that. Here is a big list of flashable fonts, I have used then and they work really well.

Come one, fellas, a little help here.
If this happens to anyone just install an APK font. You can uninstall it later. You will have access again to the display settings.

App Market Not Working Process Error

Hey I have an xperia x10i running android os 2.2.1 it also is using CyanogenMod and CM-6.1.3-V4 with New Market. When I flash the phone and put everything back on I am able to use the market only for one down load and once that down load finishes I get an error saying.
"The application Market (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
Every time I click on the market to open it, it closes right away and comes up with that error.
Try clearing data?

Try this! Go to settings-> applications-> market -> uninstall updates
If this doesn't help, try flashing again the new market in xRecovery

If I had a penny everytime someone messed up with google apps....
If you have a backup, restore said backup, if you don't you'll have to reflash your ROM, and I'm only gonna say this once:
NEVER, EVER, EVER, FREEZE/UNINSTALL GOOGLE APPS (don't even look at them)
Google apps are necessary if you want your phone in a working condition, so don't try to freeze them or remove them because your phone will plainly stop working.

[Q] Application Google service framework force close after rooting

Hi everyone
After rooting my Nook tablet, I keep getting the popup "The application Google services Framework(process com.google.process.gapps) has stopped unexpectedly" every time I reboot. I have to choose "Force close" it.This is so annoying.
Do you guys have any idea how to fix it ?
Thank you
I haven't seen it on the Nook, but I was getting it on the Iconia A500. Turn off all syncing on your Accounts and then re-enable a service at a time until you figure out which one is causing the issue.
In my case, it was web syncing, however that's not an option on the Nook (I don't think).
Make sure you have
ContactsProvider.apk and
CalendarProvider.apk
in the /system/app folder

I have both of these installed in that location and I still get force close after reboot each time. It doesn't affect anything so I haven't worried about it.

I'm getting the same "The application Google services Framework(process com.google.process.gapps) has stopped unexpectedly" after a reboot. I followed the steps in the first post on rooting the Nook Tablet. Everything seems to work OK except for Google Talk, that force closes.
I also have the files that suggested.

I am having this same issue. Any help or suggestions other than confirming the .apks are in place.
Thanks.
I'm also having the issue but I haven't noticed any ill affects other than it is a little annoying
Here’s my framework apk, I am not sure if it will solve your FC problem.
You can use ES File Explorer to do this; it’s free from the market. You have to enable Root Explorer and Mount File System as writable in the Settings. In the Directory Settings, change current directory to “/”, without the quotation. Click back to main screen, click on the Star button, and click Home.
Copy the framework apk to /system/app/ and override the existent framework apk.
To set permission, just go to apk Properties by holding on the apk and scrolled down to Properties.
Has anybody tried to use succulent's google framework file or figured out another way to fix this problem? I've tried a factory restore by doing 8+ failed boots and re-rooted the device, installing gapps with Indirect's root method and I still immediately get the force close each time the tablet restarts.
How do you disable syncing for contacts/calander for the nook? I couldn't find that so I didn't try that method yet.
Are the permissions correct for it? rw-r--r--?

I am having the same trouble as the others. I tried your file and am still having the same problem.
I factory restored last night and re-rooted. No fc on startup now. It must be something I did later.
I downloaded the newest version, after searching google for it. I was able to install the new one fine, and now it is working fine. I beleive its the same version that was installed when I rooted last night, that one just wouldnt reinstall.

Any chance you could share where you got this? I see lots of results for GoogleServicesFramework.apk, but none that look anywhere near official.

Same problem cropped up for me.
Fixed it by clearing data for Google Services Framework: Settings...ApplicationSettings...ManageApplications...All...GoogleServicesFramework...ClearData
After reboot, all was well.
Use Recovery to Fix Permissions

Well....
After a few more reboots, the problem returned. Cleard by fixing permissions in CWM recovery under advanced menu. Rebooted twice. All is well (fingers crossed).
