My Rezound has issues connecting to my WI-Fi network at work. It's an 802.11g network using WPA/WPA2 encryption. My Rezound seems to be the only device that I can't get to work on it. When I enter the password to the network, it does connect and obtain an IP. However, it then has no internet connectivity. It works fine on my WI-Fi at home though. Any ideas?
Also, I updated the firmware on my router also, and didn't help.

Hi,
I have a strange problem with WiFi Router on my HD2. When the device is connected to internet via 3G or HSDPA and is forwarding the connection to WiFi everything is fine, but when the connection changes to EDGE or GPRS I'm not able to use DNS from the laptop connected via WiFi - I can ping some host using it's IP, but there is no way to resolve the domain name.
The HD2 on its own works fine via EDGE.
(I'm using Orange in Poland)
Anybody had similar problems? Any solutions?
Regards
gollum
I can't seem to connect to wifi. The phone keeps cycling between connecting, Obtaining IP address and Disconnected.
Anyone else having this problem? Any advice?
Are you connecting to a WPA enabled router? I've had issues on my Droid with certain routers (D-Link for one)... If I switch the router to WEP, it will connect fine.
For a phone to not support WPA is pretty lame. I picked up the TB today but I am at work. Hopefully it will connect to my home wifi network, I will update you on my results!
Had a similar problem on one of my TBolts...power cycle resolved it.
I can log onto my WPA network with no issues. Maybe bad password?
Well, I do use WEP and it will not connect. I turned off WEP just to see and it connects fine when I leave the network open.

Mine seems to be working fine, just connected to home network - I don't get a wireless icon up in the notification bar, but it goes green on my toggle.
Hi Guys,
I am Steve's 1.9.0 and was facing problems connecting to internet using my laptop internet connection. The adhoc network was not displayed in the wifi networks list. I guess by default the stock wifi stack doesnt list adhoc networks.
I flashed the updated WPA supplicant available here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=755254
Now the adhoc network is listed but when i try to connect it gets stuck on "Obtaining IP Address" and disconnects.
I have DHCP enabled on my laptop and know it is working fine as my HTC Hero is able to connect just fine.
Any ideas why this is not working for me? Is this working for anyone else?
Posting the wpa supplicant zip, just incase some one want to give it a shot and report back with their results.
I am having problem connecting VPN over AT&T's 3G network. It will log-in and get IP address from VPN server. VPN server shows it is logged in. Connection stays connected.
However, I cannot access any resources over VPN connection. Cannot even get into router. (I'm running VPN server in my router running DD-WRT).
Tried pinging router from terminal, no response.
It works perfectly when I'm connected using Wi-Fi.
Any idea what is the problem and how to fix?
No one using VPN??
Hello,
I do not find the cause of not having internet on devices connected to the P20 via its shared tethering hotspot. I have internet on the phone itself, no problem. I have a correctly configured wifi hotspot, no problem. My laptop or tablet connects to the hotspot, no problem. But They do not get internet access.
I tried all of the things I found on google : reset the APN config, reset the network settings, turning on/off the phone, etc => none of these worked to solve the problem.
I am out of ideas. Anyone a suggestion to help ?
change you "Select AP band from 5GHz to 2,4GHz" on you wifi - hotsport config, select advance
