Do you guys find that the edges lift up or that lint gets stuck on the corners or edges of the skins when you keep the phone in your pocket?
Im curious to know if there is a brand that doesn't have that problem.

Cheers! Ive been looking for some alternatives before i accidentally do some major damage to my S3.
I used to have an otterbox defender for my S3 but the screen protecting plastic was all weird. It would distort the image and it would create bubbles under it which annoy me. I tried armorguard screen protector which worked great but the vinyl feel wasnt so great either.
Right now i just have a TPU case and i LOVE TPU covers because, unlike the silicone / rubber covers, they are so easy to just get out of your pockets and they protect the phone and the screen from falls (it has a border around the screen)
My problem lies in that i dont like regular screen protectors because being an OCD crazy **** I dont like the stress of applying a screen protector and there being the tiniest spec of dust i will notice immediately and throw the screen protector away.
long story short: Any good flip cases, not the original samsung one which is flimsy, that can protect my phone? Especially awesome if its made from TPU
I tried looking in Accessories sub forum but no luck I figure this is the best place to ask directly.
Ps: anything i can do to "fix" or cover tiny hair scratches?
Have you looked in the "accessories" sub forum?

Has anyone had any experience with using screen protectors on a waterproof device?
Will they lift off under water/when you're giving it a wash?
Thinking of getting something rubbery like skinomi/bodyguardz or maybe a glass one like spiegen - but am worried it might lift off underwater.
Thoughts?
body guardz
I got body guards for mine because you can always re apply them wet so even if it does peel its meant to be wet so just peel it back over i cant say the same for glass protectors.:good:
My job entails me crawling around under houses in the dirt, so I'm looking for a case that will help protect the N6 from dirt and cover the screen so it hopefully doesn't get cracked. Does the Unicorn Beetle Pro sound like the case for me?
Yeah, the built-in protector will help a bit when it comes to dirt getting to the phone, and the shell protection is good for being single-layer. Plus, it has built-in covers for the ports.
I did find that dirt can still get in in the seam between its built-in cover and the shell frame, but it didn't reach the phone easily due to the inner glue line.
I'd offer my barely used Beetle Pro case, but I removed the built-in protector when deciding to use a different screen cover - then, I went with dual-layer cases for even more shock safety.

I purchased the Beetle Pro along with a intelliARMOR PRO edge to edge glass screen protector. Is the Beetle Pro the only case with a holster or something that actually covers the screen? Used to like the OtterBox, but they don't hold up well and don't think they ever made a N6 case.

I work in maintenance and am always dirty, greasy, crawling around and under equiptment. I use my phone a lot for manuals, pics, emails and such. I had the above case for about a week. I scratched the screen protector pretty quickly and noticed grit getting under the case pretty easy. I know it's not the greatest build quality, but quickly decided that 2 piece cases blow. I've bought a used tablet that had an otter box case and the back of the tablet has scratches all other the back from being on it.
Anyway I've learned that in my line of work, that a simple jelly type case and no screen protector seem to do best. The case is good for the occasional drop and no grit to get trapped between the screen and protector. I'm just very aware to keep it in my front pocket and nothing else goes in that pocket. I do remove the case occasionally to clean the phone and case if any grit gets build up, but it is usually little too none. If i do get grit in my pockect from dirt, welding, dust, etc. I just clean out my pocket best i can and the phone goes back in. No issues or scratches so far after a couple of months.
Not sure about tempered screen protectors, but IMHO anything that I can't remove easily to clean under is just asking for trouble with scratches. My two cents anyway.

The trouble is that while the bottom and sides provides a nice grip, the top glass bevel edge protrudes over the side edge of the Spigen case.
Thus, unlike some other cases of my other phones, placing the phone face down (or even a mild drop from 1 inch height) causes the glass to touch hard surface.
Apart from full Otterbox, is there a rubber or silicone skin that would also provide a small lip OVER the glass face, not a complete 2nd screen protector or skin completely over the front glass ?
I have the Spigen Rugged Armor case. On the top and bottom of the phone, there is a lip so that if you lay the phone face down, it's being supported by those two lips. This is much like any case you'd find on a Galaxy S7 Edge.
I have the Spigen Neo Hybrid and the Liquid Crystal and both have a lip at the top and bottom that keeps the screen off the surface when you lay it screen down.
I have a Spigen Hybrid. Sides of the case allow me to use the phone's edges, but it has a lip at the top and bottom, that even with a glass protector on gives me enough clearance to place the phone on the table face down. And I do this all the time, as when you place the phone face down on a surface, the proximity sensor shuts down the screen until you lift the phone back up again.
I've always loved Spigen cases. But all of their V30 cases have reduced profiles on the front sides, I'm assuming due to the curved glass. Since the V30 doesn't have active edges (like the S8), I fail to see the benefit other than aesthetic. And of course there is less edge to help protect the screen in a fall. A lot of the V30 cases are designed this way, but not all of them. I'm using the Tech21 Evo Check, which has a raised lip all around the screen.
Spigen Rugged Armor case has lips to prevent screen from touching surfaces when placed face down. It is a really good case. Only drawback for me, which might be for cases in general for the V30, is the fact that any dust from your pocket will sit inside the lip at the bottom of the case.
This might just be mine but I've also found that there is a tiny slit at the bottom of the phone where dust and dirt can get into, its visible as well, makes the phone luck yucky at the bottom.
I'm at work now but will try and post a picture of what I mean later on.
full adhesive screen protectors that dont have black border on all edges? &DEFENDER
looking for a full adhesive s9 screen protector that doesnt cut off my screen with black borders and is also compatible w/ the otterbo defender case. scored an awesome deal on a lifeproof FRE case, but im really wanting a glass screen protector. ive got the gadget gear 2.0 on there now, it looks nice, but the edges are kind of sharp and it collects fuzz on the glue, making it look dirty all the time. not to mention the big black borders all the way around that cut off part of the screen.
has anyone modded the defender case to work with the dome glass yet? looks like it would be fairly straight forward. ive got an alpha glass i might try to use LOCA glue on just for shiggles. thanks in advance.
