HTC Jetstream Video HOWTO Series (3 of 3)
1. [GUIDE] [VIDEO] Unlock Your Bootloader
2. [GUIDE] [VIDEO] Flash Custom Recovery
3. [GUIDE] [VIDEO] Install a ROM
There are many guides to installing a ROM on your HTC device, but few use video. I felt that seeing it done would be a big confidence boost to those of you trying it for the first time.
Installing a ROM is a big step in liberating your Jetstream from the limited out of the box capabilities it has. Custom ROMs give you an alternative to the stock ROM that shipped with your device. Your warranty is past and the stock ROM is never going be updated, so you have two good reasons to try a custom ROM.
The following is a link to my (Vimeo hosted) video guide on installing a ROM.
★★★ vimeo.com/finniest/htcjetstream-installrom ★★★
Hardware Requirements
HTC Jetstream (Flashed with a custom recovery such as TWRP.)
Software Requirements
Custom ROM archive (I used Hive.)
Remember that holding the power button and volume down button for a few seconds will power off your device. Doing the same from power off will launch the bootloader.
I hope that you enjoy your new ROM.

As we gather around our loved ones this holiday season to reflect on the blessings we possess, may we stop to remember the men and women who daily defend and secure our freedoms, and make many of these blessings possible.
I am dedicating this thread for those who faithfully serve us with honor and valor, our United States Military.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone..........Let's remember those that cannot be home with us this year..............
If you are using any Virtuous Roms (includes the latest), use the sense 3.0 version. This thread will be updated based on your suggestions.

Thank you!
Some ROM's like Resurrection Remix (found in Android Development Section) allow you to have the soft keys on screen. Not sure how well they work as I have never used it. I think it would just take up too much of the screen as we have hardware buttons already, but everyone to their own liking. Or you could sell your GS2 and buy a G Nexus!

You can check this thread:

Or, flash an AOKP rom, some MIUI roms have it too, ParanoidAndroid(CM9 based)
Well, thank you both of you.
@themadba - Yea, i know i was curious if was something like that for a stock ROM. Just wanted to test it strictly on a stock ROM, i have test them on AOKP ROM. ( and yeah, pretty useless )
@curodot - that doesn't work for stock odexed apps, like framework.

I think there are so many post about installing custom rom in the device: Neo V, there are so many guides in the Neo V development forum, please don't be lazy backreading the post in the thread, there are so many of them. It's not necessary to make a thread and ask the same questions as other people also asked years ago.
1. Unlock Bootloader
2. Root your device
3. Install Custom Kernel
4. Install Custom Rom
5. Done
I understand and thanks for your reply.I have installed wrong kernel from a thread in XDA despite the fact it was supposed to be a kernel for neo v..now im stuck and my phone just vibrates once when i press the power button
Hello Everyone,
In old versions of Android ( Kit Kat for me at least ) android had a option that when you hold the Power Button a message panel with pop out with different options which includes quickly changing Volume Profiles without needing to unlock your device.

Since Lollipop update ( I recently update it to lollipop) this options has been removed.
I was wondering if there's any app or xpose module that lets me quickly choose between sound profiles without the need to unlock my phone. Preferably from the Lockscreen or holding the power button as before.
My Phone Details
Device: LG G3 Stylus (D693)
Android Version: Lollipop 5.0.2
Rooted: Yes
Xposed Installed: Yes
ROM: Stock Lollipop 5.0.2 Via LG PC Studio
Kernel Version: 3.10.54+
Any suggestion is really appreciate it,
Thanks,

If you're anything like me you were itching to modify your Galaxy Fold and with the help of some very helpful folks in the community I've so far managed to achieve the following:
- Device rooted
- Magisk installed
- Encryption disabled
- Process authentication disabled
- Debloated (to my requirements)
The things I have not yet managed to achieve are:
- No custom kernel (no kernel sources released yet despite 4 requests! >_>)
- No TWRP (same reason as above - can't build a kernel for it until we have kernel sources.)
Once the custom kernel is out I'll draft together a guide for the whole process end-to-end of unlocking the bootloader, rooting the device, installing TWRP and installing Magisk.
Just holding off for now until we have a working recovery since if you do something wrong and break your Fold without a recovery you're in a very bad position.
Wow!
Fantastic news
I'm guessing this is for the oversea models? Not the unlocked an att
Sorry for bumping and old thread but..
If it's possible to share the resources that may work for the F900U this would be great.. Please!! *begs*
